I'm back!  The 3 day trip to S.C. to visit my mom went well.  I relaxed with some friends, went out to different stores and most of all de-stressed!
I didn't get to bring the foldable scooter though Angry Sad.  My mother gave me stress about it being too heavy for her to lift and it was going to be a hassle, blah blah blah!  Just to keep her quiet I said ok,I wo't take the scooter.  I'd use the rollator I had at her house.  It did limit me from exploring the different stores and kept me somewhat dependent on her and where she wanted to go.  What else is new!! Roll Eyes  All in all it was a pleasant trip.  The weather was great.  It was about 70 compared to 30's here in NY.  I'm freezing more than usual and I'm home only since yesterday!!!
C and I went out this morning to get some food supplies.  I saw my brother on the firetruck going on a run and that was nice.
C bought me beautiful flowers for Valentine's Day.  I will be getting my double heart ring that we designed this coming Thursday.  I wanted him to see it before Thursday just incase he doesn't like it.  I saw it when I went with my brother to pick out earrings for his girlfriend. My brother said it was flashy.  I'm not a flashy person, more classic and subdued.  So I don't know if I'm overly thrilled with it.
The ring is ok,but I'm not thrilled with it.  It is encrusted with diamonds all over the hearts, sides and the guy had made a mistake by putting diamonds all around the band.  He said he wouldn't charge for the mistake, but I'm not sure I like diamonds all the way around like an enternity band.  It's special because we designed it together, but diamonds all around is not what we designed.
As for my Etsy store, well no sales, but I plan on putting other things up and maybe I'll have some sales.
So today will be a relaxing day!
Happy Valentine's Day to one and all!! Smiley

I put two items on my Etsy store.  We'll see how they do.  Before I signed off 10 minutes after putting them on, I had 3 views!  At least people are looking!  I added another pair of fingerless gloves and a shawl.  I think it took me 3 days to complete the shawl.  Not bad considering.  I'm now working on a long vest.  Hopefully I can complete that within a week.
Not much else happening so I'm tired and I'll sign off Roll Eyes

I've been crocheting like a mad woman and the back of the vest is done, finally!!  I'm working on the right front now.  It's taking alot longer than expected, too.  All this while my dog is recooperating from last Thursday fiasco!!  It all started when she and I were relaxing on the futon and then someone was knocking at my front door.  I got up to answer it and she was right behind me,down her doggy stairs.  I then noticed bloody pawprints and then alot more blood on the floor! Shocked  Not a peep out of her to let me know she was in pain or shock either.  I picked her up and thought it was her paw pad,but it was one of her back toenails pointing crooked.  We were just at the groomer's the week before so I was surprised that maybe her nail either got caught on something or broke.   I woke my husband up and said I think we have to go to the vet's office.  So off we were in car service to the vet's.  We hit every red light in Brooklyn!!!!!
We waited and waited to see the vet,but finally we got him to see her.  Not a peep out of her,she was so good.  The vet tech had taken the nail off after cleaning the area.  It came off relatively easily, too.  She got a shot for any pain and meds to be taken orally.  She's bandaged up pretty well.  We go back in 5-7 days.  The bandage has to stay 100% dry.  So I'm always behind her when she drinks or uses the bathroom.  The plastic bag the vat tech gave us is a pain to use so my husband and I decided to use a plastic bag with one of my short socks over it.  It's working out well.
And we have a major snow storm!!!!  We've got about 7 inches so far.  When all is done the over inflamatory weather people say we'll get 12-14 inches.  I don't see it though.  They usually wrong anyway. Huh
So I'm back to crocheting and sewing today.  I'm trying to make eye masks to try to sell in my Esty store.  Hope to get some done soon!

Thanks.  I think C was more of a basket case than anything!  Poor guy!  I seem to get calmer if things are an emergency. When llittle things that happen I'm more likely to growl and get cranky.  Go figure!! Roll Eyes

Who knew how involved this pup's torn nail was going to be?! Shocked  D and I went to the vet yesterday to have her bandage removed and see what the prognosis was.
All my effort and attentiveness to keep the bandage clean and dry paid off.  The vet was pleased that it was very clean and dry.  That dog didn't move without me putting a plastice bag and little sock on her foot!!!!!
After cleaning it and leaving a bandage off, there's more to be done!!!
I have to soak her foot in a solution for 5-10 minutes 2x a day,let it dry, then put ointment on it,let that dry, keep an E collar on her to prevent her from licking the paw, meds. 2x a day!  I think the E collar is a smidge too short because she can still reach and lick the paw Angry.  I had two E collars that fit,but can't find them.  Either I threw them out because I was moving or they went into storage,  Either possibility doesn't sound like me though so I can't figure where they are Huh  Anyway, she goes back to the vet in a week.  Still don't know if the nail will grow back or not Undecided
During this time I made a jeans bag and thought I would put it up for sale in my Etsy store, but I'm not overly thrilled with the outcome of it.  I may keep it and use it for myself and make more to see how they come out.   Different styles and colors.  I think the straps are alittle too short though. I wanted a cross over bag and this turned out to be a should bag.   Oh well, practice makes perfect!!!!
