Thank you,Lisa!  Hope all is well with you.

I don't seems to have any luck today!  I lost the whole day to a blasted sinus headache!  I had to cancel my appt. with the primary care doc.  Rescheduled for Fri. though.  The ankles are still alittle swollen and the skin pain and muscle pain in my left ab area is still there, but far less than what it was.
On a brighter note,C brought me home some scratch offs lat night and I won $71,so it wasn't all bad.
My new Stone Mountain bag came from QVC today.  I opened when I was feeling more human.  It's lovely and I think it will work out fine.  I like the pretty teal lining.
I also spoke with the girl from an Etsy shop that will make me a bag without velcro.  Picked out the fabric and she'll drop by the fabric store over the weekend to buy it.  Small world that she lives in N.C. and didn't live far from my mom in S.C. at one time.
New computer, flat screen and clothes washer should be here within a week!!!  I so wanted a front loading washer for a long time.  As nice as the landlady is with saying it was ok.  She wants us to feel like this is our house.  How better than that can you get?!
With a flat screen in the living room, it will free up floor space for me and the rollator or wheelchair. Being placed on the wall will work out perfectly.
So all in all alittle at a time, things will work out.
Mom is coming in on Sat. to do some final paper work filing with my grandmother's attorney.  Mom sis thinking that things are going to be a little firecrackery soon and get worse.  I'm hoping not.  Why is it that when a family member dies, things get out of hand, instead of just letting things be????????

While C is asleep,I thought I'd catch up.
We were out early this morning going to the bank,Best Buy and picking up scratch offs.   Oh and the pet store.  I can't find my nest box so I had to settle for what the pet store had.  Picked up Yesterday's News Recycled paper pellets for the substrate.  With a few minor alterations to the box, C and I put it up and I hope Snow and Chloe will go in there.  Chloe pulled a fast one on me last night!  I turned my back to clean up my sewing table for a minute and when I turned back around there was another egg in the food cup!!!
After C saying how much he didn't like the idea of throwing eggs away(he doesn't understand that they may not be little birds yet)I decided to let the parents incubate the egss.  I figure she has two more to lay.  I'll call the pet store that I worked at part time a long time ago as a bird socialist and see if they'll buy my babies.  They have in the past when I was breeding my birds and didn't sell them privately.   Hand feeding a big time endevour that I don't know if I'm up to it.  The babies,if they are, will be cinnamon fallow white face cockatiels and albino cockatiels.  That's what they've given me in the past so I'm not expecting any surprises.
We went to Best Buy and I picked out my washer.  It's an LG front loader.  I'm happy with it.  Delivery and installation is 2/5.
When C cmae home last night from work he had bought me some scratch off tickets.  I won $82!  So today I wanted half in cash and half in tickets.  I won $33.  Not bad.  It's fun and I usually take half in cash and half in more tickets.  I had painted a mason jar to put my winnings in and I guess there's about $100 in there.
Mom is coming in this weekend for a few days.  She says she got a package from Italy when she returned home.  It seems that a cousin that I haven't met,but heard alot about, has a mother who crocheted a doily set for C and I in celebration of our marriage.  I was quite touched by this gesture and am hoping that when Mom is ready to send a thank you in Italian I can convey our heart felt thanks.
So off to the primary care doc tomorrow.  When I got up this morning,my ankles were not swollen(Thanks God!).  They were swollen in some stage from a little to looking like elephant feet since 12/30!!!!  The ab skin and muscle pain is about a 6 now on a scale of 1-10.  I've cut down on the Restless Leg Syndrome meds. from 5 to 2 a day.  The painful leg jumping when it happens is enough to make you want to throw yourself out the window!!!
Well,I'm off to prepare for the hockey game on tonight.  Go Rangers!!!!!!!!!

Wow. Those sound like beautiful birds. I had a friend who had a cockatiel way back in the day named Gracie, and she was a lovely snuggly and sociable bird. I'd be tempted except I'm not sure how well I could cope living with a bird that would probably outlive me! At least, my friend said that cockatiels could live upwards of 80 years.

Front loading washers are awesome.

I hope you start feeling better! Considering how much just a jumpy eyelid ruins my composure, I can't even begin to imagine restless leg syndrome. (((hugs)))

I must be ignorant.  I had to google front loading washer.  I forgot that my dad's weren't front loaders.  I've never seen anything else here.  I'm sure they exist but I'm not of an observant nature. Embarrassed

I can't imagine.  I know about symptoms and illnesses that sometimes makes you wonder if it's worth it all.  I better not attempt at words of comfort.

Very cool about the scratch off winnings!  My hubby is always lucky with those; me, not so much.  *shrug*  But as long as he keeps winning I'm happy.   Smiley  I hope the doc is able to help get your problems under control soon.  Oh, and the birds sound lurrrrvlee.   Cool

Thanks,Trisha!
Ii went to the doctor yesterday and had blood work done,an EKG and a bunch of prescriptions for different tests.
My blood pressure was 130/90.  I was shocked.  She said it was borderline and what might be the cause.  I told her I was a pescaterian, borderline vegan.  I explained all that to her.  She said now it makes it very hard to pin point why the bp is borderline! Roll Eyes  I don't eat things that would cause the b/p to be elevated so it might be genes or heredity.  Who knows!!!
I went this morning for a sonogram of my ab.  Resullts would be in later today because the doc wanted it Stat.  She has office hours on Mon.,so I'll call her Mon. like she asked.
I have a prescription for a Veno Doppler,Mammogram, CATSCAN and something else!!
So much for the neurologist!  My primary care doc is superior at getting to the bottom of things!
Had another sinus headache when I got up,but I couldn't cancel the procedure so off I went with hubby with my head in my hands.........this was a doozie, but not like a few days ago.  Took some SinuTab and 4 hourss later I was much better! Grin
Bird News:
Last I was able to peek in the nest box there were still 3 eggs.  Today mabye 4 because there was alot of bird chirping and screaming.  Not from the female, but from the other male in the other cage.  He's 17 and a crotchety old man in my opinion!!!!!! Angry  It's a three ring circus in there.  Thank God I don't let them out all at once!
I'll know if there is another egg later.
Finished the order I got for 2 Satin Sox.  I like the way they came out.
More later!

