Although, I have a question for you and the rest of the gang here. People are starting to notice my length and say, in a nice way (so far), "Gee, Trish, your hair sure is getting long!"  What's your response?   ???  To me, it sounds kind of redundant and vapid when I reply, "Yep, it sure is!"  What else can I say though?  Or maybe "yep, it is" IS the correct response?

I usually answer "Yes, thank you for noticing."

That's funny, Trish, because I've often wondered that very same question!  I never really know if I should just agree that it has gotten long, but then I feel arrogant just saying, "yeah, I know"  Roll Eyes, so I usually just end up saying thank you and act like they gave me a compliment.  And it truly is a compliment for me, because as the rest of us here, I work so hard at it.  So for me, it's usually a "thank you".

Oh, BB, that's good:  thank you for noticing...I like that.   Smiley
There's our answer, Maggie!

Hair
It was very oily when I rose this morning, so I felt the need to wash.  Ugh.  No 5-days-without-washing this week!!  The only different thing I've done this cycle is the SDMT.  *shrug*  Oh well, I really don't care, one way or another.  Maybe it's simply my perception, too.  For instance, today I'm going out to lunch; I'll be out in public, therefore I want my hair to look it's best.  "Best" in my mind means clean.  It's all pee-syk-oh-logical.

Other
Made a trip to the church cemetery last evening at 6 pm.  But the light was worse than before.  Let me explain.  The first trip to the cemetery happened around 1-2 pm Sunday afternoon.  I want to take polaroid pictures of some family tombstones--polaroids so I can see within minutes if the shots are readable.  I shot a couple of stones but the sun was directly overhead and the glare was too much.  I apparently need to visit the cemetery early in the morning, way before high noon, when the sunlight will be in back of me.  So it seems as if Saturday morning will be my next attempt.  I guess I could go before work some morning, but I don't want to be rushed when I do this.

Hey Trish,

Just before sunrise and just after sunset are the prime times of the day for pix.  Wink

...especially in a cemetery, eh, Angel?!   Shocked

Hair
Second day hair, high ponytail today.  Won't wash again until the weekend, probably Sunday.

The results of my pap test are negative.  Thanks again, Lord!  Sometimes it's hard to believe that I'm once again considered "normal"...

It's very quiet here at work today.  I have a couple of jobs I could do...but I really don't feel like doing them.  You know what I want to do?  I want to go someplace quiet and write.  Several months have passed since I've written any stories.  I keep a handwritten journal, sure, but that doesn't count.  I can't write at home because my husband is always there--I require peace and solitude to create.  Hmm...maybe if I wake up an hour earlier each morning...maybe.

I'm taking off from work today at noon, by golly!!  I've finished my work and there's nothing going on.  Why not, eh?  It's very overcast today with an impending storm.  But if the storm holds off until, say, 1 or 2 o'clock, then I can head to the cemetery to shoot those photographs.  Keep your fingers crossed!  Hope y'all have a good weekend!   8)

I so liked the smell of VO5's Tea Therapy line that I bought the Clarity shampoo and the Tranquility condish, and began using it over the weekend.  I still love the Giovanni line, don't get me wrong.  Honestly, though, if the VO5 or Suave or xyz brand works just as well for me then I cannot justify the cost.  It sucks that life has to come down to money, but dem's dah facts...

Other
I do NOT want to be at work today.  I feel cooped up, hemmed in and...prickly.  I don't want to be around people, or ringing phones, or computers, or people--did i mention people?  *sigh*  I can't explain what's brought on this mood.  I was fine when I awoke this morning.  I was fine when I arrived at work this morning.  *shrug*  Oh well...I get this way every now and again.  I just have to ride it out.  I wish I had a pretty, smelly candle to burn; it would help.  Ciao for now lovelys.

Too right.  Roll Eyes  A society that functions without money is a lovely ideal, but not a practical one, and even if it were practical, we won't see it in our lifetime. *sigh*

I've got lots of smelly candles too, and incense if you'd like!  I think its OK to be prickly if that's how you're feeling.  Don't fake it being nice-that's worse!!

Hair
Second day hair is up in a french twist, secured with a claw clamp.  It's been years since I've had hair long enough to wear a french twist.   Grin

oooooo, candles AND incense!!  Pretty much any kind of smell would do...except coconut.  Something Autumny, I'm thinking.  I'm definitely going to buy one for my desk at work.  Even if I don't burn it, I can at least sniff it every now and then!   Roll Eyes  I'm so ready for the Fall season!

Maybe you can find a pumpkin or gingerbread smelling candle.......that sounds so comforting....like a nice hot cup of chai, without the calories!   Grin  I must look for one myself, great idea for the desk at work too!

Hair
Washed today with VO5 Tea Therapy s+c.  So far so good, though true results won't be realized for another couple of weeks.  I still have some of the Giovanni s+c, so if need be I can quickly switch back.   Smiley

I knew I had brought up the subject of Wicca before, but wasn't sure when...finally found the thread, and I place it here for a reason:

Thanks to all who responded!
A funny thing happened over the weekend...(no, that's not an intro to a joke! *lol*)
I suddenly remembered purchasing the book "Wicca" by Scott Cunningham a few years ago.  I started digging around in my stash of books that I keep stored in the basement and viola!, there it was.  Coincidence?  I think not!
I'll tell y'all what--I'm a big believer in signs, omens if you will.  Ever since I started exploring Wicca, the signs are good...really good.

Trisha

Again I'm getting that feeling, that pull towards a more basic...earth centered way of life.  It seems to call me more in the Fall, though the tug is a bit early this time.   Smiley  There has to be some reason for this call, and I think I very much need to start walking down that path to find out if it's truly meant for me.  I ought not to just poo-poo this feeling away (as i've done in the past).

Let me say, though, right away that I believe in a Supreme Being.  Call it God, Buddha, insert-personal-preference-here.  I believe this Supreme Being created the universe and everything in it.  I believe this Supreme Being is with us all the time.  I feel as if this Being embodies both the male AND the female aspects--more balanced than male-only.  No, I am not a feminist--no flames, please.  Anyway, yes, I think I'll travel down this road for a while and see where it takes me.  As always, comments and suggestions are welcome.

I must have been really tired,my english was so far off!  Sorry! Embarrassed  The candles are on QVC and I think I've seen them offered only in vanilla.  Hopefully they've come out with another scent.
