Thanks!!  I'm still debating on my long overdue trim.  2", 2.5" or 3".  I have a lot of dry ends that seem to be on the last 2 -3 inches of my hair.  It's hard to tell with the layers.  I just need to go get it done.

Your hair shows the loving care you give it.  Gorgeous!

Glad the aloe vera tip is working for you.  I find that stuff to essential to have along.  It is great on sun burn, skin rash, smooths the hair, keeps braids looking great!  The miracle product!

AND, as you recently pointed out in another thread, it helps set curls too!  Aloe Vera - the Wonder Gel.

Novusfemina, you just gave me an idea.  Hair of the Month club!  We can try each others hair for a month and then send them to the next person on a rotation.  Hahah if only we could!

Aww shucks... /blush  Thanks to all of you, really!!

Officially Switching to Camellia Oil

Lessee, this is an official change to my routine.  When I tried Camellia oil before, it made my ends "crunchy".  Lately, shea butter hasn't been cutting it and my ends have felt really dry.  This made it prone to tangling, even if I finger-raked it.

When I got my microfiber turban, I wondered if oil would work better on my hair when it's left covered.  So that's what I've been doing - I'd apply about 4 drops to the ends of my hair after a wash.  Wrap up in the turban and left to simmer.  After removing the turban, my ends felt soft but thin.  I don't mind the thinning as much, as I'm sure that's how they are suppose to be.  I am going to get them cut soon.  But what I like is that I can run my fingers through my hair again with the ends getting stuck in a tangle.

I got my oil from this site - I am using their free sample.  It's a 10 ml bottle which seems to go a long way!

PS - the pic in my avatar is me with dry ends.  See how they stick together in clumps at the very bottom?  When my ends are soft, the bottom is even.

Bun Covers officially out the door!

As some of you know, I was planning on making and selling bun covers, but my project was put on hold for other things.  But last week, my co-worker asked me if she could buy a bunch for her church bizarre.  I've had 8 already made, and sitting in my crochet bag for 6+ months.  So I made two more, packed them up, and I'm giving them to her tomorrow.  Here are some pics:

Those are great bun covers (and beautifully packaged too!).  I've made scrunchies for our church bazzare, which are always done well.  Surprisingly, my best sellers were the mini scrunchies I made for the ends of my braids.  They work well for small kids with thin hair!

I'm sure you'll do well selling your bun covers.
