Ever wonder what the LongLocks website was showing back in 2001?  Just for fun, let's jump on the WayBack machine and take a look:

LongLocks 2001

[NOTE: although this looks like a functioning web page, you CANNOT order any sticks that may appear to be available for purchase.]

Thanks, BB.  I didn't find LL until 2005, I used to wonder about previous styles that are no longer available.  I wish I could purchase the color combs and the Zen sticks!

It brings to mind the Dr. Seuss book "Oh the places you'll go".  LL has come a long way and grown so much!  All the resources, and the BBS.  Was the BBS around back then?

I think the most amazing development is the sense of community.  I used to work for a dot com in the 90's prior to web-based BBS's.  We were trying to bring community to the web.  The company succeeded in a small extent - they wrote CommunityWare and later Jabber, but never really took off like smaller boards did.  I think the problem wasn't in the software, it's in having a common interest!  You can't have a community without something talk about.  Anyhoo, a little bit of an observation there.  Wink

OHMIGAWD!!!  What are you doing to me??  Now I am getting requests for ZenStix, and do you know the work I have to go through to make those things into high quality sticks?? Oh, the SANDING and SANDING!!  That's why I decided not to release 'em to begin with :P

I think you'd better get your butt over here BB, grab a dremel and get to work, LOL!  My hubby just dragged out the drawer of unfinished ZenStix for you, time's a wastin'!

Too funny!  :D

ZenStix??? What are these curious things?  I cannot load the page, says it's having some technical difficulties.  But back to the ZenStix...now *these* sound right up my alley.

Poor Susan.

Sorry Susan - but I did put my disclaimer on the link that you can't order from the pages.

I don't think you'd like the quality of the work I would do with the dremel...you'd have toothpicks instead of hairsticks.  Grin

Can they be made with Bill Grout's ribbon beads?  Tongue Grin
