Gawd, like my freezer wasn't full enough....Now I have to go freeze me extra shampoo bars...I think that soon I will just need a freezer for my hair stuff!!

7.5 cm.  ENVY.  I have never measured mine...I will do that right now...3 inches...dunno what that is in cms.  I am sure it is pretty skinny though.

No need to envy: 7.5 cm = 3 inches.  Smiley We seem to have exactly similar thickness. Speaking more generally, 3 in is about as average as can be- in Fia's hairtyping system it is middle of ii (normal) thickness range. Many people have hair thicker than that, many have thinner. We see so much thick, long hair because in our culture, people with thin hair are encouraged to keep their hair short. Roll Eyes
For me, this thickness is perfectly ok because my hair is so fine that it would take an INSANE amount of it to qualify for over 4 in/iii thickness. If I can make the taper from nape of my neck to waist just a little less dramatic, I'll be very happy. Every thickness has its pros and cons. With medium thickness, the hair isn't dramatic in any way, but the thickness doesn't pose any particular problems either.

About Babassu Marshmallow shampoo bar: my hair felt a bit strange this morning...can't describe it any better than that. It may be the shampoo bar, or the fact that I have rinsed my hair so often. Sometimes plain water rinses in between shampoo washes do that.
I always order a big envelope from Ida- that is seven or so bars. It's a good load but won't (luckily) last for ever because I have also washed DH to use them. He washes his hair every day, so we go through one soap shipment in a few months. I don't think they had the version with Olive oil the last time I ordered. Maybe I'll order a sample of it the next time I order.
BTW, I have not quite figured out, whether my hair likes CV shampoo bars with lots of moisture, nutrients or lighter products. I mean, I know what bars my hair likes and what it doesn't like that much, but there just doesn't seem to be a pattern...
Today, my weird hair is in a Ficcare bun and under my black mini snood. There, it can be as weird as it wishes and I can sail smoothly through the day.

Spirituality: I ordered a new tarot deck, Universal Waite. Just because it'd be nice to have more than one deck to work with. Well, in fact I own three decks already. But one is just a pretty deck that would be challenging even for a more experienced reader to interpret, and Classic deck...well, I can't connect with it at all. In fact, I'm thinking of giving it away...my friend has anyway a birthday coming soon...hmm
Otherwise, I haven't done much lately, except decorated my altar a little more. We have received a couple of gifts that I just adopted, like a pretty carved stone hare from my MIL. My summer display doesn't look minimalistic any longer! Yes, it is important- changing to fall display is still a month and a half away.

Hey there, you are quiet correct.  I found a conversion program and working it out after I finished posting here.  3' = 7.5 cm.   Roll Eyes  I didn't bother coming back on to tell how blonde I had been.   Roll Eyes.

My hair is extremely fine too.  Actually, to find out I am average instead of below average was a neat thing.  Thanks for getting me to notice!!!

Funny that you mention your hair feeling strange with the babbasu and marshmallow.  Shampoo before this one I used another shampoo bar and my hair felt and looked better.  Either it may have been the Nettle one or something else<I can't remember!! Roll Eyes  Either which way I don't think I'll order that one again.  I'll try a sample of the one with extra oil in it.  PS, does your bar feel grainy?  I rather have a smooth bar.

Oh, G, I love the Universal Waite deck. I have a rather substantial tarot deck collection.  I love to look at them all, but I have to say that I use the Universal deck the most.

Enjoy!!!

Sakina: I've heard so much good about Rider Waite, but I just hated the coloring of that deck and didn't think I'd like to work with it. Then I discovered Universal Waite- problem solved! I'm looking forward to trying a widely used deck- Enchanted Tarot is lovely in every way, but I can't help thinking that there must be a reason for why everyone seems to love Rider Waite and its many clones.
I actually tried to read Castelli's Art Nouveau tarot (the Pretty Deck) yesterday, and it seems that I've improved a little, because I did get an intelligible reading out of it. However, this deck is definitely "thin"- the artist has clearly focused in creating beautiful cards and there is very little symbology to work with, and what little there is is often very subtle. Can't imagine how anyone could get in-depth readings out of this deck. But they sure are beautiful cards to look at!

My hair is drying right now, after my second wash with Babassu & Marshmallow. This time, I noticed that my hair felt strange while shampooing. The shampoo didn't lather well, and my hair felt strange when I rinsed the shampoo out. ACV rinse helped a little, but even after cool water rinse my hair didn't feel as super smooth and silky as it usually does. We'll see how it feels once it is dry. But so far, B&M hasn't been very promising. Curlgirl: My B&M bar is also smooth.

Garden: I harvested some more chamomilles today, and they are in the dryer right now. Our garden is now at its greenest, as everything is ripening but few things are ready to eat yet. Looks promising, though!
I have spotted two new butterfly species, and that puts the species count to 11. Not bad- the average amount of species found in one summer at our region is 42, and of course, that includes lots of species that favor more natural habitats like forests.

Sorry for the typo,Galadriel.  My B&M shampoo bar is grainy.  I'd rather have a smooth bar.  That is what I meant to type!! Embarrassed  That's what I get for typing when I'm tired!! Roll Eyes  I don't think I'll be using that bar anymore,it's almost done anyway.  I'll use it for shaving though,it might be a good light exfoliate on my legs!!

Grainy? Well, that sounds strange for a shampoo bar!
Isn't it nice though that if something doesn't work as a shampoo, it's still good to use as a body bar?!

