G_L, it is true the awesome aqualily is on its way to my house.
I'll be sure to post a pic as soon as I wear 'em.  8)
No self-harming tactics allowed!  Eat some icecream if you must (or go for a walk-even better), I'm coming over and taking away all your sharp knives!!  You don't have any swords, do you?  I'll take any of those, too thank you very much.

Hey, G_L, I'm wondering why you don't have a journal here?
Oh, my movie is on, Blade, then Blade II so I gotta run.

PS, thanks for writing in my journal.  I was feeling kinda down and it cheered me up to write back to you  Grin

Today is a beautiful day.  98 degrees already!  Woo Hoo I like it hot.  Only about 5 weeks before official start of summer.  Think it's gonna be a hot one with all the rain we got this winter.  Probably a lot of fires, too unfortunately.  Such is life in the desert.
I'm getting in the habbit of bathing later at night, and surprised that it is really working for me.  I'm not a morning person and as the sun is shining earlier, this way I get to sleep in.   GrinNow that's a good thing!  Today I just spritzed w/rosewater, poneyd, bunned and sticked.  Wore my Electric Ice Original sticks in my bun.  Forgot to get a pic before leaving for work and its too messy now, so next time, eh?
Today's class was really fun for me.  I had 12 students, 6 were regulars and 6 new so we had enough blankets for everyone AND I was able to partner up oldies w/newbies and do partner postures.  Everyone likes doing partner poses.  Happy times!
I'm glad I took the time I needed to rest and feel my feelings this weekend.  I was free to have a good time teaching today because of it.  And guess what?  My headache's gone!!!
I really do need to take some time off, but this was a good break.

<sigh>
At least that beauty stayed within the "family"  Cheesy If I am to lose a pair I love, it's better to see it go to one of the ladies of the boards, it's sort of "family" see?  Cheesy Cheesy Kiss I haven't been lucky with lilies at all, only with pink. All other colours were snatched up before I even had the time to look  Cry Grin Grin
I've put aside my lilies for when my hair is longer, I *think* that that pair needs quite a big bun to carry it off well, it looks a bit topheavy otherwise?? But maybe it's just me and the way I wear only the simplest buns. I'm sure you'll come up with a creative idea to show them off. And I'll drool over them  Grin Grin Grin

P.S. As for an online journal, I wouldn't know what to write into it, I don't even have a hair routine! So, *sometimes* I b*tt in to other ppls' journals Embarrassed Embarrassed, mainly when hairsticks are involved  Grin Grin Grin

P.P.S. There's nothing like a pair of LL beauties to take the headache away!  Grin Grin Roll Eyes

G_L, I feel the same way when I pair I desire goes to one of us from the boards.  I feel like they've gone to a good home where they'll be properly looked after.  I was happily surprised that I got 'em.
So, this will be my 3rd pair of lilies.  I've worn them alone with a sort of french twist and I've worn them with a geisha stick all in a bun.  Your hair is way longer than mine.  Hubby measured for me last night (I've got a trim tomorrow) and I'm just at 19".  I say wear 'em when you want!
You're welcome to write in my journal anytime!

Today I did not want to go to work!  To make myself feel better I put on a bit of mascara and put my hair in a bun (hubby's going to oil my scalp for me tonight) and wore for the first time my Peking Opera II original sticks.  I did feel better and I think class went well.
Now I hope to get a nap in before going to voice lessons.  The recital is this Thursday.  Not really looking forward to it at the moment, I think I might be a little depressed.  Ho hum.

To quote Susan (Rapunzel) "Egads!"  I forgot to enter my latest arrivals to the collection.
Last Week I received:

Oriental Plum Original Hairstix (lovely!)

Today I got 2 new pair.  I'm going to open them now.  The first one is wrapped in a soft periwinkle blue tissue w/ matching glitter butterfly sticker and inside is...

Glow
GeishaStix (beautiful and weighty in my hand, but I just put it in my bun and I can hardly tell it's there!!)

Next one is wrapped in pastel yellow tissue with matching glitter butterfly sticker (in  profile) and inside is...

Seafoam Seduction
GeishaStix  (Oooh, so pretty the way the light moves through the stones.  I feel like a goddess wearing this pair!  Wow!!  The gold findings look Balinese-I have very fond memories of Bali  Wink)

Now, I think I've got 4 more pairs on the way.  Guess I've really been bummed lately and or my impulse control is non-existant.  Hmmmmm?

