Dear Hair Diary,

I must stop watching make over shows.  I get so annoyed when the women whoes getting maked over has to have her long hair cut.  One time people made fun of the women and called her a out dated Rapunzel. She had tailbone lenght blonde hair of  which they chopped and dyed!  Grrr!!!  (sorry for the rant) Tongue

The other night was nuts!  We had, what I believe to be, a screech owl in the backyard.  It sounded worst then when cats howl.  It was sinister and lasted about 20 mins. ...I'm at the stove cooking dinner and thought what the hell is that?  If my bunny could turn white he would have done, poor baby.  I went outside, it was -7 out there..., to take a look. It was dark but I made out a big bird in the trees.  Lately there been alot of mouse corpes found around the yard and walk but I think that was done by a cat.  Still I hope that Owl doesn't come back anytime soon. It was horrable!

I'm still working away at finding more snood type patterns.  I would like to make one that looks more like a net.

Anyway by for now!

I was watching Oprah the other day and they were giving "make overs" and they did the same thing!  They took about maybe 5 girls all with very long hair and cut it shoulder length and shorter. Shocked  I was wondering why are they doing this?  I don't understand why a make over always means cutting hair.  They had a stylist on who mentioned that hair should be trimmed every 6 weeks. I had to turn the channel, I simply couldn't get over what they'd done to all of that beautiful hair.

Hope your owl doesn't return and good luck with your snood. Smiley

Dear Hair Diary,

I washed yesterday after a all night deep CO of Ojon.  I then made pin curls and let it dry. I looked like Mrs. Tiggly-Winkle, the hedgehog, from Peter Rabbit whose quills would stick out of her bonnet on her head!  I found it gives my fine hair more body.  wasn't feeling good yesterday, my hip was driving me nuts and is still giving me a sting now.  I did some Yoga to and it did help (thank gods)

We we finally got winter here.  We got snow, ice and cold!  All in the minus....

Anyway I'm off to scrap the ice off the car.  We have to get Mum from the airport tonight.  Hubbies back to work now.... which mean no more socks on the floor or spilled coffee everywhere....

Cheers!...

Dear Hiar Diary,

It's been really cold up here!  We all look like the Michelin man when I go out! Grin   I notice since my last wash on Sunday that my scalp is very dry.  I've ben oiling twice a day wth jojoba oil and it hasn't worked as well as I thought.  Today I put in some Ojon and see if that works.  My hair has been drinking up everything I put in it. If the Ojon doesn't work its off to Emu oil.

Bye for now!...

Yep, the temps are finally normal winter temps around here too. The colder it gets, the less moisture there is in the air and everything dries out.  Running a humidifer in your house helps a lot!

Old man winter is here! and he's late (like most men)! Grin I think I should move the humidifer into the living room during the day.  I think that would help as I only have it in the bedroom. The Ojon did help by the way. Cool

Dear Hair Diary,

I found some more bun patterns.  Here's one i just made:

...

My hair is till hasn't gone greasy and is holding curls!  I haven't washed yet maybe on the weekend.  I'm worried about build up and have been using my nails to remove any gunk.  Lastnight I had the humidify up to high and it was really damp!  ewww!  I found this funky/goth like craft page lastnight http://www.theanticraft.com/archive.htm There some neat stuff  and strange to make.

bye for now!

Dear Hair Diary,

I did a CO wash yesterday, I ususally do not do these much as I get really greasy from them but not this time.  Now I know it's really a very dry winter.  I think I will up my dose of cod liver oil tablets to one a day intsead of one every other day.  what I would love is to get some Nutracap hair vitamins but there very expsenve. (sp)

I just got back from the library.  Man it cold! I was all bundled upand saw people walking around without hats and thin coats!  These people are nutz!  Its -6 c out there.  Brrrrrr!   I had my head really wrapped up and my hair was hidden under a snood, a hat and a hat scarf plus hood.  My sunglasses felt like they were freezing to my face! All that besides the artic parker and pants. Now I'm all warmed up with a cup of tea and a bunny on my lap. Smiley

byr for now!

Dear Hair Diary,

I washed on tuesday and will do my heat treatment cap with coconut milk tomorrow.  Wow, my hair is really not getting greasy like it use to.  I chalk that up to be -12 and up all week.  ...

Hubbies been working so much I don't get alot of time with him.  He's working tonight putting down a new floor in the area court house. I'm going to crochet some buncovers and make funnel cakes! ...

Oh I did finish that 1948 snood from the pattern I bought on the web.  No pic's yet but it has a neat texture and looks great! I used wool as I had trouble handling thread with 8mm knitting neadles.  The thread was #10  I think I should have used something thicker.

Oh god!  I had a spaz lastnight.  I found a big hairy millipead on the floor and had to call my neighbor to kill it.  Any other bug and I'm fine, even spiders but not this sucker!  I was so freaked I could not work my cordless phone!  He killed it, after five horrid minutes of thinking how... Oh man if Colin was home he would have squished it and been done with it.  Eeeeeeek!!!

bye for now!...
