Hi, tried to send you a message again and it still won't go.

I crochet and knit and sew and make jewelry, so have been interested in what you do.  I taught all but sewing for Michael's for about a couple of years and it was fun, while it lasted.  The jewelry classes were frustrating because I saw so many people making things that were really ugly.  No color coodination or sense of proportion or style.  Bleah!  Tongue  I have also done needlepoint and counted cross stitch.  Almost every framed item on my walls is something I or my mom or my sister made.

Isn't following your creative urge fun?

Absolutely!!  Folllowing your creative side is so important, especially during these stressful times!  I will try again to find out what the problem is and why your p/m's aren't coming through.

I got note from Sakina that she couldn't send PMs to me a couple of days ago.  Maybe we've got a gremlin in the system and need some FM  Smiley

The "Reply" feature in PM's rarely ever works. It's better to just start a new PM to that person.
Every time I send a PM, I'll attempt the "Reply" feature first (just in case it does go through on the first try). But before I hit "Send," I'll copy everything I just typed, just in case it doesn't go through. If it does, great. If not, I'll start a new PM and just paste the message that I copied earlier and send it that way. It always goes through as a new PM.
Weird, huh? Huh

Ah,my long haired friend!  Just fine.  Busy sewing and crocheting away!!  Finished 2 tunics on the sewing machine!  Will post pics soon.  Am working on a crocheted shawl and the wheels are turning as to what else is up my sleeve!  Have fun in St. Louis!

I have several sewing and crochet projects that need completing, but between teaching summer classes and being out of town every weekend, it doesn't look like I will get to them for at least 2 weeks.  Roll Eyes

C and I are busy apartment hunting!  It's taken up all of our free time to go to different realtors and go through the same paperwork with each of them. Roll Eyes  I can't wait to go!  I'm so stressed by everything here that goes on above us.  You name it,it's probably either happened or is happening up there now.  I'm just stressed and am finding it hard to deal with the hypocracies and un fairness of the people upstairs. Angry Sad  Anyway, got alot to do and plan and prepare for!  Hopefully all will go well and it'll have a positive ending! Smiley

Hi, Curlgirl, apartment living always has problems.  I remember vividly.  I wish you lots of luck and hope you find a top floor with elevator.

Thanks,Ladies! Kiss  All is going well.  Since C is working today;I went to the R/E place to meet with the owner of the house.  She came in from Jersey and is very nice.  I signed the lease and we're moving!!!!  Thank God!!!  Not only is there more room, we can do whatever it takes to make it safe for me!!!
So along with the railings outside to get in, we can put safety bars in the bathroom.celing fans, etc.
The fun begins with the packing and getting rid of stuff!!  Atleast we can now eliminate the storage facility.  That's extra money we can use.
So off I go with idea planning, paint color schemes and everything else that goes with moving!!

Though I'm quite against the idea of renting anything, I know you're stoked to get the new place...so congrats. Smiley

Painting apartments is basically illegal where I live, so it always intrigues me to see people doing this on other parts of the world. Foreign concept. So have fun with that for me, k? Wink

Thanks!!  I'm not pro-reting either.  My parents have always owned, even after they were divorsed my mother bought her own house here.  When I began working in H.S. I was able to rent the apt. above her.  She luckily bought a 2 family house so I learned how to be more independent, but still have family very close by!!!
So C is over there as I type to tape, prime and then paint.  He's hoping to have all of this done by Sunday.
I've begun packing, getting clothes ready for the Good Will and trying to stay relaxed through it all!! Roll Eyes  I will not e looking back when I'm gone!!!!
Mom came in from S.C. yesterday so I was at Grandma's yesterday evening.  She really looks happy and I'm glad she's found a better quality of life.  Hopefully like mother, like daughter!  My fingers are crossed!!
I sewed a little pillow for the cat yesterday morning because she's been sleeping at the top of the futon and C thought it would be nice to have a little pillow for her.  So off I went to sew one up!  She is currently sleeping with it under her head!!  Glad she likes it!
I'm off to clear out the microwave cart and make dinner.  I might even have time to finish crocheting the beret I started 2 days ago.  I've done 3 already since last week and either they will be part of my stash for Christmas gifts or I'll put them up for sale on Etsy in my shop.
Later!!

Moving day is fast approaching!  Hubby and I got a lot packed, but there's still way more to go! Embarrassed Sad   A few more days until I'm in the place with windows, light and peace and quiet!!!!!!!  At least I think anything will be more quiet than here.  I won't be looking or be back on this block!  No regrets about that either!
I just have to make sure the dog, birds and cat make a smooth move.  Hope all goes smoothly!
