Melusine: Amen, sister. I think they think that it's fine if they're just joking around, which he was. But still...unacceptable.
And nope, nothing's broken. It seems to be almost healed now.

Curlgirl: hehe Sorry, my bad. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid of people getting the wrong impression, eh? All things considered, I'm thankful that God has brought him into my life as well. He's a dear.

Trisha: Grin I'd never talk to a brother that way though.

Hair: Yesterday I did a WTC as usual, but finished with Nature Fusion conditioner instead of Ice Shine. I want to use up whatever I can however I can instead of just tossing it. Being wasteful es no bueno. Leave-in's were the spray conditioner blend and EVOO. Style was a single braid.

Today was the usual CWC routine + leave-in spray + EVOO. At the moment, my hair is air drying and I've not yet decided on a style. I'd love to do some kind of updo and use the black rose barrettes that I made. We'll see.

Other Stuff: More of my wisdom tooth chipped off yesterday. Now it has a huge, gaping hole with jagged edges that scrape the inside of my mouth. I'm scheduling a consultation with my sister's oral surgeon next week and will get things done ASAP. Even though I can't hope to afford it. Once again, I have no choice. *sigh*

Today I'm off to Michaels to see what kind of fall merch they've brought in.
Ciao!

See, my reaction would totally be that of Trisha's.  Grin Cheesy Wink

Actually when quite a ways back a friend of mine, who was just becoming my friend called me that on two separate occasions. The first I aimed a rubber band at him, the second I beat him up with my lunch pack.  Cheesy Grin Roll Eyes Needless to say he learned his lesson after the second run in.  Grin Boys always have to learn things the hard way.  Roll Eyes

Tanai: I could never be friends with someone who did that habitually...but I have a very low tolerance for bs. Immature sots are no friends of mine. Roll Eyes

Hair: Clarified yesterday, but I spaced and used both leave-in's. Oops. Undecided Today was the usual CWC + both leave-in's. Yesterday I used EVOO on the ends, today it's serum. The latter definitely works better with my hair type, but I'll probably keep the EVOO on hand while I'm still growing for length. After a certain number of months between trims, the ends get too dry for serum and I need to use the grease. Tongue
Style for the day is a bun wrapped twice around, then pinned into place with the ends falling haphazardly as they wish. Something different.

What A Week: I spent the whole of Sunday with co-worker friend M and earned myself a gnarly sunburn. Tongue
Monday, I went to jury duty on 3 hours' sleep, then came home, drew a tepid bath with milk, lemon juice and baking soda, soaked for 15 minutes, then put on my pj's and went back to bed. Tongue
Yesterday, my friend T picked me up after work for dinner, shopping, coffee and comedy night. Tim Babb was in town, so we made an evening of it.
Today, I have the early shift at work and band practice tonight. I was invited to go to the beach this weekend, but decided to just stay in and let my sunburn finish healing.

Other Stuff: My sister, her bf and their dog are losing their condo and are moving in with us until they find a new place. I'm stoked. Cheesy

Sorry it's been a few days since my last entry, but as you can see, I've had my hands full. Busy, busy, busy...

Hair: CWC with a vinegar rinse. Spray conditioner blend was my only leave-in. My hair feels almost like it's been clarified again. Clean, light, soft, ahhh...
Had I put anything on the ends, I might have left it down today, but I didn't feel like it. So it's going into a braid when I get a break...if I get a break.

Music: Practice was long last night. Dad & I arrived late and consequently stayed quite late, so I wasn't in bed until after midnight.
We played ok and Lizard grilled brats with onions and peppers.

Etc.: The pace seems to have slowed finally! As of this morning, I'm no longer running all over town in the sun (ugh!) or staying up too late and getting up too early.
My skin is still adust from Sunday. A co-worker greeted me this afternoon as "miss sunburn." Tongue So I plan on staying indoors for awhile...in the dark. I'll do laundry, shop online and only go out at night if at all.

