Greetings too all!  Newbie here!
Apr 17th, 2005 at 2:36pm

Greetings,

I found this page while I was surfing. Well, after six years of working in a drugstore selling makeup and haircolor and seeing my hair go to pot I said the heck with it and wanted to grow out my hair.  I had not seen my normal hair color in all that time, so starting in December I stopped dying and blowdrying my hair (and ditched the job).  My short cut is growing out and is now past my shoulders.  My hair is meduim to light brown, a grey or two Undecided and I'm growing out black hair color Tongue which is by now a little less then half of the bulk.  My hair is wavy and curls easily.  My favorite hair products (of which have really helped the growing out process) are Dabur Amla hair oil and  Dabur herbal shampoos.  I love my boar bristel brushes and large wide tooth comb.  When I was little girl my mother let my hair grow down to my knees.  She would braid it for school every morning and sometime she would put it in rag rollers the night before and in the morning take them out and I would look like a princess Smiley  But with the coming of Dorothy Hamel off went my long tress, I think I cried for a month!  Many years and many teenage experiments later I grew it out again.  Then I got a spiral perm and oh I loved it!  I looked like a mermaid.  And so life went on and my hair got shorter but now I want to grow it long, get rid of the dye job and have nice long hair once again!  And I do say this is a excellent page and hope to get to know you all  Wink

Welcome aboard Lisabelle!
You are in the right place, we all grow out our hair being at various stages. Stick around and you will find comfort and support  but no scissors (well only for dusting and the occasional trimming)  Wink Cheesy

I want to tell you that I love Dabur Jasmine Hair Oil and I also use their Amla Hair Oil -although it's a bit strong smelling. Funny coincidence I put up a link, for another poster, for their products, only today!!! Have you tried their Jasmine Oil? The scent is divine!

Welcome Lisabelle!
Sounds like you have already learned many lessons about your hair and probably have many lessons to share.

I look forward to hearing more from you.   Cheesy

hello & welcome to the board!!! i never heard of that oil before! sounds nice. oh, and if you do want color but getting great hair in return instead of half destroyed: try herbal henna! i switched myself to it and am still entirely bluffed with it's staining & staying power.  8)