I think three eggs are the size of this clutch.  I have two potential stores that will buy them.  One place I worked at part time years ago.  They know me and have bought my babies before when I don't have private buyers.  The other place is a place my husband buys the cat's food at.  He told my husband he'd take them, but I explained to my husband that he needs to tell this guy they are not for free!  Plus they are not your regular cockatiels.  They are white face cockatiels.  I might have an albino in the clutch, too.  Snow, the male is an Albino.  Chloe, the female is a Cinnamon Fallow White Face.  So I want a better price for the babies.  Also I need to find out if he's taking them to hand feed or do I have to?  We'll see...........
I'll call the doctor tomorrow to find out the test results of the sonogram.
Mom came by today and we had a nice visit.  She'll go back to S.C.  on Tues.  She wants me to come down for another week.  She thinks it'll do me good because of everything that has and is happening.  The dealth of my grandmother, the health issues that are challenging me now.  I'd think about it.  Maybe in the spring.
That announcement that Susan made is very exciting!  When you purchase a pair of hairstcks,LongLocks will donate 10% for the children of Haiti.  How cool is that???? Cool
I really think it's wonderful that so many people are helping the people of Haiti in this horrible time they are facing..

I was just reading a few of the posts in my journal and I saw something I have to say.
KNS- I think you might mean Cockatoos.  They can live up towards 60 or alittle more in years.  Just about all cockatoos are social and snuggly!  They demand and require a lot of attention.  You have to be up on your training and socialization with them and all birds.
Cockatiels are cousins to the Cockatoo.  A smaller package, but not in personality!!  People who don't feed their birds right or practice good husbandry with their birds have them dead before 10 years.  I know of a lady who had the longest lived cockatiel on record at 32 years old. Shocked  So far my Phoenix is 17 years old,Chloe is going to be 10 this April 1st and Snowy is,I think anywhere between 12-14.  I have to check his leg band for the exact year.
There must have been a fight through the cage bars last night because when I walked into the bird room Snow was very upset and had a big blood streak from his head to his ceres(nostrils)  I tried to get him to set up on my finger, but he was so upset he kept running back and forth on the perch shaking out his feathers.  That's how birds relive themselves of stress, shaking their feathers out.
I covered Phoenix after have a very serious talk with him about how it is not tolerated or acceptable to hurt Snow.  I left Snow sleeping on the perch, head on his shoulder, standing on two feet.  That was not good.  I went back and checked him an hour later and he was eating.  Good.  Healthy birds sleep on one leg with the other tucked up high.  He did step up on my finger and was calmer.  Thank God
This morning he was active and appears ok,minus being attacked yesterday.
Tomorrow I go for the CATSCAN of the ab and pelvis with contrast.  The recep. reconfirmed the drink they give you is vegan.  The injection should go without a hitch.  Keeping my fingers crossed that all will go ok...............
This morning

Ok, hub and I got there before 10:15am.  I drank the stuff they wanted me to drink.  Some kind of berry smoothie.  It's just short of making you gag!  I had the chest ex-ray while I waited.  The staff took so long to get thier act together tthat I had to drink more of the potion before the CATSCAN! Angry
The doctor that was administering the iodine(contrast) made the rubberband painfully tight around my arm, proceeded to smack my wrist very hard to get the veins up.  He said the harder you hit the veins, the angrier they get!  I was about to hit him he was making me so angry and giving me pain!! Angry  He made a hole in my wrist and had to go in my arm anyway!!  We were done by 12:32pm.  Glad I changed my Access-A-Ride pickup time from 12:30 to 1:44pm!!
The primary doctor called me last night and said the chest ex-ray came back negative.  The CATSCAN shows a mass that's 6.1cm by 2.5 cm.  It might be a hematoma.  She gave me the name, number and address of a surgeon near her office for me to go to for a consultation.  Most likely he would stick a needle in my ab and try to get fluid out of the mass to test it!  Great, more pain!!!! Roll Eyes  So I'll call him and make an appt. for that.
Next Tues. I've got the mammogram and someother kind of test scheduled.  I swear if someone isn't poking me in the abs, they're trying to squish my chest flat as a pancake!!!!! Roll Eyes
On the other brighter side of life:
Birds seems to be doing well.  Don't know if the eggs are  going to hatch, but time will tell.
The other "evil" male I think attacked Snow through the cage bars because the there's tension there and they scream at one another.  Phoenix hasn't been out in 3 days.  Don't know what I'm going to do about it yet.  Maybe get him a mirror toy.  We'll see.........

Sorry about your unpleasant doctor visit.  I hope everything goes OK with the surgeon and that he's nicer than that inconsiderate doc!  I had my first mammo last fall.  Ouch!  I almost passed out!!  I hope yours goes better than mine!

Thanks! I'm hoping the sugeon is alot more sensitive!
I've been having mammograms since I was 18!!!  At 45 you'd think by now that I'd be used to the procedure!