Once I am not so red anymore, I must make a trip back to the indie coffee shop that I visited on Tuesday. There's a cute guy who works the counter at night. Wink

Hair: The usual CWC. Leave-in's were spray blend and EVOO. Hair has been remarkably soft and cooperative lately. Almost like God's looking down at me and saying, "No way am I fixing any of your drama for you, but I'll give you some fierce hair, hunnay! Sashay!" Roll Eyes Of course, it could also just be the recent trim.
Style du jour will be the flipped ponytail when I finally get a break.

Etc.: Had to borrow money from my father this weekend, just to make sure the bills could be paid. Even though Friday was payday. *sigh*

But I ended up having just a little to play with, so I bought a few things from Michaels' Halloween selection. Their theme this year is black & bling Wink so I couldn't resist snagging a few sparkly skulls and a few black apothecary bottles.
Also indulged Aunt Flo at Godiva. Roll Eyes Other than that, I'm being a good goth and exercising restraint. Next month, however... Wink

LD: Yep, yep. Pottery Barn always has cute Halloween stuff!

Hair: Clarified yesterday with Herbal Essences Drama Clean shampoo and an ACV rinse. Yeah, yeah...every once in awhile won't kill me. I also bought a huge bottle of DWV so I can test all kinds of different clarifying combinations now and hopefully find the ideal one.
Conditioner-wise, I've decided to use up the Nature Fusion that I have before finishing off the Ice Shine. Then I'll reevaluate and go from there.
Yesterday's only leave-in was the spray conditioner blend and the style was a single braid.

Today was a CWC + leave-in spray + serum. Style? Haha what style? I'll probably slip on a headband and call it good.
Speaking of headbands, I bought 3 black ones a little while ago with the intention of decorating them myself. I've seen boutiques and department stores charge outrageously for designs that I could easily replicate, so I'm going to try my hand. Perhaps challenge myself to improve upon existing ideas. Or create something truly failtacular. Wink

Music: Practice tonight at Lizard's. Moon Pie's birthday is on the 2nd, so we're doing something special for him tonight. If our recent e-mails are any indication, that might involve bacon...and probably alcohol...and possibly nudity? Shocked Huh Ah, the joys of band life...

Etc.: Stayed up way late on the phone with guy friend M with subjects ranging from cars to The Cars to my eventual move northward to hair. Yep, he's a longhair...and you can bet Angel's offered a few black pearls of wisdom in that department. Wink The boy is a quick and eager study in most subjects and I love the opportunity to tweak young, impressionable minds Lips Sealed teach the willing. Wink
In any case, I didn't get a wink of sleep last night before getting up to pull the early shift at work. I'm surprised at how together I am...multitasking at the front desk as usual, and I can sing. Hope it holds up.

Well, more e-mails from the boys are starting to pile in. Tonight is our last electric rehearsal in the music room. It would be nice if we could go out with a bang.

Cheers!

Trisha: Sorry to disappoint, but there wasn't any bacon or nudity. Plenty of alcohol though... Roll Eyes

Music: Well, I'd hoped we'd go out with a bang, and we did. The sound was much fuller with Moon Pie in the mix again. I'd missed what he brought to the band. After the first 8 songs, we headed out to the grill where Lizard cooked up a tri tip steak for Moon Pie and burgers for the rest of us. There was also sweet corn on the cob.
Then we all headed back to the music room to do the next set and the encore, and finally pack up our gear. I'm still not sure where we'll be rehearsing with the music room out of commission. Probably the patio area by the grill where we take our breaks.

Hair: CWC + leave-in spray + serum today. Style is a flipped ponytail.

Etc.: I seem to have either a hiatal hernia or a stomach ulcer...I'm not sure which, but it's been bothering me for days and has made eating a pretty miserable activity. Undecided

Today I've stayed on a liquid diet as a precautionary measure, but almost as if on cue, it also happens to be my sister's bf's b-day and they're coming over for dinner. Burgers, beans, chips...everything about it seems to taunt, "we don't give a [bleep] how much pain you're in."

That in addition to being overdrawn and needing oral surgery. Ah well. If it's not one thing trying to destroy me, it's another.