In spite of last night's ominous signs, I woke up today with perfectly ok hair. It's soft, it's shiny and does not behave weirdly in any way. Considering that it's first day hair, anyway. So I'm still unsure about the B&M bar. It's good that there's still plenty of it left.

Today, everything is weird.  TMI alert!
Hair feels greasy on the top of my head. Doesn't matter since I wear a bun anyway, but it's not usual. It should be starting to feel like this the day after tomorrow, not before.
I got a pang of blitz-nauseousness while shopping the day's groceries. A few bad menstrual cramps at veggie isle, sweat pouring out of every pore in my face by the cashier (oh joy), and hurry, hurry, hurry down the street and straight to the bathroom. Aunt Flo is in da house. And I.hate.my.body.today.
Every other month period is a breeze- no problems whatsoever, and usually, the easier they are, the worse is coming in the next month. Today has been worst in I don't know how long. I feel like a teenager again.

But Stargate Season 5 arrived, T is coming home earlier than usual and I can conquer the Laundry Mountain today because the weather is good enough to hang laundry outside where they take just a couple of hours to dry. We'll have a super great TV dinner: fresh hot home baked olive bread, Spanish salami, cheese and Ben&Jerry's ice cream for dessert.
Things will get better from here.
GG plugs didn't arrive. Since it seemed that I'm going to spend most of this day indoors, I decided to give myself a dose of Longlocks therapy, and changed my Ficcare bun to a bun with olivine green and gold FuturiStix. There is no such misery that wearing a pair of gorgeous hairsticks wouldn't diminish it considerably.

Better get on with my essay. I'm not feeling that great about it yet, but it needs to be finished. Which color of hairsticks would be good for boosting brain activity?

*Hugs*.  When I was younger, I used to have to worship the porcelain God the first day.  I think it was my body trying to reverse the muscles that were contracting to the point of a VERY bad mood and sweats.  Sorry you had such a rough time.

Thanks for support. Today is a better day. Smiley I have never quite understood the whole thing. Cramps? Ok, I suppose they serve some biological purpose. But dizziness? Inability to keep your breakfast in? Light-speed trips to jungles of Congo? Roll Eyes Call me stupid, but I have never understood what greater purpose do they serve...

But, as I said, today is a much better day. And my much-anticipated, gorgeous Gorilla Glass plugs arrived! They are solid color (not just colorfront), which makes them very interesting looking, especially when worn. The flares look lighter than the center, except when they are on and light shines through and they become absolutely gorgeous.  Cool Colors (honey and purple) are very pretty and the size is perfect- they are a bit shorter than my GWS 2nd quality plugs. And did I mention that they look really cool and special on me?! Cheesy I have to have these in more colors! I'm beginning to understand better why some people choose the plug route.

Hair: Rinsed last night, today it feels still greasy, but a little less so. Maybe I can wash it in normal schedule after all. Hairstyle of the day is a knot bun with Tiger Eye ficcare.

And...I think this may be the first time this year: ROUTINE UPDATE!

Wash: CV shampoo bars, ACV rinse
Conditioning: L'Oreal ElVital mask for long hair (cone free). In theory, Snowytreatments are still in my repertoire, in practice I haven't had time & patience for them.
Styling aids: Aloe vera gel, thin bun-sized hair nets, bobby pins, metal free elastics
Sleep hair: Curlgirl's Satin Sleep Sox when I remember, otherwise a simple ponytail seems best.
Daytime styles: Knot bun, either with Ficcare or Amish pins is the basic style. Sometimes cinnabuns or French braid based styles. Hair down is very, very, very rare.
Hairtoys: Large Ficcares. I've become boring- other hairtoys including hairsticks are worn very rarely.
Headcoverings: A must, if the backyard is full of apple trees. Mini snoods are my favorites, then come wide-brimmed straw hats and bandanas.

And now, I have some pictures of some of the nice things in my life!

...

My favorite place in the garden right now: my vegetable patch. I grow there vegetables, some herbs and flowers that are somehow beneficial to grow alongside the veggies.

...

Another view...and you still can't see it all well.
But it's just as cute as the picture suggests.

Then, my earrings

...

LittleSeven's Nine, size medium 10g

...

GorillaGlass solid color plug 10g (honey). It's hard to capture the gorgeousness into a photo- these earrings look like colored dewdrops when worn.

...

And, in hopes of not going totally OT, here is a picture of Cafe Society LL hairsticks, one of the pairs I received in my huge swap. I was looking for a brown pair, and looking for a FantasyStix pair...and here I have a brown FantasyStix pair. It'll be a perfect pair for the Fall...

News: We took some other pictures of my hair (and another pair of swapped sticks), and though those didn't turn out well, I was surprised how WAVY my hair looked. Well, it still looks a little wavy in the hairstick picture that made it to this show and tell, but it was maybe three times as wavy as that. Summer seems to be doing some interesting things to my hair!
It also seems that my ear stretching saga will continue. I decided, that I need to start stretching my left ear. Plugs look better when worn in matched pairs, and I realized that I have absolutely nothing against wearing a spiral in one ear and a tiny pretty glass plug in the other ear. So, I digged out my trusted circular barbells, and my left year is now enjoying a stretch to 16g. It's a bit tender, but otherwise well. I hope this will go a bit quicker than the other ear, so I could be done with stretching when I leave to Germany. But, that's up to the ear.

thanks for the pic!  Your garden pics put a smile on my face, too!  I love the hairsticks and your hair reminds me of light golden angel hair Smiley  Those stix are great in your hair, btw.  The spiral and the plug are really nice.  I'm hoping the left ear goes quicker in the stretching dept. than the right one,too Wink.
