Hi FB,

I'm getting ready to deep condition but I am really anxious the try the diluted jojoba oil as a rinse.

Please post how you get on with  it.  Inquiring minds want to know! 8)

Increasing use of rosewater helped me to get rid of static, and now my hair is very soft and very well behaving...for a change.

How do you deep condition your hair? I'd like to learn to do that at home myself. Now I use just a hair mask, but it's not really the same.

Galadriel,
to deep condition my hair i buy.....deep conditioner  Smiley there should be some in the shampoo aisle

strawberryfine,
i chickened out of trying the diluted jojoba again....but if you want to try it (i may try again soon) only add about 3/4 drops of oil to the cup of water.....dont pour it in like i did before. man, my hair was gross after that.

maybe either this one is a wrong measurement, or the previous one. i measure ten times now before i conclude, and don't forget to hold your head straight forward too.

I haven't measured in months, but when I do, I stand in front of a full length mirror and look myself in the eyeballs. Either way FB, you've got such gorgeous hair and plenty of length to spare! lol Kiss I'd give my hair a vacation if I were you! Grin

Hugs, Anais

legomypago,
i am thinking of taking vitamins...i'll probably go back on vitamin C tablets cos i used to have 1/2" growth each month. can;t remember if me stopping them led to poor hair growth though  Roll Eyes

styg,
i dont think its wrong...every time i measure i do it a few times to make sure. maybe i should start doing it 10 times like you  Smiley

Anais Satin,
aww thankyou *blush*
im only measuring every 3 months now so i'll stress less about it...but i really do need to just love my hair and let it do its own thing. i love it, but im a pushy parent...always wanting it to do more.

aha! my new years resolution: to love my hair and let it be itself

yesterday i got the BEST compliment!!!!!!! i was waiting for some friends in a shopping centre (wearing hair down btw) when this older woman (around 60/70....with very short hair) suddenly came up to me from behind saying "ooo what beautiful long hair!" i said thankyou and she continued to coo and tell me that it was beautiful and very long  Grin she also asked if i took care of it by myself, she was surprised when i said yes..but it was a "wow" kind of surprised. she told me it was lovely again and went on her merry way...leaving me beaming  Grin ive never had such a long winded compliment! yay. though, if i do say so myself, it was looking pretty good since it was freshly washed that morning, air dried completely straight and very silky since i soaked my hair in jojoba oil for about a day before washing  Smiley tralalalalalala!

this helped cushion the blow of being completely stood up!  Angry ohwell...its not like im going to see these "friends" again cos they were from my temporary job...but still  Angry Angry Angry Angry

luckily boyf was available to whisk me off to dinner and stop me feeling like a complete loser  Smiley love him!

my hair has recently become even more smooth and slippery so it cant stay up in hairsticks anymore!!  Angry its sooooo annoying! bah!

im finding that completely covering my hair in jojoba oil (greasy and slick from root to tip  Smiley ), leaving it over night and washing in the morning leaves my hair sooooo silky! however i wont be able to do this every time i wash cos i start back at college tomorrow. this means i cant wash in the morning....and im definately NOT going out in public when ALL of my hair is slick grossness. just a weekend treat then.

try a 1/3  jojoba/aloe vera mix on your hair (just a small amount, like a drop of oil and a little blop of AV) and spread it as if you were oiling ... makes hair way less slippery and if you comb it out, the hair is very soft ... AV works in strange ways lol!
