Dear Hair Diary,

I found some funny hair books from the 80's at the library. Most styles are full of hairspary but other, for long hair, are pretty neat.  I've got my hair all twisted up right now and will take it out later.

Oh man....Hubbies aunt in England died yesterday.  She has cancer and there operated, it was intestinal cancer and quite painful.  Well, now she out of pain and with her hubby who died three years ago.  Hubbies Mum is really sad and so is my hubby.  I don't know what to say at these times.  I asured hubby that Aunt Dorothy is happier now that she's with Uncle Norman, and I gave him lots of hugs.  I hate seeing him cry but he bucked up. Oh dear, Mum's x-mass is going to be ruined.  I will try my best to cheer her up.  I'm not her favoriate person but I hate to see her be sad..

Until next time. Undecided

I'm sorry about your husbands aunt Lisabelle.  It can be difficult knowing what to say when someone is mourning, but I'm sure your husband takes comfort in your words and the hugs. Smiley

Loss of a family member is always tough, but when it happens around the holidays, it is even more difficult.

If you can remember and share a happy experience or story about her, that might help "ease the pain" and show you care.

Thank you ladies.  We will try our best to make Mum feel better.  I've never met Aunt Dorothy but I do know some stories about her, some realy funny ones too.  I always tell a funny story about my Dad when I miss him.

Dear Hair Dairy,

X-mass was all right.  It was a lot better then it was last year.
No fighting or anything like that just the usual heart burn inducing dinner!

For my holiday hairdo I washed my hair on Saturday night, combed it out and put Aloe Vera gel mixed with a little Jojoba oil and then twist it up in sections making nice long romance curls, covered it in my sleep cap. In the morning I let it down, finger combed then just twisted back the front.   The Aloe really makes it so soft! We got some neat presents: Mum got me my Yardley English Lavender bath set! (Yes!)  Hubby got me two Japanese antiques: an incense burner and a tea ceremony tea caddy. I also got a neat sparkly hippie handbag from my other SIL that my bunny really liked! I caught him licking and chewing it last night (he must have a handbag fetish!)
I gave hubby his car fender covers and the Mike Holmes book: “Build it Right”.  Plus we got so many chocolates were set till Valentines Day!

We were so pooped when we got home that it took a lot of willpower to get my hair ready for bed!  Yesterday we lazed around a bit and did some house work. I practiced some hair taping while watching Star trek movies on TV.

Bye for now!

Dear  Hair Diary,

My ends have been so dry lately! Embarrassed I was do for my heat cap treatment and really poured on the Ojon and shea butter.  Then sat under my cap for an hour.  That really helped but I think I need to get that humidfty straight away.  I cannot breathe at night and I'm so itchy!

I've been working on a crochet snood without a pattern.  I'm just eyeing it as I cannot find a good pattern anywhere.  Thing is I need help!  You can see where I go to the next row so I'am doing something wrong.  Maybe I should turn the work at the end of each row?  I stink at crocheting with thread. Cry

I had linguine and tuna lastnight and man did my stomach freak!  I feel a little better now but did not get to bed till very late.  I hate stomach aches Cry

Anyway, its new years eve and my 18th wedding anniversary!  Time flys!

Bye for now and

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND WISHING YOU ALL GREAT HAIR GROWTH AND HEALTH!

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary!

About the snood, have you ever tried modifying a doily pattern to make one?  Just a thought.

A Happy New Year to you.

Dear Hair Diary,

Heheh!  I made the snood and am working on another one!  I just figured out how to get the elastic on and I made a scrunhie too!  My hair kept falling out of the sides of the snood so I had to put it in a half pony tail and then use hair pins to hold it on.  I use the old fashion types, like the nuns used to hold there wipples in place.  I noticed that at 'Micheals" ( our craft store in Canada)  that they don't have a great veraity of colors when it comes to crochet thread.  Sad  I gather I would have to order on line or go out to Mary Maxium in London, ONT.  Oh I just remembered!  There's a craft show this month at the CN tower!  I ususally go with my friend Steven who is an avid needleworker, he does weaving and beading and some crochet as well.  Last time we went he helped me pay for a Japanese Bunka kit, of which I have done and framed.  Bunka is a needle work with elastic thread and a very sharp needle.  Its like punch embordery.

Our car has died... My poor hubby is downstair working on it. It died on Monday.  It's a wiriing problem. (nuts)!!  I took a push cart and went food shopping lastnight.  The supermarket is about 20 blocks away, plus going over a bridge.  Wow what a workout! Shocked half way home the bags began to split open! I lost the mayo on the highway Grin Thankfully it was in a plastic container! And a can of soup tryed to get away twice! Grin Grin.  It was fun really, god knows I had the neigbors laughing up a storm. Roll Eyes

Bye for now! Grin

Dear Hair Diary,

I've been enjoying wearing my snoods and now I think I will try a bun cover.  I got the BPAL Imps I won on ebay.  There alright, some smell really strange.  Well the car is still dead. Sad  Today we are going to get Mum's car so we can get around.  My poor hubbies been going crazy trying to fix the car.  It needs a mechanic - really bad.
Lastnight I put in Ojon as a overnight treatment and will wash out later tonight.

bye for now.
