Dear Hair Diary,

Lastnight we got the crap scared out of us as the storm we got had tornado's in it!  The cell phones went dead and the light flickered on and off.  Don was out doing a tow and had to stop, grab the customer and flee into a store!  Here is a pic of the tornado taken in Woodbridge by Don

...
Don was very scared as things were flying in the air and roof shingles were everywhere. Cars were picked up by the wind as well.  Thankfully he was alright.

I have been in one tornado and one water spout (tornado in the water while in a boat)  Needless to say I battened down the hatches and hid in the closet with my bird!

Phew!  That was very scary! But were okay.

bye for now Smiley

WOW!!!  What an amazing display!  I'm glad to hear Don was safe!

I lived in Texas for 5 years a while back (and here I am again!) and never actually saw a tornado, although I would hear the warnings on the radio and news.  The closest I ever got was one day, my ex and I (when we were still married) were eating dinner at a fast food joint and the manager came out into the dining area and announced that a tornado had been seen in the area just a few exits down the freeway.  We were told we could leave if we wanted, but if we stayed, we were to take shelter in the restrooms until the manager gave the all clear (she was listening to the reports on the radio).  The nice thing was that she offered to replace everyone's meals since we were in the restrooms for the better part of 1/2 an hour and all our food was cold.

Dear Hair Diary,

I had to wash my hair it was just too gross!  So I used four tablespoons of shikakai and one of aritha.  Mixed them with water and used them as a shampoo.  I liked it! Hair is soft and nice and full.  Mind you I was sneezing alot from it.  Also so not get this in your eyes as it hurts!  Cry

I am feeling better as my cold has calmed down alot. Don is still sick - like most men he refuses to take anything.... Hence keeping me up all night with his coughing..then wonders why I am canky on two hours of sleep a night...

sigh...

Dear Hair Diary,

Hairs doing good.  Don's back to work tomorrow, which mean peace and quite for me!... Tis no fun being home with a sick grizzly bear for four days......

T minus 48 hours till Don's mother gets here...what happens then detemines the out come of our reationship.  You see Don does not want me talking to his mother when he is not around.  Nor does he want me to be friends with her.  I wonder what Don is hiding?  It cannot be anything bad about him I  don't already know, I have seen his rap sheet already.  ...

Anywho, I am going to enjoy tomorrow, I deserve a break!

Perhaps he & his mother don't get along? I could understand his motives if his mother would tell you all kinds of things about him that aren't true and he wasn't around to defend himself. Parents sometimes have very skewed ideas about their children. So it may not be that he's hiding anything, but just doesn't want you to believe her lies.

However, if his mother knows about something that he hasn't told you for some reason, that would be a pretty big red flag. Proceed with caution, my lovely, and stay polite. Wink

Dear Hair Diary,

Today I went for a walk to the library in town. But buy the time I was half way there I was drenched!  My hair was soaked!  It really wasn't too hot out either.  I said the heck with it and went home.  One the way I scored a Phlips threeway makeup mirror, brand new, from the trash and a whole set of new light blubs!

Now I subscribe to a Gothic Lolita/Cooking Cute page and join in there contests from time to time.  This morning I found out I won!  This is what I am going to get!!!
... Its a sushi set. Smiley...  I was shocked and happy as I left my old sushi set to my Ex, who wanted it.

In other news my plants are taking over! lol!  Here the pics of the Jade plant and the Peace lily.

...

...

Anyway I am off to make some dinner for myself.  Wish me luck tomorrow!

How do you keep the one with the peace lilies flowering?  After a short while I'm always left with just some greens. Sad  How do you keep the jade plant (didn't know the name) so green?  Mine's yellowish and either all hanging or reaching towards the ceilings.  I like that sort of "plumped" look and deep green.
