If you suspect they could be messing with your lines but can't prove it and you're already worried about your positions that must be "frustrating" to say the least.  I hope it's nothing of the sort though.

Drear: In truth, it probably isn't that way, but as things get crazier, it's only natural to be suspicious. ...

Tanai & Isabeau: Amen, my sisters! Grin

Hair: CWC with a vinegar rinse before the final conditioning. Today's only leave-in was Pantene Detangling spray. Ahhh...balance is restored. Smiley My hair was light and soft as it's supposed to be when I combed it out and braided it.

Other Stuff: My new, sparkly, blue debit card arrived in the mail today. Cheesy So I activated it and tested it out at the B&N café. There are always cute, intelligent guys at B&N. Wink
After that, it was off to Bath & Body Works to pick out gifts for my mother. Her b-day and Mother's Day are always just days apart. Ended up getting a lipgloss for myself too.

The water bill also arrived, but our consumption is down by 45% from last year! Perhaps the summer rates won't hurt us (me) all that much after all. heh Let's hope anyway...

Tomorrow begins another adventure in house/petsitting. I'm thinking of bringing some Herbal Essences shampoo with me just for fun. Shocked Yes, my dears, Angel knows she's hopeless. Roll Eyes

Summer rates on water?!  Was it always like that in CA?  Sorry, I was a teenager when I lived there and pretty typical for a teenager; Very oblivious to the costs of many things. Embarrassed

Trisha: Thanks, mom. *hugs*

Drear: The summer rates are new. As of May 1, the "county water authority" has imposed rations due to severe drought, with rates based on levels of water useage. Anything beyond your alloted gallons will be charged at insanely high rates (ie. fined). Angry

Water Bunnies! Again, I decided to use the "fuzzy" water setting on my aunt & uncle's showerheads, which is interesting when attempting to clarify. It seemed to strip the shampoo and ACV rinse from my hair a bit too well, leaving it dry and kind of tangled. Undecided I used Pantene Moisturizing treatment conditioner to rehydrate and finished with Suave Tropical Coconut conditioner, but the little aqueous flurries wasted no time in stripping those away as well. Fuzzy water is fun, but I think I'll try a different setting tomorrow. Roll Eyes

Happily, I did not bring any Herbal Essences with me this trip. If product history has taught me anything, it's that Herbal Essences doesn't work for me and whenever I break down and give in to the pretty fragrances, I always end up kicking myself later.
Maturity means learning from your mistakes instead of repeating them. Wink
Anytime I get "the urge to herbal," I've resigned to use it on my car.

Despite making a long list of things that I needed for this trip, I still managed to forget my Pantene Detangling spray. ... So serum was today's only leave-in, and it's actually working rather well. No greasy residue, as with oil.

Ended up diluting my Purity shampoo after accidentally dropping it in the shower. The cap blew off when it hit the floor, but I was able to grab the bottle before much of the shampoo leaked out. It actually left just enough room for a dash of bottled water.
When life gives you lemons... Roll Eyes

Adventures Of The Critter Sitter: Yesterday before driving out to Point Loma, I actually picked up a pencil, grabbed my old sketchbook from high school and drew for the first time in 4 years. Just a simple design really, but it didn't matter. I may turn it into a painting in the future...another thing I haven't done in ages. Roll Eyes

A sizable check was waiting in the dining room when I arrived at the beach house. More than I typically get for a week. Shocked
After unpacking my things, I lit up the fireplace, then dug into my purse for the copy of my annual review that my boss had given me...and torched it. To Hades with his naïve opinions! ...

The animals have done well for the most part. Two of them have special needs and are not properly house trained. But no catastrophes yet.

My car is a different story. If it doesn't get serviced soon, I may well end up stranded on the freeway. Undecided

I hope you get your car serviced soon.  I have been stranded on the Chicago expressway more than once and it's not fun.

Melusine: Precisely what I'm trying to avoid. Tongue Fortunately, I'll be taking her in for service tomorrow.

Hair: Another WTC, but no clarifying. Just diluted Ice Shine shampoo, Moisturizing treatment and Suave coconut conditioner. No leave-in's. Hair is insanely soft, but insanely prone to tangles, so it will stay braided all day.

