Dear Hair Diary,

Yesterday was babysitting. Sad  I had a good time but still, who the hell leaves there 3 year old to go tramping around? Boils my blood!  We were suposed to stay overnight but hubby said no way!  He went back this morning to help his mother.  My neice has been acting very bad and mom just can't cope anymore. Oye....

Anyway its been very cold -17c.  I froze!  My poor hair!  When I got home I oiled the whole thing, it feels beter now.  My skin was just screaming, thank god for Aveeno!

During a quite time, I spoke to my neice about her Imaginary Friend.  He's a yellow and white cat called Mugga who come in her dreams.  He hasn't frightend her or anything... So it could be a spirit, I need more case info on this.  I do know that her evil grandfather's ashes were kept in the house for a few years.  I don't know what they did with him.  Must check this out further. Case log still open...

Well, I'm off to clean my messy house and do laundry. Woopie do! Tongue

Dear Hair Diary,

Couldn't sleep lastnight.  I had a nagging sore throat that kept me awake. Tongue  Its been so dry and that hasn't helped nor has the humidifyer. Sad  So now I'am having a cup of tea.  I did use some throat spray (god that stuff is gross).  I am out of my herbal throat drops. I use Thayers slipper elm drops, they really help.

Talk about dry!  I oiled my hair and it just sucked it up.  I washed and let it dry and hubby said it looked like it needed more moisture, rats!  So I've been using my oil and water spray a few times a day.  My skin is not impressed with the dryness either.  More lotion!

Watched Paranormal State last night.  I think they made a mistake with the native spirit they were dealing with.  From what I was taught you do not mess with things you do not know about.  Alright, they got some natives to help them but, they did not listen to them, not good. They just went ahead and did what they wanted to do.
Undecided Lips Sealed

Any who I'm going to crank the humdifry up and see if I can get some sleep

So you too huh?  I've been going through the same thing here with dryness and I've been going through lotion like crazy.  I even have to keep water on my night stand because my throat has been getting very dry as well.

I hope we all find relief soon. Smiley

I hope we do too. Tongue  My sore throat is now a nasty cold...  So I'm taking aspirins, Buckleys Mixture and Recola cough drops.  I do the herbal thing when I'm sick.  I find it works better for me.

If you can - try to add humidity to your air.  It will help with your sore throat as well as your skin.  A couple of ways to do this:
  • run a humidifier
  • have lots of plants indoors
  • keep a warm kettle of water on the stove
  • if you have a fireplace or wood stove, add a kettle of water near the fire

Hope  you feel better soon.

Hi Lisabelle,

It is cold here too.  How about snow storms this year?  Do you get snow storms?  Heck, we had one where we got 4 feet!!!!  I am reminded of people on this site complaining about the heat in the summer.  Heck, I HATE winter.  The sun is only around from about 8 am until about 4 pm, the driving is terrible, the cost of snow removal (my driveway is about 130 feet by 40 feet so doing it by hand is not happening) is killing me.  I hate the whole different wardrobe and all that.  PLEASE SUMMER, COME BACK!!!

Sorry you have a cold.  I dunno about where you are but here the temps have gone from +10 to  -20C overnight.  I think everyone is getting sick.  Hang in there.

I used to just hate the hot summer heat (anything over 90 degrees) but now I am hating the very cold winter Tongue

I used to cross-country ski and went sledding so I do not mind the snow unless I have to drive in it.

But the bitter cold is something I am really getting sick of.  Bitter cold to me used to be like -20 but now 20 or lower degrees is very cold to me now.  And then there are the wind chill factors Shocked

I hate it so much I am thinking of one day moving to a place like maybe somewhere in New Mexico or possibly lower Colorado (even though it can get cold in that region too but for not as long).

This past weekend we were around -14 and some places very close to us even got down to -35 Shocked

Thankfully it might get up in the high 30's Sunday so if it does it will feel like a heat wave to us Roll Eyes

Thanks Joey. Angel and Jerry  Smiley ...

I went to my shrinks today and found that he's moving his office to the new hospital.... Not good, it's on the other side of town, two buses away(bugger...)  And its in the G-ward of the hospital no less.... I don't like the idea but there nothing I can do.  His offices are shutting down and he's beening moved thanks to the old hospital being closed. He had his office in a building off the hosptial grounds.  I told him if I have to deal with mental patients I'm not coming anymore.  He said no, they are on the other side of the building and not to worry... ...

Anyway I had a shower and feel a little better, hopefully this cold will be gone soon as I have a play to go to a this weekend.

Cheers! Cool
