Ugh, my sympathies for the diagnosis. I've had to care for a cat with kidney failure before and it's no picnic. Tongue

Last nite Cleo got tangled up in some electrical cords and strangled herself trying to get out.  My husband got her out, but she broke her neck struggling, we think.  She was moving her legs, but couldn't get up or vocalize.  He is on his way to the vet's office with her now, and I am very sure that this can't be fixed.  I couldn't go; it's too soon after losing Kelly.

I can't stop crying.

Oh, Melusine, I'm so sorry.  How awful.  It makes me cry to know how sad you are.  I pray that she's pain free.  (((hugs)))

Thank you for your concern, Sakina, Diosa and Curlgirl.  The vet said that she had hyperextended her neck and head trying get out of the tangle of cords and caused a brainstem injury.  She wasn't in pain, he said, altho'her larynx was broken.

I am pretty much over the tears now.  Last I just couldn't stop crying most of the nite, and again this morning.

The house seems so silent and empty with Kelly and Cleo gone.  The remaining cat  (Taylor) hides all the time.  I miss my affectinate kitties.

Sorry to hear about your kitties Mel.  I would be devastated too, if anything happened to mine.
