I had a great birthday! Here's a pic of what Don got me

It's my birth stone, I also got a pair of black onyx earrings with tiny dragons on them.. Plus I had a little shopping spree at the mall and Jamacian food for dinner - Fried chicken and rice with ox tail sauce and fried Plantaines. Yummy!!!

I would've never thought that you could get foods like ox tails and ham hocks in Canada. I thought that those foods were considered "soul food", for the lack of a better term.

Dear Hair Diary,

Washed my hair lastnight and put in some Ojon and curl spray. Been doing alot of packing as Don and I got a new place to live. I cannot wait to move as being in this basement has been driving me nuts. I have trouble living under ground plus its so dark its depressing.

Well I am off to have some breakfast

There are no basements in California and subterranean structures have much better climate control! It would be a welcome escape from the sweltering, dry and blindingly bright conditions "above ground."
