Thanks so much! Smiley  You know, I have no idea what the sconce says on it.  I bought it at my old job years ago.  They even had one that was half the size but I missed it as someone else beat me to it.

Dear Hair Diary,

Well I survived lastnight with Dons mother.  I did get the customary dirty looks.  She probably thought I was alot younger then I am.  Well if she reads my facebook she will see I am 42 one year younger then Don.  Don things she likes me, which is good.  She was not nasty..mind Aunt Lynn was there so she kept her comments to herself less Aunt Lynn would tell her off. Wink

The cold I just got over is coming back...crap!  I could not finish my breakfast and just feel like sleeping again.

Dear Hair Diary,

I am still using the indian herbs to wash my hair.  I do so once a week.  I find my hair is fuller but the curl flatten out the next day.  So I have been using my curl boost to help.  Sometimes I get bored wiht my curls.  But if I brush it out I look like a monster!  I could comb it very slowly when its wet then it will stay straight.

Oh I did not sleep well lastnight.  Don had a very small seizure. Cry  He get these from playing his computer games.  It happends once a year. I noticed it right away and got him out of it fast.  Very scary! Lips Sealed Cry  He's all right now, thank god.  I think it was a mix of his mother upseting him and the game putting up his blood pressure.  His mother is a ass...sorry folks but she is. Don got her a great price to fix her car's ball joints and tie rods and she went with some stooge who charges three times the amount!  And expects Don to pay for it.  Don was very upset as she seems not to trust his judgement regarding cars.   That tells me she is just a dumb, selfish cow! Don't worry I will not say anything.  Thankfully she only comes up to Canada once a year..evil grin

Anyway I made my Sweet Tomato Chutney today Smiley  Don cannot wait to try it.  He's working late tonight so I have the place to myself.

Bye for now Smiley

Dear Hair Diary,

Been so busy these past days. My alergies are driving me nuts as the ragweed is out. Tongue
I got the shrinks today Tongue I may need a change of medication.  My life has changed alot in the past 10 months.  It has been for the good but shadows of my past haunt me.  One just doesn't get over a 20 year marraige over night.

In other news it looks like Don's aunt Lynn wants me to join the Eastern Star.  It sounds like fun but I don't know.  It would be cool to be a lady Shriner, will see. Aunt Lynn and Don's mother Linda are big wigs in the group...think Grand Masters..wow!  Don use to be a mason when he was younger.

Anywho I am off to shower and have breaky Smiley

I missed the post about Don's seizures.  I'm glad that he's better.  It's strange that it happens once a year.  Does it always happen around the same time? Huh

Good luck on whatever you decide about the Eastern Stars.  I don't know anything about that sort of thing. Undecided  Although, I've always wondered if there was really a grand puba...like on the Flintstones. Roll Eyes

I sympatize with your allergies.  I don't know what the "experts" do in your area to try to help people live with their allergies.  I think we have a post code area lottery here. Wink Roll Eyes o  Glad to hear Don's better.  At least it sounds like you're not the only one who sees his mother the way she is.  That of course, doesn't necessarily make the lady easier to live with.  MIL changes from generous, unselfish, saint I can rely on 100% to unpredictable and untrustworthy devil without warning and no one else seems to detect it.  I've stopped trying to draw attention to it because I don't want to look crazy.

There are lots of resources online about Eastern Star and it's only last year I ever hard of it.  I hope whatever decision you make turns out to be right for you. Smiley

I don't know what they do here except they have a pollen count reading on TV each day.  and man it's been killer! Tongue What I do is kinda strange but it works for me.  I am alergiic to ragweed, so I pick goldenrod leaves and make them into a tea.  It works! Smiley  And no drugs. Cheesy Mind do not know if its good for everyone...

In-laws are funny...Don's Mom is like that in a way.  She gave us gifts lastnight.  I got some legwarmers, a night shirt and a silver and gold cross necklace...wow!  I never had a an in-law treat me so good!  Wink Don got a pair of jeans from her partner Vicky.  the Eastern Star is a very pestigues group!  My uncle Joey was a Shriner. so well see! and now on to my Hair Diary,

Got up this morning to the sound of fighter jets going over the house.  My first thought was oh crap WWIII has started! lol!  But it was just the Airforce practicing for this weekends air show.  I went out to get some goldenrod for my alergies and stood and watched them do there thing over lake Ontario.  Very cool!  We are hopfully going to the airshow on Sunday.  After the Doctors yesterday I went out on the truck with Don for a bit.  The doc upped my meds a bit... Tongue I wish the day would come that I did not have to take this crap...

Anyway I am off to drink my tea Smiley

Boy, do I hear ya. I live right near a Marine air station, so there are military choppers flying overhead all the time. Their engines rattle the windows of my house.
It's cool when they host the air shows, though, because we get to see a lot of old relics flying by. Biplanes, stealths, all kinds of things from WW2, etc. I'd never actually go to a show, however. Too many accidents. Shocked

I'm not sure how much you know about Freemasons and/or OES, so forgive me if my questions/comments come off as condescending or whatever--they are certainly not meant that way.  That said...
(1) Was one of your male relatives (father, g'father, uncle, etc.) a Mason?  Boyfriends do not count.
Check here for more information:
http://www.easternstar.org/eligibility.htm

(2) Shriners are indeed a Masonic organization but entirely different than OES.

Be careful with whom you affiliate yourself--but I'm sure you do that anyway.   Cool

Wow!  They were out there today too.  I use to live next to an airport so I know about the windows shaking Tongue.