Tried a different setting on the showerheads, but ended up with the same results as yesterday: greasy roots, dry ends. Tongue

Housesitting: Last day, thank goodness. My Only a few more chores to do before everything is ship shape. Then, I'll watch The Biggest Loser finale and wait for my relatives to come home. After that, it will be my turn to go home.

McDon't: Has anyone tried those McCafé drinks? NASTY! ...

Etc.: Had to miss band practice in light of housesitting/getting home late/having to work the early shift tomorrow. Undecided

Nails are longish and peeling like crazy. Not to mention driving me crazy. I'll go bonkers if I can't clip them soon. Tongue

Skin is also in horrendous shape after being neglected for a week. Tongue One more thing to address when I get home.

Check it out...I'm a diamond, daaahling! Smiley

Trisha: Aww, mom. Bless your heart. Kiss

Hair: A simple routine. CWC + Detangling spray. Style was a flipped ponytail.

Nails: Clipped, shaped and painted a strange, dark colour. Roll Eyes

Car: Serviced. Cool

Other Stuff: I've taken on the project of replacing my cheap, stainless steel fashion earrings (from stores like Claire's and The Icing) with real silver, white gold, platinum and the like. Low grade metals irritate my ears, so I am phasing them out. And you may be surprised how inexpensive good sterling can be. Wink I find the ideal stud size to be between 2-4mm, and it's been fun searching for earrings that small and seeing what all is out there.

Hair: CWC + Detangling spray + serum. The latter gives the ends of my hair the slip that they desperately need, but seems to leave a strange sort of residue. So long as it's not harmful to my hair in any way (which I don't see how it could be), I'll keep using it. Serum definitely seems to work better for my hair than oil, and I don't have to worry about it breaking me out. It's a win. Cool Now, I just need to experiment and find the perfect brand.

Other Stuff: Weather-wise, we're back in the 80's. The hills that surround the small city in which I reside have turned brown, meaning that summer is just around the corner. Tongue The sooner it's here, the sooner it's over...and the sooner Halloween items start popping up in stores. Wink

So...it's been a day.
Work was busier than usual, but it was payday, and after dropping my check at the bank, I rushed out for a little retail therapy. Oh, don't act so surprised. Roll Eyes

Added 3 pairs of silver hoops in graduated sizes to the new collection of earrings. I'd always wanted to have 3 pairs that actually matched.
Also picked up a new pair of black bead and crystal drop earrings to match an elaborate choker that I already have. Maybe one day, I'll wear them in my 2nd wedding. ... ... ... Right. Roll Eyes

Anyway, after a quick pass through Godiva and dinner at my favourite café, I arrived home to be attacked by my sister's dog, whom my parents were apparently watching. God, you should see my arms - she jumped all over me. Little terrorist. Tongue I played with her for a bit after my parents left, then she slept under my chair until my sister's bf came to take her home.

In hair news, Friday brought the usual WTC. Today's treatment was a combination of Pantene Moisturizing deep conditioner and Nourishing mask. The former of which is now gone.
Leave-in's were Pantene Detangling and Silk Drops serum. Goodness, I literally had my hand on the bottle of EVOO before deciding on the latter, and I'm glad I did. The EVOO needs to be restricted to an overnight treatment only...if at all.
Style was the usual "Hop Sing" braid, which will come out as soon as I've washed up for bed. I'm unusually tired already.

Can you tell me what stops the pain?
Self medication?
Science? Saviors? Tragedy?
How deep must we cut
To reach sensation?
Find it, bring it back to me
Where the void remains

Hair: CWC's over the weekend. Both days, I've used EVOO on the ends and both days have garnered greasy results. Tongue From now on, I will probably use EVOO as an overnight treatment only. The trusted flipped ponytail was the style for both days.

Yesterday, I got 2 new bottles of Biotin.

Etc.: Had to retrieve a mouse from my shower yesterday morning after the cat chased him in there and wouldn't chase him out. So I put on 2 pairs of gloves, picked him up and put him outside. Then, cleaned out my shower. Tongue
Later that day, a bottle of green tea fell over in my purse and soaked everything. Tongue So the purse and everything in it were cleaned...which is actually kind of a nice thing.

This evening, I went with my family (immediate, my Pt. Loma relatives and my sister's bf) to a seafood restaurant in Mission Valley, where I tried yellowtail and crème brûlée for the first time. Not together, obviously. Grin Both were rather good.

Now I'm kicked back in the living room, watching TV with the 'rents. Another week has begun...
