Dear Hair Diary,

My hair was acting really strange, it always does before that time of the month.  I put in amala oil and left it in all day as I was really busy with work.  My hair loved it and came out so soft.  Talk abou that time of the month (sigh) I always feel really yucky and sleep too much, can't wait for it to be over! I've been wearing a chinese bun lately.  I got a lot of complments on how cute it is. Smiley

Well I hope the reno on my old flat is over soon, my landlord it taking his sweet time and I hate the flat where in now.  It's dark and we live over two twits who slam doors and have smelly habits. Can't wait for it to be over!

bye for now Wink

If the bunny doesn't mind;insense works wonders on those "smelly habits".  Maybe you could light it away from the bunny in another room.  I light mine in the kitchen  away from the birds in my living room.  No harm to them or the dog. Smiley

Curlgirl, Grin

I do use incense away from the animals, but I need something stronger.  Fabreeze is dangerous to birds so that's out.  Mind you, I have some really strong incense from India.  It comes in a coiled black rope and is still moist.  I wish I could find it!  A little peice lasts hours! And I swear, it would cover the scent of death! Tongue

Are you kidding?  Let me know if you find it!!  I can't stand the cigarette smoke smell from next door!!!  I close all the windows and pray that whatever they are smoking from China is discontinued!!!  When I meditate I usually burn incense from India depending on my mood.  The Amber or Nag Champa lasts a long time, but sometimes when I practice my yoga I need lavender or something lighter.
In your case you really need something that will eliminate that horrid stench!  I do keep the incense far from the pets and have no problems, thank god!
Let me know if you solve the problem!!

Dear Hair Diary,

I've been so busy with my e-bay business!  I need a break! LOL!
I had no idea it would take off like it did and I'm very greatfull as we really need the money.

I have changed from Jason Bioton shampoo and condish to the Natural Sea Kelp set.  The bioton one was giving me a reaction behind my ears, plus the smell was bugging me.  The Natural Sea kelp has more moisture! I'am going to try it today.

Re: Stinky neighbors

I haven't found the incense I was looking for (darn)!  However, I got out some charcoal and put in some "church" blend and that helped for now.  If all else fails, I will go to the east indian supermarket and get more of the strong stuff.

Re: Reno

The drywall arrived yesterday at 4.  It been over a month now that my landlord has been messing around and taking his sweet time with our flat. &*^%!  I gather it will be yet another month...grrrr! I wish I could call Mike Holmes of Holmes on Homes to help out!

Bye for now

Heya Lisabelle,  Smiley

I don't know if it's within your budget or not, but have you considered getting an air purifier? I suppose that a small, cheap one is better than nothing at all.

Incense is nice, but it's temporary, and masking the "smell" won't help much when the toxins are still harming your lungs.

Air purifiers won't irritate your pets either. It's not a "miracle cure" or anything, but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

Neat idea!  Say, I have one!  Cool it just needs a part and it will be working! Thanks!

Be prepared though I have one that runs 24/7 because I have 5 birds and the electric bill is crazy high.  I have to change the filter every month instead of every 3 months though because of the feather dust.  You will probably do alot better though.

No problem, Lisabelle.  Wink

Another trick that works is to run a fan in an open window, facing backwards so the stench will be blown right back out at the miserable freaks who caused it.  Grin

Unfortunately, I have more experience than I'd like dealing with neighbours who like to smoke up half of Peru.  Tongue

I like your little toaster that hatched!  LOL  I did one of those several months back and got a loaf of bread or something.  It was not cute at all. Not like that toaster!

I agree with getting an air filter.  A HEPA works best for cigarette smoke (vs. Ionic Breeze or something like that) but costs more than an ionic one unfortunately.  But they really do work - I used to smoke over 10 years ago when I was young and stupid.  Having a HEPA kept the apartment from being stinky.

I feel your pain.  I don't smoke anymore, and the smell of second hand smokes really gets to me.  My next door neighbors smoked, and it used to seep in through the holes in the medicine cabinet.  Luckily they moved out last month.  Cheesy

The tenant that is attached to my house is a smoker along with his son and my hallway and linen closet stink!  EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!  I smoked when I was younger too and hate the smell of it now!  This guy is asking for trouble though,he had prostate cancer and he is still smoking!!!!! Roll Eyes Shocked  Some never learn.......  I think those volcanic pouches are supposed to be pretty good too;for places that a hepa won't fit into like a linen closet.

Angel, Cynde, Curlgirl, Thanks! Smiley

You know what the smell is?  It's a combo, cigarettes, beer, nasty cooking smells (which include:  old moose meat and inproperly cooked curry spices) unwashed bed sheets and underwear. Worst then any dorm room I have ever smelled! We refer to it as " the bog of Eternal stench"  ... He hasen't been cooking alot lately so it has helped some. I've got the fan in the window and hopefully can get the part for the air filter.

Dear Hair Diary,

Hee!  I tryed the Sea Kelp shampoo and Condish by Jason and I love it!  It's a lot more mostiuring and have a UV filter in it.  I use to use a sea kelp condish by Swiss Vitamins and my hair liked that, just the price for a little bottle was as much as a big bottle of Jason.

Hopefully I'll get to see Superman Returns tomorrow.  I am a real Sups freak! The new guy, Brandon Routh is gorgeous!!...  Mine you, not as big and tall as Chris Reeve (god rest his soul).

bye for now!
