I just love your face-art  Smiley I wouldn't have the patients for that. Amazing!

I have been buying goodies for Halloween as well. It became quiet popular here in Germany over the last few years. And the German kiddos in the neigborhood just love all that American style candy they normally don't get
Grin
My witch costume should be still around somewhere and hubby will build a fire in an old metall drum, so we have it nice and warm, while sitting and waiting on all these little "critters"   - and it adds to the atmosphere  Grin

Just one more big box of Halloween stuff coming from fright catalog-still waiting on my uv chalk and treats from oriental trading company.  I'm not giving out candy this year-I ordered skull maracas, assorted whistles (pumpkins, ghosts, witches) and pumpkin magnets.  I figure since many parents don't let their kids eat the candy that I'd offer something to encourage their creativity.  The magnets are really for the little ones, so they can be put on the fridge and admired.  Frankly, I can't wait to play with the maracas myself!

What a neat idea!  I think I'll go to the import store where they have little party favors like that.  We don't get many trick-or-treaters anyway because I live in an apartment.  I'm tired of having to work off all the leftover candy I eat.  Smiley

I'm writing this on hubby's laptop 'cause our cpu is needing to be reformated.  Dang it!

Thanks, Moonchild.  Today I got some cool glitters to add depth to the painting.  Luckily for me I really enjoy doing it.

Khrome, let me know what cool treats you get.  I decided I didn't want a houseful of candy, either.

Hair is nice, seemed to get some attention today...I didn't take any pics, stupid computer!

Today I ordered an antique Tibetan singing bowl.  I've been using a chime to signal the end of savasana (relaxation pose) but its a bit bright.  Originally I needed the bright sound (it's an E-designed to invigorate) 'cause I was putting people to sleep.  Sleep is good, but not the purpose of the posture.  The singing bowl will be more mellow-this one is tuned to the 4th chakra (heart center) when struck and to the 1st chakra (root) when you run the thingy around the rim.  I just can't remember the word I want at the moment!  It should be here soon 'cause its coming from Tuscon.  Unfortunately I had to pay taxes, but it beats paying for the gas to drive down there.  Tuscon is about 2-1/2 hours from here.

I won some black roses and rose buds on Ebay-Halloween decor.  I was having a really difficult time finding them locally as well as on the net.  Sounds like I'm getting a lot of them-they'll come in handy for next year's bash, "A Deading".
Heehee.  I'll be a skeleton bride (this year's makeup will come in handy...) and hubby the skeleton groom.  I am planning on a real wedding cake ala "The Corpse Bride" but we're not having a real ceremony.  I haven't worked out all the details in my head yet.  You should see my wish list at FrightCatalog.com!!!

Next thing will be a garage sale in November.  I don't know if there's enough time to get through all the crap to get rid of.  Mostly we need to get it out so I can store all of my growing Halloween collection!

Still have to memorize my recital music, practice guitar and chanting.  Wednesday night I went to my first chanting @ Michele's-it was so fun.  2 hours went by so fast!  We did a chant in Tibetan, one in Punjabi (Sikh) and one in Hebrew.  Awesome!  Next one is October 26th.

Here is a website that shows how to spray paint fake red roses black.  There's still a bit of red at the base, but if you can't find enough black roses, it's an option.

Thanks, 13bodies for the link.

Today was football day, hubby and his friend watched football back to back.  I took a nap.

I wore a french braid to work today.  It is just long enough that the tail doesn't stick out off the back of my head.  Yay.  I really like working in a french braid.

I like to make jello shots and bring them to the Halloween party.  This year, from Oriental Trading Company I found plastic shot glasses that are Halloween characters.  They're too cute!!

Tomorrow my singing bowl should arrive.  I've very excited!  I hope I've got a bag around here somewhere that I can carry it to work in.

The weather is so beautiful now, our sunsets are really vibrant.  Full moon-ready for the spotlight?

Hair is happy, looking better everyday!  Bliss balm is huge for me.  I can hardly wait to see what a magic pak will do for me!

We are having an awesome thunderstorm at the moment-I hope the power doesn't go out until after I've posted this!

I got my singing bowl today-I'm very excited to bring it to work tomorrow Smiley

Hubby got a huge promotion today and we went out to dinner to celebrate.  I'm very happy for him and proud of him.  YAY, Hubby!

This week seems fairly uneventful, but now that I've said that...

Hair is still behaving and growing, I think.

That's all for now!

Thanks, you guys!  He's very happy, but the announcement to the whole company won't be made until Friday so he has to sit on his good news.  He called me right away on his cell phone-outside so no one would hear.

I didn't dress up too much, we went to Texas Roadhouse for ribs.  YUM!!!

BB-I got the black & silver Rapunzelstix, I couldn't resist!

I played the singing bowl in my classes today to good response.

Bad news: on my way in to work I stopped at a coffee house to get some tea and it had been raining.  When I stepped up onto the curb I slipped and jammed my right toes into the curb.  I think I bruised it.  Driving got progressively more diffucult-I stayed home from guitar lessons which bummed me out even more!  Luckily I don't have to work until Saturday-you should see me now!  I've got my leg up on the desk with an ice pack across my toes.  Makes typing a challenge...

I'm so sorry you hurt your toes.  I just smashed my little toe the other day - lost part of the nail, so now I have this swollen, bloody little toe.  I guess I'll be wearing socks to hide it for a while!

Hope you heal quickly! (I'm sure the black and silver RapunzelStix will help  Grin )

Sad  Sorry about your toes!  Maybe you should get them checked?  A similar thing happened to me a couple years ago, except I stubbed it on an uneven sidewalk.  Also in the rain, and it was cold.  So I didn't notice the pain as much.  I had an ache for a long time, and still have problems with it.  And it seems my toe is a little crooked!!!  I think I might have broken or fractured it, and didn't know.  I really wish I had it checked at the time.

I'm hoping all you got was a bruise though, and hope you heal up fast!

Singing bowl sounds cool.  Is it one of those gadgets that have a motion sensor inside of it?

OOUCH!!  If they really hurt you could gently tape them together or to an unijured toe with soft fabic tape from the drug store.  It just gives them a little extra support so they don't hurt as much when you walk Cry

Khrome, the bowl I have is the real deal:
www.equinoxbooksandgifts.com under singing bowls under antique singing bowls.

Chilipepper, thanks for the suggestion of the tape!

I'm pretty much fine today.  No visible bruising, so I think I'll be OK.

Excellent news today...I've got my computer back as of this evening!!!!!!!  Boy, I was stressing not being able to check the boards during the day.
