Where does the time go???  It's Friday already and I'm no where near unpacked!! Embarrassed  I have managed to wash 8 loads of clothes though since last Friday! Grin  Things are shaping up though.  I did empty one box (out of maybe 20!)  Alittle at a time though!  It'll all work out.
My mother's house sold.  She went to closing yesterday and the guy is a real loser as far as I;m concerned.  He wanted a 2 hour wfinal inspection and walk-through.  He wasn't getting that.  It just is not done.  He wanted even more money taken off the final price.  He already made out like a bandit!  When he started puuling his nonsense at the closing,my mother said that's it she wasn't going to close and she would go into litigation.  The broker said let's just close this deal and she would take the loss out of her commission!!!  I heard this was a real winner of a closing.  Thank God I wasn't there,I would have put him in his place and reminded him that he had more to loose than to gain.  I don't even want to walk past the house anymore.
On the brighter side,my mother leaves this morning(6am) with my sister to go to her new home!  I didn't get a chance to see her before she left because she was seeing all the relatives.  I'll see her next month when she comes in for a family birthday party though.  It's surreal this whole moving thing....for me and knowing that she's in S.C. and not down the block anymore.  Oh well, life goes on!
On to hair news! C's got some great shampoos and conditioners.  I tried the Peter Coppola shampoo and conditioner and my hair curled nicely.  It's very soft though.  It wouldn't stay in a bun when I went to bed.
The Ojon line I had turned him onto a few months ago so it was nice to use that again.
All my shampoo bars are in the freezer so I'll eventually get to them!
Since it's 5:15am I'm going to call it a night!!  More later!

Good to hear from you, dear!  Sounds as if you're settling in nicely.  Don't wear yourself out with all of the rearranging and moving stuff!   Wink

Thanks,Trisha!  I'm trying to take it slow and easy, but when you see these boxes you can't help but say,"Oh,I'll just unpack one box......."  Never ends there!  Then I see something else that can go somewhere else!!!
All in all I think I'm settling in really nicely.  C has been nothing short of a God Send!  He's really been great though all of this!  Even as we unpack everything he wants to set a wedding date!  I think when I catch my breath we'll be visiting a few restaurants that can accomodate us.
We have a birthday/graduation party tomorrow afternoon.  I'm not ready, but maybe I need a diversion from the boxes!!

Your unpacking is inspiring me to try cleaning my room! Maybe I'll actually give it a shot!

And I have a question, are shampoo bars better for your hair that regular shampoo in bottles? Or do you use them with bottled shampoo?

For me it's personal preference.  Most shampoo bars are without chemicals and more natural ingredients are used.  I do use Ojon shampoo and conditioner for a change of pace though!  I recently tried Peter Coppola's shampoo and conditioner(because that is what C has in his shower and my bars are in the freezer!)  My hair liked the soy in it and the change.
If you'd like to see what Ida has at Chagrin Valley you should visit her site for all the different ones she makes.  She lists all ingredients for all of them and tells you what type of hair they are good for or possible hair problems/scalp  that they are good for.  I think the site is www.chagrinvalleysoapandcraft.com If that's not it,please get back to me and I'll try to find the correct one!
Also to your question, use either one,but not together(shampoo bar or bottled shampoo)  I also find that I must use a conditioner after shampooing.  Whether it's the bar or bottle.

Unpacked another big box today.  I don't even know how many more there are!  I don't want to count them, just want them to disappear!!   Smiley
It was busy today  though!  I took Shasta to the groomer's.  C went to his friend Rob's Deli and did some work there.
He met me at home and we put up another grab bar for me in the living room, tried to fix my inversion chair (it's headed for the garbage!)  Too bad because it is only 2 years old and the arm mechanism didn't work right from out of the box.  I should have tried to return it,but the box was thrown out and I couldn't be bothered.  HSN was no help either!  I bought it from them, too!
C actually broke it when he tried to tighten a bolt. Sad  I'll save and get another one or just invest in a Teeter Inversion Table.  I really like the Tony Little inversion chari though.  It had heat, inversion and massage!  Oh well...........
Anyway, tomorrow is another day!  Maybe I'll tackle another box or just finish the doily I am crocheting.  I don't think I will work with a tiny steel hook again though.  I can say I tried it and didn't care for it much.
Mom's unpacking too in South Carolina.  Hopefully all will go well.  I'll see her at the end of June at a family birthday party.
More later!

This is the fourth day of the heat wave here!  I was stuck in the house until this afternoon wen C came home.  We were out on the avenue to go to the post office when on the way back I saw a sign in the ravioli store that said Vegan Ravioli!!!! Shocked Shocked Smiley  We immediately went in and stocked up!!!  Found A really delicious Caponata, too!  The lady in the store recommended this one and she was on the money!
So tonight we are having Vegan Ravioli!!!  The sauce is alreay made, thanks to C making it last week and freezing it!
So with all this heat and humidity,we are praying for a break tomorrow.  I think it's been about 97,so tomorrow is supposed to be in the eighties!!  Woo Hoo!!  Summer hasn't even officially started yet.  I don't even want to think about July or August!

If you could send about 10 -15 degrees of that heat over here to Minnesota, we'd really appreciate it!  Grin

Curlgirl - did you get my PM?  If not, please check the Employee Lounge for an important message.  I need to know you've seen it.

C and I have been doing alot of talking about the wedding and decided to get married in October!!  We have an appt. at a place to see on Wed. night.  We both agreed not to have a traditional wedding.  I never wanted that anyway.  Being disabled doesn't help matters either with everything from what to wear to how to be able to either walk with a cane or use a wheelchair or rolator.  Decisions decisions!!!!
I think we're going to print out the invitations on my printer and there is so much to do and think about and oh brother!  I'm tired already!!!!
One step at a time,I guess.

Congratulations on setting a wedding date (sort of) Cool

I can remember when Barb and I set a date and all the things we needed to do to get ready.
We pretty much did all the planning and pretty much everything ourselves and the one thing which made me the most nervous was finding a caterer because we did have a traditional wedding.

Well, it turned out that Barb's work did all the catering as a wedding gift to us because she works in food service and sometimes helps with the catering Cool

And when the big day came everything turned out pretty good Cool   Barb was about half an hour late but her dad was more worried about that than I was.

Good luck and I hope everything works out for you Wink
