Hello!
Mar 20th, 2008 at 11:17pm

Hi!  My name is Meghan and I'm a University student.  Last Fall I decided to start growing out my hair, and have been trying to be patient with the growth.  I've had one trim since beginning to grow it out (a few months ago) and now I'm trying to stretch the time until my next trim.  I think cutting off what I've managed to grow would hurt alot Sad
I'm not sure of the length in inches, but I have fine, wavy, naturally blond hair.  Right now the ends are very uneven from the hairstyles I used to have, but the all of the tips are starting to brush my shoulders.  I think I might be able to make it another month before I go and get a trim, with as little being taken off as possible.

Hi and welcome, Citrine!!  Congratulations on deciding to grow your hair.  Do you have some length goals?  Its tough to be patient with growing out previous hair styles!!  Your plan sounds good, I hope you have a great person to give you baby trims.

Welcome!  Grin

What I've noticed since I joined LL is once you start tracking your hair length every month, you begin realizing how much it really IS growing!

Good luck!!

Thanks for the warm welcome!  I don't have any set goal in mind right now.  My grandmother has some stories of pigtails down to her kneecaps, that might be too much of a goal right now though Shocked  I took the advice to measure my hair- 16 and a half inches.  That's not much, but it's a start!

Welcome!  Those initial months of growing out shorter hair styles are the hardest.  Eventually you usually have to do some trimming to even things up, but then you can just LET IT GROW!!  Good luck with this.  Hanging around here can help give you support and motivation for growing it as long as you want.