Today I got an itty bitty trim @ the salon and NO NEW COLOR!!!  Yay!  Yipee!!  Yahoo!!!
My hair has blended nicely (as you may have seen in recent pics) so no more color on my hair.  I'm very happy about that.
My current plan is to get 2" new length and then do a more major trim if my ends require it.  So, more micro trims until then about every 8 weeks.
I'm so looking forward to twin braids that go in front of my shoulders.  It is beginning to feel long, but of course not long enough!
Tonight I'mplaying w/my makeup for Thursday's recital.  Oh yes, I better practice singing, too!  Just a tweak here & there.  I'm getting excited.  La la la, boop-oop-ee-doop!
Shocked

My hair is still in the two dutch braids my hairdresser put in yesterday.  I think it will look very cute with my leotard for ballet class today, but I haven't figured out how to work a pair of hairsticks in-I tried but they stick out a bit too much.  She brought the 2 braids together into an almost bun behind my left ear, so sticks poke me in the neck.  I've considered a geisha stick, put in horizontally which will put it close to my left ear.  Couldn't hurt to try!
Tomorrow's the recital.  Feels kinda like it snuck up on me.
Haven't slept well last 2 nights, the winds are still high so sinuses are not too happy.
Bought a new body lotion and scrub that smells like roses.  Hope to try tonight, will post on results.

The rose scrub & lotion is fantastic!  Intoxicating and long lasting fragrance on my skin.
The recital was a big success, but I feel that it was not my best performance.  I think I was so concerned about the costume changes that I didn't eat.  Big mistake.  I brought almonds, but I just didn't feel like eating, so my energy for my voice was not what I would have liked.  Lesson learned.  I got a great response from the audience, I was very animated and my costumes were excellent.
I'm going to post my recital photos in the photo thread.
Our digital camera is new, so hubby didn't get the best pics this time.  Bummer!!!
Seems like hair is taking forever to grow.  I wish I had more braiding options at this time.  Perhaps just bored.

Hey!  Cool!  I became a diamond today Grin

Didn't feel like washing my hair this morning, so I made two adorable high pony tails and turned them into even more adorable buns!  I made a side part (to frame my face) and then ran the part at an angle to the crown then divided the hair straight down the middle of the back of my head.  How white my scalp looks!  Weird!!
I wish I could have figured out how to wear a pair of hairsticks with 'em, next time I'll make the buns closer together.

Tomorrow is ballet!  Yippee!!

Pizza's here-yum!  I'm outie->

Well, the pizza was undercooked (hubby bought it premade from the grocery store) so I had ice cream instead!

I'm so upset for BB.  I can't imagine what goes on in the head of someone who steals in general let alone infront of witnesses directly off someone's person.  Unbelievable.  I wonder if there were operating cameras in that elevator.  Hmmm.   Getting out my Sherlock Holm's cap...no pipe though or violin.

Today I wore my first baby Chinese bun.  It has stayed beautifully-including through ballet class.  Now I'll have to order more RapunzelStix.  Missed out on "White Oleander".  Guess I thought about it too long.  Humph.

Madame is going out of town so I won't have ballet lessons for 1-1/2 weeks.  I'm bummed.  My body really likes it.  My brain does too, now that I've had 4 classes and am starting to get a clue.

I need to plan some time off, even if I don't go anywhere.  Burn out I think.

I'm getting a craving for Dim Sum again.  I hope we can go this Saturday.  Better tell hubby.  I hope we can go see Episode III-I haven't been to the movies in a while.  Hubby is Indonesian and doesn't quite get the story (not having grown up with it-I don't know if he's seen the films) so I ordered the movies on DVD so we can watch them together and I can explain the story to him.
I still remember going to the theatre w/my parents when Star Wars was originally released.  I think I was 7.  It was cool.  I'm totally a sci-fi fan.

It was only 103 degrees today.  A cooling trend?  I wonder.

I haven't worn my hair down in a long time, so after washing this morning I left it down, using a plastic headband to keep my hair out of my eyes.  It was a nice change of pace, but I think I prefer wearing it up.  The high temps make it extra nice, but I miss wearing hairsticks!

Spoke w/family today.  It was nice, we don't talk enough.

I'm so happy the weekend is here, but I don't get any time off-gym hours you know.  So!  Tomorrow is off, I just wish I had someone to talk to until hubby gets home.

And my wish comes true- hubby invited me to go out to lunch w/him and some of his co-workers, so now I'll have someone to talk to. Shocked
I'm bummed I don't have ballet until the 8th of June.  I hope Madame revitalizes on her time off.
Ahh, so what pair of sticks to wear to lunch?  I'm leaning toward swing sticks...
We're on for Dim Sum tomorrow, not deffinite on the movie  Sad
I really want to go!!
I went ahead and ordered a horn comb for scritching, some scalp oil and chill out spray from LML.  Guess it should ship Monday.  I hope I love it!  I think my scalp will love the scritching anyway.

I just missed out on them too.   Roll Eyes   FYI, I'm wearing a birdsnest bun today and I used 2 regular length LL sticks.  I just stuck one in on either side of the ponytail--it's working so far.
