Ahh, well.  At least I know it went to a good home.  Walk in beauty as you wear them in beauty.  Kinda figured we have similar tastes: affection for cats, sushi, dark stuff...

Today will be first use of lavatea shampoo w/#9.  Hair feels a tiny bit dry - after 3 days use of camo/superclear.  Have protein treatments coming up Sun & Mon.  Considering working with rag curls again (just to get the hang of 'em for when I might need 'em) but I have crampies today so I probably won't do much but laze around and enjoy my day off!

I feel like my hair will grow more freely now that I've canceled my trim.  I have very few splits at the moment, so grow baby grow!

Be sure to check out how often you should be using #9 - and rinse, rinse, rinse, I found that made a huge difference for me...have fun with lavatea ...g

It should feel at home immediately, with all of the other red sticks I own.   8)  I have a bit of a thing for red, or had you noticed?

And hey, if you like cats, I have a fantastic long haired calico with a slight case of feline leukemia and a hatred of tabbies that I'm 5 seconds away from stuffing into a mailer and sending to Antartica.  Interested?   Grin  There could be a hairstick in it for you..... Roll Eyes

Gabi, I'm alternating 10-B & #9 about every 3 days.  I figure I'll use it today and tomorrow then the 2 days of protein treatment.
I noticed my scalp felt really tingly (wintergreen I think) the first time I used #9 so perhaps I didn't get it all rinsed out.  Second time was better.

13bodies, thanks for the offer to adopt another furry purry but I think the one I have isn't ready to have competition.  (See April 28th entry for photo of Sweetie)
If she'd be up for it a hairstick bribe wouldn't be necessary.  DId you also get the Spitfire Shadowstix?  I'm trying to get a complimentary red pair or individual for a red geisha stick I have.  Guess I'll be on the lookout for you, speedy.

*Sigh*
I made the yummiest blueberry coffeecake for breakfast this morning!Mmmmmmmmmmmm.  I french braided my hair last night, sure makes sleeping cooler.  Whew!  It's only supposed to get up to 107degrees today.  I copied the instructions for the soft pompadour & psyche knot that 13bodies mentioned in her journal, look forward to experimenting w/this 'do.

I had several dreams that still seem to follow me around now that I'm awake.  I'm just hanging out indoors today-I need a no brainer day (actually, probably need a week) so hubby's out running the erands.  He's a good guy.

I was surprized that the lavatea shampoo didn't smell strong or make my scalp tingle.  It's nice, but I think in the future I'll use superclear in between camo and lavatea.  My hair is just the slightest bit less soft.

I think I want sushi for lunch.  Better call hubby.  I AM so spoiled.

I was wondering if you'd read this:  http://www.longhairs.com/source/use/surprise.htm

might help, the #9 is definitely one you can overdo, but that rinsing, first quite hot, then normal is what I have found makes a huge difference in how it comes out dry.

enjoy, g

Gabi, thanks for the link-I looked it up right after I received my surprise pak 'cause I didn't know what was what!  I'm not sure what you mean by "the #9 is definitely one you can overdo", will you please clarify?

I did the protein treatment last night and my hair is super soft and smells really good.

I'm bummed I can't dance right now, feels like I'm getting fat.  I will go to bellydance troup meeting today to stay in touch.

Goody, this means I can eat whatever I want before going since I'm not dancing!!!

Another protein treatment is on schedule for tonight.  How can my hair stand this delicious treatment???

I just went browsing over there and I looked and looked and looked.  I think I may be full of beans on that one.  Maybe I just picked up on the #10b is the most used and can't overdo thing.  Mostly what I found were re-iterations to rinse well and hot and scrub it into the scalp, but you knew that already  Grin Mea Culpa.

When in doubt - don't take my word for it as I'm new to the system myself  Grin

#19n9 -  yummmmmmmm - I love it on my face, neck and itchy lower legs too.

Best wishes on getting back to your dancing soon - I go bonks when I can't run ...g

*Yaaawwwwnnnnnn*
Well, I've just woken from a very long nap.  After teaching 3 classes and driving around in the 111+degrees heat I think I got a bit tired!

After my second protein treat my waves really are pronounced.  I'm so lovin' LML.  Hopin' to MP next month.

Not much new-am glad I went to troupe practice even though I didn't dance 'cause I was able to correct the newbies on some of those little details that  (in my opinion) really make a difference in the performance!  I plan on going to a class on Thursday to work on zills.  Dum*dum*tek*a*tek*dum*tek*a*tek*tek*a (beladi rhythm-I can currently either zill or dance w/this pattern but not both at the same time)

Hi there, Greek_Lady!   Zills are basically finger cymbals that are played by bellydancers while dancing.  Here's some photos of mine:

...

As you can see, I have two sets.  The larger set on the left has a deeper tone and the set on the right has a bright, bell-like tone.

Here's how you wear them:

...

This is the open position that allows the sound to ring out.

...

This finger position mutes the sound so it is more like a clack or click than a ring.

Same ol' same ol' on the hair front.  I think it got to over 115 degrees again today.  Thank God/dess for airconditioning in cars.

Whaaaaaaaa!  I found a bunch of spits today.  I am bummed!

Had a massage-serious work on my hip.  I hope it's getting better but now I'm wiped out (which I take as a sign that my body needs the energy for healing) so I think I'll stay home.  Mixed feelings about that.  Maybe I'll take a bath.

I enjoy the heat in general, but its so hot I just want to be still.  Monsoons aren't here yet, I hope they're not late this year.

Let's see...today will be superclear w/#10-B.  That means tomorrow will be first day of Ouzo shampouzo and #9.  I hope I have enough product to make it through the end of the month!!!  I really appreciate how quickly my hair dries using LML, its awesome!!!

HeeHee, did a facial scrub on hubby last night.  His face looked to good this morning.
