Sorry about your doggie. And the vet bill. I know how awful those can be. We spend at least $500 on Kelly before she died.

As for snoods, I look for small doily patterns (6" to 10") then finish them with ch-5 mesh. You need 56 - 60 ch-5 loops to get it the proper circumference. Second-to-last round is ch-3 loops; last round is: ch4, ** dc in middle chain of ch-3, ch1, dc in next dc, ch1, repeat from ** around, finish with sl st in 3rd ch of original ch-4. Then run your ribbon or elastic thru the ch-1 spaces of the last round.

Thanks for that info! I'll give it a try when I finish the cardigan I'm doing. Can't wait to try it!
As for the pups.......my brother picked me up at 9:30am this morning,got to the vet,was seen at 10am,left at 10:30,was told to call them at 2pm,got a call from them at 12pm and the girl said Shasta ws ready to go home!!! Hooray! She looked good when I got there,too! The doctor said she was so good,no flinching or anything! She's got 5 stitches and is bandaged up. We go back in a week to check on it. Has to be kept dry so every time she goes for water I watch her like a hawk and wipe up her spills and her mouth. She is definatley not dainty when she drinks!! Embarrassed

All in all,glad it's pretty much over. Now the recovery begins. She did have lots of little bumps on the same paw though. Hoepfully they will not get big like the other one.
Man though,that was some $$ to go through. First the $188 and then today it was $600! Roll Eyes

Anything for this pup though! Cool

Well,it's 4:19pm on Friday and this is day 3 without hot water. Angry

It seems that the tenants on the second floor went to Russia for 2 months,didn't pay their gas bill so the gas guy came to shut theirs off and he probably touched something he didn't know anything about. I couldn't go downstairs with him,but he said he'd been here before and knew what to shut. Well,we have gas,but no hot water!! My plumber came yesterday and checked it and after waiting for hours for hot water he told us that we needed a new boiler. So through talking with the landlady,the plumber ordering the boiler and waiting for it to come........all is installed but no hot water yet..........I am fed up. I haven't been able to take a shower for 3 days,only been able to wash up with cold water. That in it's self is an eye opener!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm waiting 1/2 hour more then caution to the wind!!!!!!!!! I'm taking a shower!!!!!!

As it turns out there is no hot water yet! The plumber came back last night and is here this morning. It seems that the pipes were crossed and no one knew it until someone's gas had to be shut. I told C to write in Sharpie black marker on the new heater"First Floor Only" so no one touches knobs they are not supposed to touch. I'm so mad that someone that doesn't even live here had the *)(*^&%%^ to go down in the basement and play with knobs they knew nothing about! Angry

Some people don't know their place!! I told C I hope he sees them before I do because I have no problem telling people not to touch things that don't belong to them!
The plumber says he should be able to switch the pipes and it'll take a few hours. When all is done, I am in the shower!!!
