I have to share this.  I live in southeast Missouri and, while I do see a few in the area, I don't see great numbers of long haired women (or men).  Well, last night, hubby and I went out to eat at The Barrel (Cracker Barrel, that is).  Lo and behold, in walks a couple, probably in their 40's or 50's and the woman had long hair!  She had it in a simple braid down her back but it must be at least waist length when it's loose.  It was like a sign from God!  I mean, it must be since I only decided to grow out my hair the day before!!  Anyway, I thought it was kinda neat.   

LOL!  It is probably part of that phenomonen that once you take an interest in something, you start seeing it everywhere.

True--i am finding myself taking an silent, internal survey of every woman's hair that I see...and I'm seeing a lot of short hair, especially on the ones aged 40+.  Not that everyone looks good in long hair, that's not what I'm saying.
