It may sound stupid, but this has helped with all my pets.....I would tell them what is going to happen before it happens.  I would talk to my dog, bunny, ferrets, birds and say listen this is going to happen,it's ok cuz mom is right here and you'll be safe and it's just for alittle while.  Something like that.  You'd be surprised what telling them does so your bun is not caught off guard and is surprised.  See what happens and let me know Smiley

I will give it a try!  Grin

Dear Hair Diary,

Well my hair is doing okay, I have been using a differnet treatment before each wash. I really like the Amala oil but the mineral oil in it makes me worry.  I haven't been checking growth but will soon.  It such a differents since I chopped off three inches, hair is a lot more healthy. Grin

On other fronts I've been working on my poetry and reading more Japanese history  I post my Waka poetry on another board as well, mine you this is the nicest board in the WORLD! and I would rather post here then there!
Ah! we have some new wild life in our backyard!  We now have a duck and drake nesting by the garage.  I call them George and Gracie.  I will try to get pictures of them today.  Wow, last year it was deer.  My neighbor has been putting out feed for the ducks and I have put out bread.  Gracie is very brave and runs up to me while George just watches.  I cannot wait to see there little babies!!!

Bye for now! Grin

Hee hee, duckies in your yard. They will go well with the little blue and orange eggs you have that are hatching in a couple weeks.  Cheesy Yeah for wild-life. They are so much fun to watch.

Dear Hair Diary,

I found I can do a chinese bun!  I used my my bekko stick and wrapped the hair around that.  Oh its so cute! Must have hubby take picture.

The neatest thing just happened.  I went outside to visit my friends dog Eddie, a 120lb St. Bernard puppy.  Eddie usually is very jumpy and wild in the morning but after I gave him his treat I asked him to help me to the yard.  I held his colar and he walked so slow and got me to a chair.  What a sweetheart!!  He has not been trained to do such things and his owner was amazed.  eddie got an extra doggie treat and lots of hugs. Regarding my back, I find the worst is stairs Embarrassed  I have one flight to my flat and two steps from the computer room to the kitchen.  Wish I lived downstairs....

Dear Hair Dairy,

Oh my... its 5:26 in the morning!  Between hubby snoring and the birds in the marsh calling there no sleep for me. Tongue  Yesterday I got a "Hair Lock"  hair toy w/video from the Salvation Army (great place to shop btw) and played with it in my hair.  I like it, it's light and easy to use.  Today I will be doing my heat cap treatment with coconut milk Grin  I love doing these.  I do them once a month.  Got a bonzai tree from hubby lastnight.  It's a little juniper and so cute!  Hubbies had them before and I have had a few as well.  There very hard to keep alive for long, but now I have more time to work on it. I use to get mine in Manhatten from a little shop devoted to Bonzai.  The owner, Takata San (Mr. Takata) was a real hoot!  He must have been 80 years old and had more energy then I did at 21!

bye for now..yawn (oh, sorry)

I have a funny feeling that I remember the store.  When I used to work all over NYC and remember seeing a store solely (I think) devoted to Bonsai trees.  Is that the one??

I worked there from 1985 to 1989. Yes it is a small world!  I use to live on 16th street at the Salvation Army Ladies Resedence.  Man, that was years ago.  I have fond memories of Colin visiting me in New York, he lived on Long Island at the time on a student visa.  He proposed to me just arcoss from my place, one his knees!  ...  Ah happy times!  Grin Grin Grin
