The dilemas!  If I make a jacket or two I think I can alway put them on Etsy at my store or give them as  gifts.
I did see the pic of the jacket and it is cute!  Hard decision Undecided!  If there's room for it in the closet, why not!!

It's been my experience that one can never have too many jackets.   Cool

Selling it or gifting it would be a good idea...so would keeping it.  I think it's different when it's something that you make yourself, like you'd have more of an attachment to it.  Good luck with your decision.

It took me over 30 years to learn that one can never get by with just one jacket per season.  Well, maybe when you're still a kid.  I have a jacket, and two coats.  If you feel like keeping it, why not? Wink Smiley

C and I went to Rite-Aid to pick up the shampoos and conditioner that I wanted to get for my "experiment".  So $28 later,I'll ready to try this tomorrow moring.
I decided to go with Herbal Essences HelloHydration Shampoo and conditioner,a bottle of VO5 Silk conditioner,Aussie Moist shampoo and somekind (I don't remember the title,it's 3:35am Shocked)of Loreal Moisture Gloss conditioner.
I'm waitiing on getting my Denman D4 brush from e-bay,but I'll use a Conair wide tooth comb that I have for the leave-in conditioner combing.
I'm quite anxious to see the results it will have on my curls.  I'll report back what happens.
Other news, the sewing of the jacket is going better than I expected.  I put the zipper in and am going to sew in the two pieces for the neck and back that needed interfacing.  Then the sleeves and trim on the cuffs.  The hem and then I may be done,if I don't decide to line it.  I'm still tempted to do that with the jacquard fabric I have.
Had manicure and eyebrows waxed on Friday.  I went with a color that I usually do for my pedicure,it's called Wicked and it's one of my favorites.  Funny how I like dark colors for my pedicures, but light colors for my manicures.  I haven't done anything dark for a mani in years!!  Partly because I didn't think my birds would remember a dark color on my nails.  I thought it might freak them out.  They remembered the darkness and were fine with it.
Next project is a shirt or tunic for the pretty batik fabric I got on e-bay last month.
The yoga aka lounge pants I made out of muslin cmae out ok even though I have to alter the pattern and construction of it.  I may use an other pattern for the pants though because this was a problem with the pattern and I don't want to waste fabrice on something that's a problem.  I'll go with something that's smoother.

Results.......my hair is flat on top, culy and shiny from the ears down.  I think I'll play around with the leave in (quantity),smoothing and putting curls in order the way I want them to dry.    We'll see what happens tomorrow morning after I've slept on it.
For the first time trying a new routine,I'm not overly thrilled with the results, but like the shine and tighter curls.

Do you apply your leave in with your hair upside down?  I've discovered that when I apply my styling products w/my hair upside down I never get enough on the top layer.  So, after I've scrunched in the product and scrunched out excess water I turn right side up and put a tiny amount of additional product in my hands and smooth over the top layer.  Then scrunch it in just before plopping.  The top most layer of my hair is more wavy than before.
If you try this, let me know if it worked for you!

It's actually not a leavin in,but any really good conditioner.  I know you're thinking;why not use a leave in.  I haven't used a leave in for about a year because my experience with one was bad.  I'm doing the techinique on Tightly Curly's website.  Take a look,it is interesting and informative.  We don't have bi-racial hair, but it is for curlies.
I put too much conditioner on the top this time so I don't like the texture,it's crunchy)  so I may either wash it out and try again or CWC and try again next week.

Yesterday was the dog grommer's day.  Cand I usually take my pup with me in the wheelchair and her on my lap.  It was cold yesterday morning so I put her pink chenille sweater on(she looks so cute in pink!),I had a thermal top on and a short sleeved tee over that and my Carhardt!  The finishing touch was a blanket on my lap that I crocheted a few years ago.  I was still cold!!!!  Shocked:Smiley  It takes us an hour to walk this way to the groomers, but it beats the hassle of waiting for Access-A-Ride.
While she was there, we headed to the upholstery/sewing store.  I picked up some thread,a pink zipper, batting,a new seam ripper and looked for some ribbon, but no luck.
I'm still working on the jacket and the sleeves are killing me!  I might rip the connection of the armholes and the sides out to try to get it to look better.  The cuffs, hem and trim on the sleeves is all that is left.  I'lll make another one in a different style and see how I like that one.
The pink zipper is for a cosmetics/travel bag I'm going to make on my serger.  I'll use the batting and 2 fat quarters cut down to size for it.
M(C's friend) came over last night to watch the hockey game with us.  It was a good game and we all had a nice time.  Next time M's wife will come and we'll either play Pokeno( I'll teach them that one)or Risk.
Today I'll do the Tightly Curly method again.  Won't wait till Sunday since my Denman brush came 2 days ago.  I'll try Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo,VO5 Strawberries and Cream condiitioner, and Herbal Essences Hello Hydration conditioner as a leave-in.  I figure the whole process will be about 2 hours or so.
C is going to pick up my anniversary gift today from the jewelers.  I can't wait to see it!  I know what it is because I had to pick it out. I wanted rose gold added to it and the ring had to be re-sized.  I really wanted oval or cushion cut diamonds, but since the princess cut diamonds on this ring are VS2 or VVS2 and a grade G, I'm ok with it.  The jeweler we deal with told me it would be hard to get 5 oval or cushion cut diamonds  in the carat size I wanted for the ring.  I only wanted a carat or alittle under and thought it would be a nice match for my engagement ring.  It's ok, I love the ring and the jeweler said he made it himself so I know the quality is there.
I'm going to try to finish the jacket today and maybe start the other one.  I've got some ideas for the fabric I want and colors I would like.......so I'll be snooping around E-bay and Fabric.com!

Let's see..2 vests made and 2 jackets made since last posting... Roll Eyesevery time I make another item,it thank God comes out better than the last one.  I guess you get better with practice.  I finished the camo/tye die vest last night before the Hurricanes played.  Very exciting game,if I do say so myself!  C's friend Mike came over to watch the game with me and then we watched ZombieLand with Woody Harrelson.  It was ok.
Before the relaxing festivites I had microfibered the kitchen, dining area and the living room floors, gave the dog a bath, unloaded and loaded the dish washer, washed and conditioned my air with an ACV rinse that I desperately needed!  My curls came back witha vengence!!
I did two low loose ponytails ofr bed,or should I say twisted the left in a rope braid and did a three strand braid for the right.  I just can't get the left one to look "normal" when I do two ponytails,so I twisted it instead! Roll Eyes
The weather has been disgusting for two days so far.  Rain, high winds, cold and then humid.  Hopefully the weather will be better starting Sunday.
Mom is coming in on the 23rd and staying until the 3rd.  I'll fly back with her for a week.  Can't wait to get away from the noise!  It's calm, laid back and relaxing in S.C.  C and I are thinking of moving there when he retires in 7 years.  I think he really wants Albany or Buffalo, but it's way too cold up there for me!  I like the cold, but really!!!

Wow, that sounds like a busy time! Hope you have a nice trip down south.

Curlgirl, do you have an etsy shop? I tried doing a search for "Curlgirls" on etsy, but I don't think they let you do a shop owner search.  Smiley

I love twists/rope braids for sleeping in, even though my hair isn't nearly as curly as yours.

Hi KNS,
My etsy shop is called Curlgirl64's Crochet Shop.  I don't have anything for sale shown because my computer is on safe mode and taking pics is not an option with that. Sad  Hopefully hubby is buying a new computer next month since there is a problem with his.  I think my computer is too slow to get up and running,so when a new computer is up I'll be lisitng stuff in my shop. Smiley
I'm finding the rope braids fast and easy to sleep in! Smiley
