Oldy but goody here
Aug 25th, 2006 at 1:31pm

Hi, I'm oldkathy.  I am officially a member and a Longlocks addict now.  I am also over at LHC.  My hair is 31 inches long, chestnut brown with lots of silver, wavy, very fine.  I use VO5 products to condition only wash.

I am in lots of trouble with my DH since I just purchased two special editions of beautiful hairsticks.  I also collect antique hair combs.  I try to wear something beautiful in my hair every day.

I love to hike and have done nearly 1/2 of the Appalachian Trail.  (the 2176 mile trail through the Appalachian Mts from GA to ME)  I attempted a thru-hike (the whole thing) in 2005, but couldn't be away from my ailing DH that long.  I have three grown children and six grandchildren.

Welcome!  Glad you decided to join us.

How long did it take to hike the 1/2?  Hiking is very popular out here in Arizona.

I hope hubby is feeling better!

Welcome to the boards, and welcome to the LongLocks HairSticks Addicts Club.  Grin

Good for you for your hiking.  I used to do a lot of hiking and loved it.  I had always wanted to hike the Appalachian Trail, but never got out that way to do it.  Now I find bicycling is more in tune with my body's abilities.

Let me know if you'd like to start a Collections folder to show off your hairsticks here!

Greetings and welcome aboard!  Smiley

Are you able to post pix? I'm sure that everyone here would love to see some of the antique combs that you collect...and your hair and hairstix too, of course.  Grin

Happy growing!

Just posted a photo of my infinity bun.  Of course, I realized that the stick is just a junk stick, before I discovered Longlocks hairsticks.  When my new stix come, I'll have to update my photo!  Also, I'll try to do a photo of my comb collection soon.  I'm not so good at this....  can anyone tell me how to put a photo in here?  When I tried, it just printed the code out....

Hi oldkathy, and welcome!!

Don't worry, just tell DH that because you are so considerate and frugal, you opted not to buy the 2 carat diamond hairsticks!!

I like to hike too.  My favorite place for hiking is Isle Royale.  I haven't done the Appalachian trail yet.
