Checking "What's New" http://www.longlocks.com/whatsnew.htm I can see all the pretty new sticks that you put up regularly.  I'm quite sure that you are producing more than what is put on the site for general sale.  Custom orders must be a big part of your business.  I'm just curious, about how many hairsticks do you produce in a month?

You know, I have no idea.  A LOT, LOL!  It would be difficult for me to guess because I never work on just one pair from beginning to end, but I know I make at least a couple dozen a week. I always have many, many designs in various stages of completion, and probably do four to six custom designs a month as well.  I do know that I have made thousands of designs though, and every one was one-of-a-kind!  Someday I'm going to have to clean out my archive and organize it so I can do an actual count of all the designs I've done.  Like I have time to do that kind of stuff, right?

I do know that lately it sometimes feels like I 'm really stressing to keep up with demand because it gets so busy, especially when magazines with high circulation like "For the Bride" feature us in an article (you can see the layout at http://www.longlocks.com/for-the-bride.htm, that was a lot of fun!).  It makes me nuts when the boutique starts getting too many "Sold" signs in it, but I refuse to sacrifice quality by rushing things along just to fill up the store.  In fact, VH1 has recently approached me about doing a spot in an upcoming TV show that is supposed to profile people with "various interests" (their words) but I think I'm going to pass.  I don't really think that I can handle that kind of exposure and I absolutely refuse to sacrifice any part of the LongLocks Philosophy to do it, especially when it comes to mass producing my designs.  Besides, we all know how much I hate being in front of a camera :P  It's always nice to be asked, though!  It sorta validates all the hard work, ya know?  :)
