Exercising is for health, silly. For me, it keeps my heart and lungs in shape in addition to everything else, plus it really cuts down on things like depression, stress and anxiety, which have plagued me throughout my life. Tongue
As for makeup, I've already mentioned that it's purely a creative effort on my part. Most women wear it for vanity, but I'm not most women. Wink And putting onesself together, well...it's fun. I've collected a good many interesting pieces for my wardrobe and enjoy any opportunity to wear them out. There's no sense in having something if you can't use it. Besides, you just can't wear jeans & t-shirts everywhere. Wink
Yes, I suppose these things could be seen as vanity...by vain people. But that's never been the case for yours truly.

Perspective seems to be everything on this topic.  Wink

Gah I've been systematically doing that for the past few months. Tongue Which of course means about 80-90% of my wardrobe is useless. Tongue Angry And who's got the money to fix that. Angry
That's what jobs are for. Cheesy

C'est impossible at the moment.  Tongue So I save my pennies and do the best I can.  Roll Eyes

Bagsy on the Bunnyman! I so saw him first. Wink Grin

Yes, well he's all yours I confused him with someone with a nearly identical name.  ... Roll Eyes

Tanai: Perspective, yeah, let's go with that. Some have it, and others, well... Undecided
A near identical name, you say? Huh Ah well...blunders get even the best of us.

Hair: Yet another CWC, the usual leave-in's, single braid, yada yada. Had some more tangles in the ends this morning. Plus, the serum made them a bit gummy. Tongue What's up with that? Tomorrow's routine will be a WTC.

Music: The song is finished. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to feel about that. Happy? Accomplished? Relieved? Anything at all? Undecided

Guess it's time to accept that I'll be missing the Bunnymen show this year. God only knows when they'll come back to the states. *SIGH*

Etc.: My poor sister. Yesterday was her second night in her new place and she hates it already. From the sound of it, her bf and the dog don't seem very happy either. Sad Apartment life is usually pretty miserable in general.

For the moment, I'll be grateful to live with my parents in a decent house, have my own bathroom and not have to share the washer and dryer with 900 strangers. Tongue

5 more days with the ulcer diet. After that I can start eating like a normal human being again.

Hair: I'm just finishing out the week with CWC's and the usual leave-in's. Style depends upon my mood. Today, it was a flipped ponytail. Tomorrow, who knows?

she went away for the holidays,
said she's goin' to LA
but she never got there
she never got there
she never got there they say

the KKK took my baby away
they took her away
away from me...

Sorry. ... Ramones moment.

Etc.: Been stressing over financial issues again. So what else is new? Tongue

And I'm off to watch a little TV, rock out, then hit the hay.

Hair: Did sod-all with it yesterday as I've apparently come down quite sick. Sad I stayed in bed all day, never bothering to shower. This morning, my hair looked like I'd deliberately saturated the entire top half with EVOO. Tongue Disgusting.
So I clarified the old fashioned way. Washed from root to tip with clarifying shampoo (Herbal Essences Drama Clean, in this case), ACV rinse, another clarifying wash, condition.
The only leave-in I used today was the spray conditioner blend, and the style will be a single braid. I still fully intend to do 2 treatments this week.

Etc.: So yes, sick and broke. Does life get any better? At least I've had plenty of medicine, down time and old Echo & the Bunnymen vids to get me through.

Yesterday, I had cereal, a burger and chocolate, which did upset my ulcer, so I know it hasn't healed yet. But tomorrow ends the restricted diet and it will just have to put up with whatever. I'm not going to deprive myself anymore.

All: Thanx for the get well wishes. Smiley

Hair: CWC + leave-in spray + EVOO. Single braid. Personal care must stay as basic as possible while I'm ill.

Etc.: Today marks 8 weeks since the discovery of my ulcer and the end of my restricted diet. I've already had pumpkin spice, a coffee-based drink from Starbucks, nachos and popcorn...most of which did nothing for me, but none of it upset my ulcer either.

In other news, my sister has decided that her dog looks like a fruit bat. Grin

Get well soon and I hope your ulcers don't begin to protest again.  I honestly don't know enough about them.  Excuse me if my comment is stupid.  Well, I'm glad that at least that didn't cause a problem will all the other stuff that's going on.

LD: Thanx, I hope so too.

Drear: Not stupid at all. Most people don't know thing one about ulcers until they get one. It's definitely a learning experience. Undecided And thanx. Smiley

MichelleR: Thanx, and she's a German sheperd/lab mix. She does indeed look like a fruit bat. Grin

Hair: WTC with the Deep Fortifying treatment this morning. Leave-in's were the spray conditioner blend as well as an oil blend that I mixed yesterday. Of course, the latter left the ends too greasy to wear out, so I'm sporting the usual single braid. It's a good style for a sick person anyway.

Really, I don't have a good reason for keeping the oil around. The only time that I ever find it useful is when it's been months since my last trim and the ends of my hair are extremely dry.
Yesterday, I noticed that my vegetable oil had expired months ago, so I mixed it with my recently expired EVOO for hair use only. Now I'm considering just tossing the stuff altogether and using extra serum when the ends get really dry. If anything, it would be one less bottle hanging out in the bathroom. Roll Eyes

Angel vs. The Mucous Monster: It may appear that we're one and the same right now, but the truth is there's a very vile thing that's taken my sinuses hostage and forced them to do its dreadful bidding. In the mornings, I find it knotted in my chest and it takes several calculated coughing sessions to rouse it. I've been a right disgusting mess for days. My stomach is sore from constantly hacking up the beast and my nose is raw and peeling from having to blow it so often. Tongue This is going to be another slow, torturous exorcism...stay tuned.

I hate those kinds of colds!   Angry  The only time I feel halfway human is in a nice, hot, steamy shower.  The gunk finally loosens up a bit and I can blow/hack/cough/spit it out.  I found these shower tablets at the drug store that you put on the floor of the shower where water can run over it.  As it dissolves, it puts out these wonderful fumes of eucalyptus and menthol and it's so soothing!  I'm trying to find a link to it...it's made by a major company...Vicks or someone...blast...AHA!

MichelleR: Thanks, and thanks for the recommendation. Smiley I totally know what you mean.

Hair: CWC, with the spray conditioner blend & serum as leave-in's. Style will be a single braid. It comes in handy when I get home from work and want to lay down and rest immediately.

Last night, I emptied my expired oil in a planter box outside, then tossed the bottle in the recycle bin. Done with it.

Etc.: Tired. ... Last night, I took a generic nighttime pain reliever (aspirin-free, no worries) to help me get past my symptoms so I could sleep. And I did...it really is the best medicine. But this morning, I'm still run down and it gets worse as the hours pass. Thankfully, I'll have the rest of the day to sleep once I get out of work.
Cheers.
