Thanks, Khrome & Juri.

I got the comb at Sally's Beauty Supply for $1.99.  It's a keeper!

Okay.  You are officially now my hair guru.  *bows*

I am totally going to try both the Mary Poppins and the zigzag part with mini buns.

Thanks!   Grin

Long hair is considered bohemian, which may be why I grew it, but I keep it long because I love the way it feels, part cloak, part fan, part mane, part security blanket.&&&&Sir Arthur Wing Pinero

Divewench!  As your Guru Rambut (pronounced goo-roo ram-boot) I'm glad to hear you'll be trying out new styles.  Please post photos of your results!  Thanks.  *returns bow*

I've had a nasty headache for more than a day now.  My head hurt so bad this morning I didn't even shower.  I hope I feel up to it tomorrow!

I feel like my hair is longer that 19.75.  Weird.

Whew!  I am so glad my headache is FINALLY gone!  Last night about 10pm it quit so I put some coconut oil on my hair from the ears down.  I've had this tub of oil for awhile and just used it for the first time.  I braided my pigtails and put a little bliss balm on the ends of my tails.  I'm not sure if that's how I'm supposed to use it, but I gave it a try.  I slept w/my hair oiled (haven't done that in months!) and washed this morning w/ camo shampoo and #10-b.  My hair is so soft!!!  The ends are also blonder.  Maybe from the coconut oil?  Even hubby noticed, AND he said my hair looks longer.  That made my day!!!  Happy w/ hair except...

I had so much volume I wound up with a big fat bun.

Voila!  Big, fat bun w/ paris disco futuristix

...

Had my 1st back to back prenatal and meditation classes today.  I was a little weak from having that headache for almost 3 days but it went well.  Hope I'll feel stonger soon.  Have one class tomorrow.

Addition to collection, #112

Simply Chic LL Original Hairsticks

This bead will go w/so much!  I love how the design looks like hearts.  Absolutely beautiful!

Thanks, you all are so kind.  Sometimes when the weather changes and we get a pressure system that doesn't move I get waylaid by these never-ending headaches.  I feel freed when they finally let up.

Since I've been wearing "the hair" up so much I decided to go wavy today.  After washing w/LML ouzo shampoozo and conditioning w/#10-b, I applied Jessicurl rockin' ringlets and confident coils.  I think my waves are getting more and more defined as its getting longer.  I think 'cause it is right around shoulder length I'm getting broken hairs.  Eventhough I want to trim them off, I think I'll continue w/s&d's and when I get another inch or two then I'll have 'em trimmed so the breakage lessens.  Am I crazy?

Here's today's outcome (still pretty damp) with the flash:

...

This one was taken w/o the flash:

...

Which one shows the wave better, in your opinion?  Thanks in advance for participating in my poll.

Today's voice lesson was AWESOME!!!  I was totally relaxed (still feeling weak from the headaches) and hit a high B like it was no big deal.  SOOOO cool.  I'm so ready for this recital.  I feel good about it and think I'm singing better than ever.  I'm so greatful for finding Cory, my teacher.  For once I've got a teacher that wants to help me and not compete with me.  She's helping me improve and grow so much.  Yay!

I got a new song for the January recital.  Boy howdy is it high!  It is a 20th century piece so its like an artsong w/jazz chords.  The melody definately goes places your ear doesn't expect.  It will be challenging but I love a challenge.

I'm hoping to get the new dress and my corset SOOOOON!

Lovely waves!

At first glance, I'd say you can see the waves better in the first pic.  But then I noticed that the ambient lighting in the second pic lights up all your hair (though not as brightly.), In the first one the top of your head gets lost in shadow.  I tend to lean towards the second pic.

You'd think the sharper contrast of the first would make it more pronounced but actually I think it's too close to call - it just looks different.

Congrats on hitting the High Note !!!...g

Hmm, my pick is for the second picture, but both show your waves.

Congratulations on hitting that note! I'm glad you have a teacher who wants to help improve your skills.  Smiley

Thanks, Khrome, Moonchild, Gabi, & Juri.

I am wondering, does anyone think that scrunching the hair creates split ends?

Tonight I found little splits, dots, "the wave" AND TWO HOLES!

New plan of action:

oil sleeping pigtail braids every night.  Guess I for sure can't miss out on shampooing.  (hee hee I originally wrote whampooing  Roll Eyes )

I'm loving the length I now have and want more but am concerned that I'll start looking raggedy w/ these splits.  Boooo.

Your 10b is good for both scrunching and sleeping.

I definitely think that scrunching wet hair without a protective coating could make splits, dots or breaks...g
