Devonshire Apothecary makes an all-natural insect repellent that works really well for me.  They are on line, I think.  It is $13/bottle and comes in a big blue bottle.  Smells fresh and kind of minty, not chemical.  I use it at Bristol, where the mosquitos are THICK this year because of all the rain.  I didn't get bit by anything, except one on my calf because I didn't do my legs.  Thought two long skirts would be enough protection.   Roll Eyes  I knowbetter than that.

Dear Hair Dairy,

Hairs been good today.  I kept it in a snood and that helps to tame it somewhat.  Been working on my website, hope to get it fully running soon.

On the weekend I went out with Don on the truck.  I got a few pictures of him sleeping in between calls! lol! Grin

In other news I beleive I am going throught pre menopause.  I heard it can start around my age - 42.  I have stange periods and cramps. I really do not want to go to my quack doctor.  Angry Tongue  I have boned up on calcium which I hope helps.

You know I never heard from my Ex regarding the money for the divorce..what an ass.

Anyway I am off to bed.

Which anime is your avatar from?  Looks kind of like Inuasha to me.

Feel better!  BTW, soy is a phytoestrogen which can make bleeding heavy.  So, don't eat too much tofu!!  I'll bet you can find lots of natural remedies for pre menopause online.  Good Luck!

I'm glad Sakina said something about your Inuyasha avatar because I was so wanting to comment on it. Love it! Sesshomaru is perfect for a long hair board, lol!  Grin

I'm no help on the pre-menupause knowledge, so I'll have to just throw in my "Hope you feel better soon!" sentiments as well.

Wow I did not know tofu would give me heavery periods.. Shocked  I have to be careful which meno remedy I use due to my medications.  I know I cannot use evening primrose at all. Undecided My periods are wacko, I get cramps for a week then get my period, cramp free...strange! Lips Sealed

I really like Inuyasha, too.  I think I prefer the Anime movies to a series-its just too short!!  I really liked Cowboy BeeBop when it was on.  My superfav is Vampire Hunter D movie.  Ha-I'm on hubby's laptop and couldn't tell it was Sesshomaru but now I can see it since I know its him.

(((hugs))) I hope you find a simple and inexpensive solution!!!

You might try black cohosh; it's supposed to help with menopausal symptoms, emotional as well as physical.  Some people have good luck with progesterone cream applied topically.  I went on hormones for about 18 mos because I wasn't sleeping at all.  Have been off them for about 8 yrs and am doing fine.

Good luck, hon.

Cool!  I liked Vampire Hunter D as well.  I was and still am a big Salior Moon fan too! Years ago I went to an Anime convention as Salior Saturn, my hair was black then so it worked out great! My ex MIL made the costume, since everything was last minute I changed at the convention.  Well, she made the skirt way too long(the women didn't have a clue) so I cut it and pinned it in the washroom with the help of a girl dressed as Ranma 1/2! Too cute!  I hope I figure out what to do regarding menopause, thank again!

Dear Hair Diary,

Lastnight I did a heavy oiling of: Olive oil, Emu oil, jojoba oil and Camillia oil.  I washed it out today and hair feels great!  PMS making me feel yucky Tongue Otherwise I practiced my tea ceremony, need to get more matcha Smiley

I saw a very interesting movie on youtube the other day. Its called Genji: A Thousand Year Love and is based on the ancient Japanese Tale of Genji written in 900 AD by Murasaki Shikibu, along with her life as she wrote the piece.  A great chick flick Smiley The book itself is a excellent read as well. Smiley

Anyway I am off Smiley

Dear Hair Diary,

I just washed my hair.  I find that just before that time of the month my hair goes all greasy and gross. Tongue  Presonaly I cannot wait for it to end.  I only have 9 more years to go. Cry  The weather has been rainy and humid which at this point my hair hates.  I need to get more John Freida frizz serum.  The giovanni one stinks but that's all I got now.

Right now there is a bat hanging out side my window sil.  Soooo cute!!!...

Don and I got invited to a Japanese Culture group in town!  If we like it we can sign up and go once a week or so.  $40 a year is not bad Smiley  They want me to bring my homemade hairsticks to sell!...

I just heard that Obama wants to have the same health plan "OHIP" that Canada has....  if the US gets it be prepared to be taxed worst then ever. Lips Sealed Up here we are taxed 15% on almost everything! Shocked PST, GST......

Anyway I am off!

I was never so glad to get of anything.  I love not having periods any more, no cramps, no backaches, no pms.  And it hasn't a difference sexually, if you are wondering about that.   Smiley
