Thanks, LD and Drear.

Mom's next chemo ( and hopefully her last) will be on the 20th.  She may have more chemo ahead of her as a maintenance plan.

I am in love with my Green Alchemy shampoo/conditioner.  I'm so happy I tried it.  It makes my scalp clean and exfoliates the dry skin.  It smells really nice and my hair comes out really soft, too.

I slept so well last night, and dreamed tons of dreams.  I think I slept about 12 hours!  The plane ride home was one of the worst ever-screaming children!!!  Angry Angry Angry

I've got a new do I'm starting to rely on.  Its a half up, taking the pony to the crown and rope braiding it.  Then leaving it down.  The rope braid looks really cool with the waves in my hair and the half up keeps my hair off my face.

I'm so lucky...hubby's making my breakfast today.  Poached eggs, bacon and biscuits.  YUM!!!!!  I could eat breakfast every meal of the day!  Ahhh, its good to be home!

I'm feeling very sad today.  Hubby has to go to China for 10 days and he leaves tomorrow.  This has been the weirdest summer on record for us-we've never spent so much time apart and I'm not liking it very much.  Of course, the circumstances surrounding my most recent trips aren't fun, either.

I hope we can do a weekend or weekday getaway when he gets back.  I was thinking Disneyland.  I know he wants to go, too, so I hope we can make it work.

It was so nice to take a shower here at home.  We have a rainfall shower head and I love it.  Also, its nice to shower in water that doesn't smell like sulfur.  I mentioned it to my dad in passing just before I left MI and he said that they don't even smell it.  Yuck.

I've got to get going-appointments and errands to run today and I'm still not dressed and my hair is in a towel, plopping.

I hope everyone has a nice day today!

I totally relate to the missing hubby thing! C was setting up a booth or building for the PGA in Lodi,so he was gone all last week.  He came home Friday night, but was fried from the heat, undesirable hotel room and busting his hump in the heat!  He's gone again this morning, but will be home tonight.(Thank God)
Hang in there with hubby gone!  I hope you guys get to go to DisneyLand when he gets back!!!  Have fun and kiss Mickey for me! Grin

Thanks, Curlgirl64 and Midnight Angel.  I'm salivating at the thought of having a vaca w/hubby and it would be so nice to see how the park has changed from my last visit.

I guess my hair's getting longer-its getting caught in ways it didn't before.  So, now I'm careful in a different way until it becomes a new habit.

I'm annoyed that every time I go to my parents house my face breaks out like crazy.  I've only been home a few days and its already clearing up but jeesh!  why can't it not break out in the first place!?

I was looking in the mirror this morning at my length and I think I'm going to want my hair longer than waist length, more like lower back.  I think hip length might be too long, so somewhere in between.  When I pull my hair straight it just reaches the top of my BSL, and I have a trim next month.  So close to my current goal!!!!

I get my hair caught under my arm, too.  Its a bit weird and I'm sure my breakouts are from the stinky well water and STRESS.

This morning I woke up with a sore throat, which I expect is from the stress of my recent schedule.

I dropped hubby off at the airport last night.  I hate being sick when he's gone.  I like it better when he will shop for me when I feel like crap.

I'm living in braided pigtails until I feel better, so I can nap whenever I feel the need.  Too bad I finished the books I just bought.  Dean Koontz has got a trilogy of Frankenstein-I read all three books and really enjoyed his re-imagining.  Apparently, the first two books were a screen play that Scorsese was going to direct.  When the project collapsed, he turned them into these books, adding the last one this year.

I love drinking hot tea.

Thanks, Isabelle.  (((hugs))) You feel better, too.

I'd still be in bed if Jupiter hadn't started meowing, pulling out the wood thing that goes under the door and clawing the carpet.  They're all watered, fed and the litter has been cleaned.  Now I'm going back to bed-I hope he will not disturb me.  If it gets really bad I will probably sleep in the guest bedroom where he's allowed on the bed so we can hang out while I sleep.   Roll Eyes

I was planning on a home spa day.  I guess I should wait, especially on the hair treatment.

Thanks, Angel.  Thank goodness I went to Whole Foods before he left.  I am gluten sensitive so I got lots of things I can eat - like Ezekiel bread.  Also, I have Manuka honey, which is made from the Tea Tree plant so it has extra healthy benefits.  I like tea, toast and honey when I'm sick.

I was just speaking with hubby in China on Skype.  Its an awesome tool, and good thing we have it, too!  Apparently, the government of China has blocked Facebook.  When I was in Singapore we chatted via Facebook, but can't while he's in China.   Angry censorship.

Since I'm sick and by myself I've decided to go back and watch some of my favorite movies with the commentaries.  I often forget to do that and hubby isn't interested.  One of my favorites is the commentary from "Hellboy".  They really had some good stories to tell.  "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy is good, too.

I'm avoiding looking in the mirror until I feel better.   Tongue
