Secret Santa Present!

I got my Secret Santa present yesterday and my Secret Santa was Galadriel! Wow, I can't believe how fast the package got here from overseas.

The present was wrapped in tissue with cute little puffy snowflake stickers on it:

Inside was a light pink crocheted and beaded scrunchie, and a really cute butterfly pin!

The scrunchie matches the boa I made perfectly. And the pin has a really sturdy clip - so I decided to try it on my birthday-shawl, as a brooch. Perfect again! After I got my shawl in October, I've been looking for a clip to hold it. Galadriel, you must be psychic!

Thank you, Galadriel!! My new toys put a big smile on my face, and I can't wait to wear them out and about.

Your hair is really thick- for me a scrunchie of that size is good only around a bun, and here you're showing it in a half up! The pattern is really simple- you can copy it from the scrunchie easily if you want more of them.

Thanks so much for your gift! I love it! I've been looking without success for more velvet scrunchies ever since I found my first one. The colors you picked are all so beautiful. The crocheted bun cover is so pretty and probably just the thing I need for bunning right now. And the bookmark is just too cool. Even the ring fit me perfectly Shocked

Missed Zhang Ziyi

I just saw a snippet of what would be on tonight's local news. Apparently, there was a special benefits screening of "Memoirs of a Geisha" for the SB International Film Festival. It turns out that Rob Marshall (director) AND the cast were there! And they showed Zhang Ziyi. OMG, that theater is 6 blocks from my house! I could've seen her in person.

Ah well, it made me feel better when I looked up the website and found out it was $275 to attend the screening. I think that get's you into some gala afterwards though. Nevertheless, I wouldn't have paid that.

Ganglion Cyst

Anyone have one? I think I have on on the inside of my wrist. I discovered it a few days ago. It's a hard bump, about the size of a peanut, and doesn't move around when you press on it. I need to get it checked to see if that's really what it is. I hear they are usually harmless, and only need to be removed if it becomes a nuisance.

KuchenMeister rum cake

These are yummy pre-packaged cakes from Germany. I ate one all by myself over the last three days. I feel like such a piggy.

Hair measuring woes

Grr.. Last month it seemed that my hair grew a whole inch since the last check. I didn't believe that, and finally had my boyfriend check. Now this month, we both checked it, and it seems one inch shorter! My ends must be getting jagged, which means time for a trim.

Anyway, I found a chunk of hair which seems to reflect the half inch growth (I know it's really half inch because I have roots from my coloring that I got at the beginning of November.)

I'm going to change the way I measure in the "Measure Up" thread. I used to try to measure my layers, but that's proving difficult. So I'm just going to measure the overall length.

Wow, I would have gotten into that theatre somehow!! Dress up in a suit, black sunglasses put a wire in my ear and say I'm with security! Grin

Ganglion Cyst: I had a friend who had these all over her body. Doctor said there was nothing she could do. She had a few big ones removed and all. Don't know much else, sorry ???

Your not the only little piggy, I ate a bag of ginger cookies last night, so much for the diet! Roll Eyes
