I'm 54 and have decided to grow my hair out--it's been more or less short for the last 20 years.

This year I started using hair products from Lush and it is like having new hair. So much softer and easier to care for. I use their shampoos and conditioner. I used their henna for the first time a couple of months ago and was pleasantly surprised to find that it doesn't smell like most hennas. I've been using henna for about 20 years to augment my hair's naturally auburn color (which has gotten mousier as I've gotten older).

I've been using the haircare tips on this site's home page and am looking forward to having long hair again--give or take another year. The biggest pain has been growing out all the layers. I still have a little way to go before my hair is all one length.
