Dove and Garnier Fructis

Hi, I am new user and had a question about my regular haircare products. In general I use Dove Intense Moisture shampoo and conditioner. Often, after a shower when my hair is wet/damp I apply Garnier Fructis Long & Strong leave-in or Dove Smooth and Soft styling cream. To clarify, which I usually never do I use Suave for men 2-1. Very rarely I Biosilk Silk therepy (major alcohol) or Frizz Ease. Has anyone used my products, what were your thoughts? I guess my main concern is with Cones in my products. Are they okay. Still new to all of this and not sure. I do know however when I pile the Long & Strong leav-in on or reapply to much is feels rough at the ends. I try to use more moderation now.

Some peoples hair love cones, others hate it.  So it will probably take some experimentation to find out what is best for your hair.  If you decide to stick with cones, make sure to clarify with a vinegar rinse on a regular basis--probably once a week.

Its been ages since I used cones and I think that they are what prevented me from growing long hair when I was younger (didn't have nearly all this wonderful info to help me out either).  But it might take a while to adjust to what your hair is like without cones, so give it a couple weeks before you decide yes or no.

I agree with Valerie.  Some hair LOVE cones, some does not.  If your hair looks and feels best using products that have cones, then go ahead and use them.  Clarifying is highly recommended.

I'd also be careful on what combinations of conditioners and leave-ins you use.  Some will not interact well and leave your hair feeling very sticky.
