LL Collections envy....
Jun 30th, 2006 at 2:50pm

Ok - now that some of the superstars of the LL Collections are getting their collections posted, do any of you suffer LL stick envy?  I look thru the pictures and remember many of them.  I also remember seeing "Sold" on them and wishing I had seen them earlier.

In any case, I love to see everyone's collections and know that those beautiful hairsticks went to deserving long hair people!  Cheesy

Everyone has such great collections!  Congratulations to you all!  I did the same thing BB - I was going through the sticks and would recognize one and think "so THAT'S where that stick went!"  lol

So how does the collection area work  - I noticed that they were all posted by Salon Administrator.  So do we send a list to you?  Or make our own thread?  Should the pics be the original pics or ones that we've taken ourselves?  I don't mind either way - I understand wanting to have a consistent look and feel.  I just don't know what the guidelines are if any.

Sorry if that info has been posted already - just point me in the right direction and I'll go read it.  Wink

You read up on the specifics in the Read Me file in the board.

In a nutshell - If you want the original pics of the sticks, send me a list of the names of your sticks and when I have a bunch of them, I send them on to Susan to post.  If you are not sure of the names of your sticks, include in your PM to me the name that was used to order the sticks and Susan can use her order history to find your sticks for you!

Hmm, I had read the Read Me, but still wasn't sure.  To be specific, say in my case - I don't have the original pics from the LL site, but I have pics that I took myself for my personal gallery.  Is having the original pic mandatory or other pics okay?  And if the original pic is not mandatory, then can I post in that forum or does Salon Administrator have to do it?

Thanks!  Sorry if I'm being nitpicky.  I don't want to post something and then have people think "why'd she do it that way!"  Smiley

Hi Khrome!
If you can make a list of the stix you have and send it to BB she can then forward it on to Susan who can pull all the pics up and post them Smiley

Actually, until BB gets back, you can PM then to Curlgirl64 if you don't want to wait that long.  I'm sure she'll forward the lists to me ;)

BB, I hope it makes you feel better to know that I have a serious hairstick envy for a couple of pairs in your collection. Smiley

Everyone has such beautiful collections. I've enjoyed viewing them.  Grin

Gotcha!   Thanks for clarifying!

I'm finding that the Collections gallery is a great resource!  I'm starting to jot down ones that I might want custom-made.  :D

I think that's part of the point of the whole excercise, hahahahaha ;)

Btw BB I'll have you know that there's a couple of pairs in your collection that I'm head over heels in love with! I remember having a tantrum seeing them already "sold" Hahahahahaha :D:D:D  ::)

And of course there's sooo many of the sticks I "missed" in Sakina's collection and at least that awesome first pair of Galadriel's that pink gossamer one and the awesome blue glitter...
<sigh> ;D ;D

I love your collections ladies, all of them, the already big ones and the budding ones too  :-*  :-*
I also enjoy trying to get a "glimpse" into the particular lady's character through her collection. Like others will get into mine...

Isn't it great to see those sticks you wanted for yourselves go to someone that you KNOW will really appreciate them?

Got a question for those of you who have started Collections here.  Do you  want others to be able to comment on your sticks in the collections, or would you rather the comments be kept in a separate thread suck as this?  I will just remind people, that the photos in the collections can take a long time to load for those who do not have high speed connections. which would make comments within the collections hard for some people to keep up with.  But having the comments in the collections can be easy to make at the time you view them.  Just wondering what you think.
