Wringing
Jul 28th, 2004 at 1:02am

On one private website, I think it's "Stressless Tresses", the owner lady posted pictures of herself gently wringing her hair after a wash. I know it's "gently" but... is this preferable to squeezing up and down the length (a la milking a cow)? Has anyone tried the wring method?

Personally, I squeeze the water out of my hair.  I'm afraid that wringing would over-stress my fine hair.

I always squeeze too...but sometimes after taking a shower I'll bend over and wrap a towel around my hair and twist it around to soak up some of the extra water. It doesn't feel like it's putting too much stress on my scalp...

I don't think wringing would even help me- the water would migrate to a looser section and go back when I let go. I tightly squeege from the top down, so the water runs out.

I agree... but the website owner lady has nearly knee-length hair and it's soo gorgeous! That's why I was wondering if gentle wringing was so bad. Not that I'd do it, mind you ; )
