Hello from Sunny Florida!
Aug 22nd, 2006 at 12:23am

Hi everyone, I'm a new member here, obviously, but not new to the boards.  I've been skulking around on and off since December, reading posts and looking at all the lovely posted pictures of everyone's hair.

What finally goaded me into joining was this evening's purchase of my very first Longlocks hairstick.  So here I am!  Smiley

About my hair:

I haven't measured, but it's roughly two inches above my shoulders.  I won't even be able to wear my hairstick when it arrives. Roll Eyes

My color is very dark brown with some auburn highlights at the front.

It is straight with a bit of curl-under at the ends.  Aside from some medium width strands, it is fine.  It's also thin.

Right now I'm using Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner, but the line which has just been replaced, not the newer one.  I'm not sure yet if I'll try that.  I was happy with Garnier, so I may return when I run out of what I am using.

My current favorite hair toys are a trio of pretty woven headbands which I alternate day to day, and a little hair band to keep my thin little strands from tickling my cheeks every second of the day. Roll Eyes

Thank for having me, I'm glad to be here.  I can't wait for my hairstick to arrive so I can look at it until my hair is long enough for it.

WELCOME!!

so glad you de-lurked and introduced yourself.  It sounds like you have lovely hair that will show off the LL hairsticks beautifully when the time comes.

But...... you forgot an important piece of information - what hairsticks did you buy????  We must know!  Grin  Welcome to the LL hairstick club as well as the message boards!

I bought the Damask IndividualiStix.

It's pale pink and very pretty.  I saw it last night and fell in love, then fretted all day that by the time my hair will be long enough for it, it would surely have been snatched up by someone else. Sad

So on my way home from work today, I decided that I could just go ahead and get it, and simply admire it for a few months. Wink

Smart decision.  Susan's sticks typically are sold fairly quickly.  Many of us have missed our opportunity to purchase a pair of sticks here.  But it is always nice to know who aquired them and know they went to someone who truely appreciates the beauty and craft of these hairsticks.

Go ahead and admire your sticks when they come - they are a work of art and when your hair is long enough, you can enjoy them in a new way!

Hehehehe, yeah, like BB said, most of us like to know that Susan's hairsticks are going to a good home..

We're like worrisome workers at the pet adoption place.. we want to make sure you'll take care of the beauties (sticks)  Grin

Greetings and welcome, Grrbanzo.

I know your frustrations about not having long/thick enough hair to wear hairstix. But at least you have some!  Wink

Glad to have you along for the ride. Best of luck and happy growing.
