The only time she has it up is when she is working because she works in food service so she puts her hair under her hat at work.

Otherwise, it is always down.

Jealous of the length, color, style or all the above?

As far as I know, she is happy with her long hair  Roll Eyes

You can't tell by the picture but her hair is actually tailbone length which is the longest she has had it so far Cool

After making the mistake of going to great clips and getting seven inches cut off, it has taken about six or seven years for it to grow that long.

So with time and lots of patience most ladies can have long hair Cool

Your wife's hair is looking great!  She is lucky that she can wear it down most of the time.

She said she would like thigh length and if it does get that long she would probably get it trimmed more often but that is probably a ways down the road.

What length is the point where long hair should be kept up or can be kept down most of the time or does it just depend on the  lady and/or the hair?

The type of hair you have can determine how easy it is to leave it down as it gets longer.  My hair is very fine and it tangles very easily.  Hair that is thicker is usually less prone to tangles.

I think it depends. After I hit BSL I started wearing more contained styles. For me, it was easier to deal with longer hair that way since it didn't get as tangled or damaged from being caught in bag straps, doors, etc. Unless I'm at home, my hair is either in a braid or bun.
