Panty hose!  They should be banned!  Maybe you can find some support knee highs.  I wore those when I was pregnant because my feet and ankles were so swollen.

Don't even think about the labor pains.  Just keep thinking about that precious little life you will be bringing into the world and how wonderful it will feel to hold, cuddle and nuture it.  THAT's why we have babies. Smiley

BB, your wise words usually bring me comfort, thanks Smiley. My varicose veins are worse than ever in my  left leg. i didnt know that hemmoroids were a big vein in the anus. Dr. taught me that last visit. hopefully from the grace of God i wont get any there. Unfortunately i have a few in my vulva. hopefully they wont get any worse.  i have never had this with the other pregnancies.  Dr. says it is common in white women, but not so much with african american women. Undecided I try not to think about labor pains, i just hope and pray i can get through it ALIVE. Roll Eyes

Hair- I got some Rosemary hair oil from a health food store. it is made in France.  The ingrediants were peanut oil and some other things. It says hair and scalp natural conditoner. I read the other day that rosemary oil keeps your locks healthy and also make them appear thicker. I need to make more herbal Curly Girl spray. Im worried that me keeping my hair in a bun everyday might cause hairloss. my scalp has been acting up and my hair is a little knotty. Angry I wish everyone( including me good hair for life! Until next time.

Thanks Meg! You are soooo sweet. Goodluck on your wedding.

We got 2 pet african land turtles yesterday for the kids. they are adorable. the kiddies love it. they get to feed it lettuce and carrots. I hope its not to hard to maintain. I can barely take care of myself and my own kiddies. Undecided  Im giving one turtle as a graduation gift to my nefew.

There was some henna placenta at Walmart yesterday and i bought one for conditioning but it doesnt change the color. I havent tried it yet but i made 3 more bottles of  Curly Girl herbal hair sprays.

Until next time

Turtles!! I love turtles!  Cheesy  They shouldn't be too much trouble. Tell the kiddies to be easy on their shells - they have feeling there.

I think I know the henna placenta treatment that you're referring to. It comes in a brown and white packet, right? I used it once in high school, though it was many years old. I found it in an old case of my grandmother's cosmetics...about 11 years after she'd passed away.  Tongue  Believe it or not, they haven't changed the design on the package in all that time. I saw it at Wal*Mart just the other day and did a double take.

Hang in there, Curlygirl. Sorry about your vericose veins. Oy, that must be so awful! It will all be over with soon, though and you'll have a brand new member of the family to enjoy.

If I'm not mistaken, you should be about 2 weeks from your due date.  I'll be thinking of you each day and sending positive vibes for an easy delivery of a healthy, happy baby.   Kiss

Angelspun and BB you ladies are truely two wonderful ppl! Smiley

Angelspun, did you ever own any turtles? They are soooooooo easy to care for! What a blessing.

Yes, thats the same henna placenta i got from Walmart. I wonder if it works. I havent had time to use it yet.  Sorry again about your Grandmothers passing. May God ease your pain.

Its a struggle to live with Varicose Veins. Hopefully they get better. Dr. says they are dangerous. But no one is perfect or has perfect legs. hehe.

BB, my due date is June 18th. Thanks for your well wishes.

Hair- I have been putting castor oil on my hair and in a elegant bun and rosemary hair oil.  Thats all for now.

Nope, I have never owned turtles myself, but I've learned a bit about them over time. I especially love sea turtles. They're so cute!!!!!  Grin

I don't remember the henna placenta packet doing all that much for my hair, but then...I was in high school at the time, my hair was crap and the packet was at least 11 years old.  Tongue Hopefully, you'll have a different experience.

Thank you for your condolances. The grandmother I was referring to, though was not the one who passed recently (that was my father's mother who passed away in March). My mother's mother passed away in 1985, and it was in her old cosmetic case that I found the placenta packet.
I have but one grandparent left.  Undecided

Tell me about it. I have many spots of blue & purple "spider veins" all over mine for some reason. 'Tis one of many reasons that I never show my legs in public.

I hope that the next 2 weeks are easy for you. You must be very excited! Do you know whether you're having a boy or girl, or do you want it to be a surprise?

Angelspun, Thanks for your well wishes about my last weeks of pregnancy. We are very excited and ready to get the show on the road!  We dont know what we are having. Everyone says because im carrying  wide it must be a girl.  Hopefully healthy, sex of baby doesnt matter to us.  Uncle, from out of town,  says he has never seen me this big. Sad He has never seen me pregnant, because he lives in Louisiana. Tongue   A Girl would be nice, something different, and lots of pink. Im already worried that i wont be able to do her hair wonderfully and it might have a lot of knots when shes older. WOW. do i think ahead. Grin  Im not wonderful at style or fashion and afraid i might let her wear ill fitting clothes. sometimes i do wear those on accident. im no fashion expert. Embarrassed  A Boy would be using his brothers all his gently used things and saving my husband a fortune. ??? Plus im not even that great at doing my hair, so brushing my sons hair back with aloe gel and spraying with herbal spray works well now. Thankfully i dont have to worry about knots now, and only the ones i have.  Undecided I just hope God makes things easier.

Ma still asks on a daily basis if i BRUSHED my hair today.  Sad I told her i can only comb curly hair. She doesnt get it and wished i had straight ruly hair. ??? She also says its never shiny and wants to know what shampoo i use. My hair will never be perfect and i will never be. Its makes my hair confidence low. Cry

Hoho, I'm getting excited about your delivery and we haven't even met in real life! *LOL* Anyway, good luck to you and hubby! I hope you have a healthy and happy baby!

Your mom. *sigh* Despite what she thinks, I think you have gorgeous hair, Curlygirl! I don't think rag curls or even (gasp!) a curling iron would give me such nice curls. Hmm, do you want to trade hair for a day? jk Grin

I'm thinking of you each day, and remembering my last couple of weeks of pregnancy.  Being in that "I just want to NOT be pregnant anymore" phase, always uncomfortable, "running" (Ha!) to the potty constantly, the baby doing gymnastics tumbling runs inside me.  It was about 2 weeks before delivery that I ended up with 2 broken ribs from the kicking and rolling!  Grin  And ankles as bad as mine are now!  Always swollen.

But on the up side - all the movement told me my baby was ALIVE and growing which increased the chances of it being healthy.  Healthy is the most important thing, isn't it?

As for your mom - do what I do, just let the comments slide and not dwell on them.  She probably means well, but the words just come out wrong.

Keep us up to date - we're all excited about becoming cyber-aunts!

Cyber-aunts...I like that!  Especially since I'll never achieve actual "auntdom" in real life.   Smiley  Curlgirl, do you have names picked out?  --maybe you posted them already and I simply missed them!
Take care,
Trisha

Same here. My sister once planned to have many children. Now, like me, she doesn't want any...ever.

I wouldn't trust in the traditional "symptoms." They're closer to wives' tales than fact. Everyone (including the doctor) thought that my sister would be a boy up until the minute she was delivered. We're still not sure about that girl...
I always used to tell my mother, "You had a girl, and a monkey."  Grin

Whatever you have (hopefully no monkeys  Grin), I'm sure it will be healthy and will have lovely hair like yours.
