! This seems like a very friendly long hair lovin' community. Here is some of my backstory so you can get to know me! Grin

My name is Christine, I'm sixteen and trying to grow my hair out (currently I am shoulder length hope to be knee length or longer). I became interested in growing my hair out for about a year (my hair was chin length). I find long hair very romantic, feminine, and beautiful. I am a Highly Sensitive Person. Here is info on the personality trait for anyone who is interested learning about it. I'd love for you to read about it!

In the past I had my hair quite short, and was dressed "punk goth" then all I wore was padded shoulder business suites to feel tough. In our society sensitivity is looked down on and I wanted to pretend I was something I wasn't. In time have decided to embrace who I am (and who I want to be) and allow myself to feel pretty and feminine.

It can become a bleach looking blonde if I spend a lot (and I mean A LOT) of time in the sun, and in the winter it can look like a dark reddish blonde almost brunette color. Most of the time it is this shade of blonde (maybe a tad lighter):

I've found that my sensitivity is actually a great asset (of course, as long as I avoid getting sensory overload). It seems also that our hair color is a close match. This is a great place to learn hair growing tips and to stay entertained while your hair grows.
