Dear Hair Diary,

Washed today and put in some curl activator plus frizz serum.  What a day!
We had nasty rain storms and hail the size of marbels!... They were hitting the windows so hard I am surpised they did not break.... and of course I was watching a scary ass movie to boot!

In other news...Don's Grandma on his fathers side, passed away today, she was 96.  Wakes on Monday, funreal on Tuesday. Poor Don, he has dental surgery on Tuesday morning.  He is dreading this funeal with a passion.  All I can do is be strong for him.  ...  I plan to wear my hair in simple bun with a small white flower in the middle, along with a black dress, pearls and my mothers broach.   Only thing I am missing is the purfume Anise Anise. (sp?) I find it quite soothing in stressful times.

Anyway I got some busy days ahead me.

Lisa

I love the smell of Anais Anais!

Your outfit sounds very nice.  Sorry for Don's loss.

I love to watch scary movies when its storming-I light lots of candles and hope the power doesn't go out before the movie is over!

I wore Anais Anais all through my twenties.  I,too found it calming.
I'm sorry for Don's loss. Sad  My sympathies to you and him.  My only surviving Grandma is 97 and I know it will affect me deeply when she goes.
I think your outfit will be perfect for the funeral.

I still buy Anais Anais from time to time.  It's a good price for the amount you get and it's easy to wear on most days.  Well, it depends on the individual body chemistry.  It's nice to have one to return to that they don't suddenly discontinue.

Thanks so much ladies.  I will pass your condolinces on to Don.

Still trying to find the right purfume for the funeral.  This is what I have...
Eliz Arden Green tea, Beauty and 5th Avenue. Chanel #5 Coco and Allure.  Opium  by YSL, Chance by Jeffery Bean, Celine Dion notes, Amarige by Givenchy, French Connection UK, and Harajuku lovers in G and Love.

I was thinking maybe the Chanel #5??

My condolences to Don and his family. He's very lucky to have had a grandparent around for so long. 96 years is a long, healthy life.

5th Avenue and Chanel #5 are both good choices. Classic and elegant.

All the best.

Don says thank you so much for your kind words Smiley

Poor thing is having surgery in one hour Undecided  His past drug use has really messed up his teeth. We have  two tow truck driver friends, Paul and Brian, willing to pick us up from the dentist if Don cannot drive (stubbon mule!) They will just put the car on the hook and drive us home.  I hope it goes well as Don is NOT looking forward to this... Undecided

Dear Hair Diary,

The last few days went well.  My hair behaved!  Don's surgery went off without a hitch. The wake and funreal went well.  I am so tired I can sleep for a week.   Tongue

Dear Hair Diary,

Had an awesome Victoria Day weekend with Don.  Saturday night we saw Star Trekk!  Way cool!!!  Sunday we had an adventure down town we took the streetcar and visited all sorts of shops and street vendors.  We saw a lot street performers; my fav was a cute little old Chinese man playing a Erhu ( a Chinese violin) one stringed guitar with a bow.
...

...

I did my hair in to little buns on the top half of my hair, covered these with little black lace bun covers and added some pink tiny clips that had ribbons ending on diamond hearts.  I saw a beauty outlet and went and had a boo.  Don found some ez combs!!! I almost fainted!!!  I have not been able to find that hair toy in my country and have been looking like mad.  Needless to say Don loved it and got me one.  It has light lavender pearls and bits of pink crystals.  I LOVE it!!!   I think they were mentioned here as African butterfly combs?

Later we watched the fireworks at the lakeshore from our backyard. It was the best Victoria Day I ever had! Smiley Smiley
