measued my hair fot the first time today, just over 58cms (thats 23 inches)  when its dry.

I had it trimmed yesterday (or the day before... when was it?), got two inches taken off because not only did I have split ends upon split ends upon split ends, but above the split ends I had these tiny white ball lump thinds in my hair, as in in each indicidual hair.  they were usually an inch from the end, and when I pulled on the hair beneath them it just fell off.  But they are all cone, and I'm using a shampoo for oily roots and dry ends, and conditioning my ends carefully.  my roots don't look greasy every day now, and my ends aren't dry and brittle and snapping off.  I'm currtetly washing it every three days or so.

I think someone waxed my head and attached silk threads to me head.

My hair is so soft!
It got really greasy, as I haven't washed it for a week... or so... (eight days! the shower's broke!) and so I shampooedit twice then as there wasn't any conditioner left I used this other conditioner, its a natural friuts conditioner, peach for dry hair, not that my hair's dry, except at the ends but thats butter now.  So, I find out this conditioner is super runny, when it all pored into my hand. not wanting to waste any, and I coulfn't put it back in the bottle, I just used it.

It was o soft and silkey yesterday, and still is today, I keep touching it.  Oh, and last night when I plaited my hair before going to bed, my plat was twoce as thick, and no, I'm not kidding.  its like my hair has doubled in thickness, though the cut I had the other day could also be contribiting to that too.

Today my hair is in an extreamly put-uppy mood.  I attempted a dutch crown, but mucked it up right towards the end, and I find it hard to restart half way through.  So I just sis a dutch braid, and it worked real well.  I got enough hair in at the top of my head, so it actually looked like a braid laying on my head Smiley
Then I put this decorated comb thing half way down.
I even got a compliment on it!

Then when I got home I did two dutch braids, then wraped the ends together into a low bun and pinned them, and I have two accent braids starting at the top of my head and looping round.  No hair ties in this, about five bobby pind and that's it Smiley

Thankyou bikerbraid!

Yesterday I got some of the fructis conditioner, I use the ouly roots dry ends shampoo, so I got the same in the conditioner, haven't tried it out yet, but will do so tomorrow night.  I also got some more hairties.  I had to get some new ones before, so I cot scunci thinking they weould be good, but I keep breaking them the first time I go to use them, they break on the join.  So these ones are they hosery type ones, $3 for 34 isn't too bad! they were kids ones, so they're quite smalish which is good, they stretch too, so thats even better, and these ones won't break.  I got some nice muted tones.  I also got two ibis vlips, $3 for two, but I think I'll go for the espensive ones next time, cos these one's don't hold much hair, they just pop out if I try to clip too much hair.  I also got a new wide toothed comb.

I also sat down and sorted out a box for all my hair stuff.  It was in a shoe box with little containers for everything, but it was all jumbled up so I tidied it. I also moved my one pair of hairsticks (yes, I got some of those too! just cheap plastic ones, but they're pretty purple swirley ones) from my puncil kar on my desk into my jar with my brushes etc.

ok, one of two things will happen tomorrow.

Option one is I rush home after work, steal some vinagar and do a clarifying rinse, or something.  Option two is it looks lovley.

Ok, what I did.  I took my new fructus oily roots dry ends condishner into ths shower, and my wide toothed comb.  I combed my hair really really well.
Then I got into the shower, and not standing under the water I combed my hair so it humg over my right shoulder.  It was a tad damp at this point, a few sprinkles of water had gotton on it.  Usually the first thing I do now is we it as wer as I can, to absorb the moisture.  I decided not to do that.  I put a little bit of condish on my roots (I usually never apply it to my roots, usually I condishon the ends at this point, sometimes running my hands over my scalp so the condishoner tainted water can get there, but thats it)and started combing it through.  I repeated down the length.  I kept going untill I could feel condishioner all the way down my length. I was so supprised at how much thid took that half ways I began diluting it 50/50 with water.  I also steped under the shower briefly as well to get some water.  This I combed through my lungth.  This was the first time I'd ever used a comb in the shower.  It glided really really easily though, so I used it.

Then I gently combed and washed the condishoner out.  My hair under the water felt like liquid silk, litterally.  When it was finally all out, I shampoed the scalp as usual, and really noticed how dry the hair at my scalp got there after this, it was so silkey from the condishoner.  I washed the suds through my length, then did a final condisioning.

Normally when I get out of the shower I have to wait till my hair's just damp to start fingercombing, otherwise even gentle fingercombing stretches and breaks my fine hair.  This makes the detangling very difficult, as it usually gets very tangled in the shower nop matter how careful I am with it.  Tonight, after I got to my room, my comb could glid from my roots to tips with no tugging

Then I came straight here, and in the time it has taken to type this my hair is drying.  If I wanted, I could plait it to go out. Normally I can't go out for at least two hours after I wash my hair.

It feels very soft, smooth, and, well, not dry.  It may be overcondisioned, and there may be really bad build up, but right now it feels fine.  Maybe I won't have to wait till tomorrow to see how it is.  But we shall see, its an experiment and the results will tell me something useful, no matter what.

it turned out wonderful, and the ends are great.  I'll see how it looks in a few weeks, after I've washed it a few times, and I'll watch closley for any ikyness or overconditioning or something

Watch for your ends getting "crunchy or stiff" feeling.  If they do, you should do a clarifying rinse to remove the buildup.

funnily enough, my ends were crunch andstiff BEFORE I did the conditioning, after they were soft.

But i haven't had much time to experiment, I've been sick recently and haven't washed my hair since.  But I'm getting better now, so I should think about washing it I suppose, yes?
Maybe tomorrow afternoon... or thursday
