I wanted to ask you all what kind of combs to you use and for what and for when. I'm looking into putting some money into getting a new, quality comb. The one I have now has seams.

The comb I use the most is a wooden one from the Body Shop.  It has wide teeth and I've had it for many years.  I think they run around $10. 

I've started finger combing my conditioner in, so I'm not using the plastic combs much at all.

I have 3 horn combs, 2 of which are specifically for scritching.  I am not currently using them often.  I think I paid around $25 each for these combs.

I think my wavy hair prefers wood or fingers.  I also have a plastic rattail comb, haven't been using that one much either.

My favorite comb is wooden comb I bought from Body Shop years ago. I also have a de Renauding horn comb, a wide toothed seamless celluloid comb and a plastic wide toothed tail comb (from Sakina ) that can be used to comb wet hair. Usually, I use whatever comb happens to be at hand unless my hair is damp.

Ack! Seams! Noooooo!!! 

I have and use 3 combs: my Rachael Stephens #45 (an extra wide tooth comb) for detangling wet hair. My new Conair extra wide tooth comb that looks strikingly similar to my RS #45 (but is made from acrylic rather than cellulose)....I use this one on my hair when it's dry. Especially before showering.
And my Rachael Stephens #32 (a coarse tooth handle comb), which I use just on the ends of my hair after spraying my oil mix into them.

Seamless combs are definitely a worthwhile investment!!!
