Whoa! You require lot's of henna! Shocked  I use 100 grams and that's when I'm not being cheap. Grin In that case, I'll only use 50 but that's never enough. Grin

It's nice that C did your hair for you.  You have soooo much beautiful hair.  Maybe you'll take some recent pics?

How cool that your new makeups all were to your liking!  I hardly ever try new brands because I often end up not liking most of what I buy. Tongue

Thanks,Lisa!  Yes,he's sweet and I'm very lucky in many ways to have him!
Thanks LD!  When I can get my computer off of safe mode,I'll take pics!  My best man at our wedding was supposed to come and take a look at it,but when he and his family got back from Italy;his wife got a phone call that one of her brother's was in a motorcyle accident and was killed!  Horrible and shocking and terrible!
We haven't asked him of course, but he says he is coming by soon to see what we're gonna do about it.  I think we're going to get the discs and delete everything and start from scratch!
I use more indigo than henna really.  I don't want any red in my hair.  My grandmother was an auburn lady and I have too much pink understones in my skin so I stay away from using too much henna.  I'd say my ratio is 2/3 indigo to 1/3 henna.

Well, yeah.  I know that you do more indigo than henna.

It wasn't the ratio that you are using, but the amount that caught my eye.  Of course I know that your hair is very long.  However, the reality that you have so much hair that you need a whopping 500 or 600 grams to do your whole head, compared to my measly 100, is still amazing to me... but in a good way. Wink

So sorry about your friend.  How horriffic.

Thanks!  Our best man says his wift is beside herself.  I think it'll take her a long time to get some normalicy back in her life.
Thanks for the amazement! Wink  Imagine trying to hold your head up with that much stuff on your head!!!  It's really heavy!

100 grams is heavy enough, I don't want to imagine it.  Although, I wouldn't mind learning from experience once I get there. Wink

Last night and this morning I decided to try to french braid my hair! Shocked  Beginners luck was that the first time it didn't come out half bad.  I re-did it and it was ok.  This morning I did it again before C and I were out do errands.  I do it unconventionally by bringing each section of hair that I just crossed over in the back over my shoulder so I can hold the section in my mouth.  Because my dexerity is not what it used to be, I found out that it's better if I do this.  I'll keep practicing because I like the way everything stays out of my way when I'm doing things.  I almost find it easier to do than a 3 strand braid!

Like with any other hairstyle, it does become easier with practice and I'm glad you're already doing so well.  Sometime next year when my hair's a bit longer I want to learn how to french braid once and for all.  Don't know why it's intimidated me when pin curling didn't. Huh

I think you've given me an idea!  Maybe once I get more comfortable with french braiding,I'll try the pin curling.

Good for you!  French braids are pretty but I suck at doing them. Roll Eyes

Thanks,LD!   You know,I'm finding that a three strand braid is sometimes more of a hassle for me to do! Roll Eyes  I don't know whether it's the hand dexerity, the time of day I'm doing it or just MS garbage!  Anywho,I'm still practicing.  I'm not sure though whether I'll keep my hair down or try the french braid again for the birthday bbq at my sister's on Sunday.

KissThank you,LD!
We had a really nice time!  I got to see some people I hadn't seen in years.  My cousin(from my father's side) was there with his wife and we got to chit chat alittle bit.
I think my sister was happy.  She had a migraine all day on her actual birthday, the third so she lost the whole day! Sad
We didn't get to eat much because everything was late, due to her and her husband being behind a day,(the heachache).
We were able to get some pasta, shrimp with cocktail sauce and 3 bean salad.  My sister packed a doggie bag with sweet potatoes and fish for me and chicken and sweet potatoes for C!
The weather was perfect and I'm glad I got to see my sis for her b'day celebration!  My brother I had heard was home with a throat infection so he wasn't coming with his girl.  Bummer!  I haven't seen him in a few weeks, too!
I wore my hair down and it was just as well.  The temp. was about 75 and I felt fine with it.
On other news, I am hoping my polar fleece material comes in the mail today so I can start sewing a jacket.  Not that I need another jacket, but I wanted to try it for a first time at the serger and sewing machine.  Got the pattern, ribbon, zipper and notions, just waiting on that fabric!!!The sewing goes fast,it's the prep work of cutting out the pattern, ironing it,laying out the fabric, etc.  I'd like to line it as an extra bling with satin or jacquard.....we'll see!

I'm glad that you had a good time despite not being able to see your brother. Smiley

The idea that you have for a jacket sounds way cute! Cheesy  It's funny but I'm acutally having a similar dilema.  I just saw a cute jacket today that I want to buy but am debating it because I don't need it. Undecided
