Lake
Jul 26th, 2008 at 1:59pm

This is a man made lake called Canyon Ferry Lake which is on the Missouri river which is used by many people in our area for fishing, boating, jet skiing, water skiing, parasailing behind a boat, swimming, wind surfing, etc.

During the cold winters the ice is very thick and many people like to go ice fishing which I have done only a few times.

Very pretty.  Your camera takes great pics, the color of the water is fabulous!

I would love to sit out there and listen to nothing but the birds and the water! Looks relaxing!

It does look quiet but where we were it is close to the main road and some of the boats going by in the water have loud engines.

But, it is a pretty big lake so there are places where it is very quiet and relaxing Cool

The Missouri River looks NOTHING like that here. Think: Brown, dirty, and full of debris.

The Missouri river goes through only 1 of our cities which is Great Falls.

The headwaters of the Jefferson, Madison and Gallatin rivers which form the Missouri river are about an hours drive from where we live.  It is a neat area to visit with lots of history.
