Sakina, I love how many pictures you have in your journal. I enjoy the visual experience. Your hair is just terrific, especially the spun golden color.

How is the corset coming along? Has Romantasy been treating you well?

Hugs

((Anais)), thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying the pics.  I know they'll remind me of days of shorter hair as it keeps getting longer.
Romantasy has my order and I'm hoping to receive it by the end of August/beginning of September.  I haven't heard anything, but they say no news is good news...

Don't tell anybody, but I didn't wash my hair Wednesday or Thursday this week.  With the high pressure system sitting over Arizona I've had a constant sinus headache-the kind that hits you like a hammer in the eye just when you think its getting better.  Today the headache is gone, so I washed my hair and did the protein treatment.  Hair is soft, smells yummy and is softly waving (thanks to Jessicurl!!)

I am struggling with saving money for upcoming stuff-wish Rapunzel would sometimes make ugly hairstix so it wouldn't bother me so much when I can't just buy what I want.  Now I say that having just purchased the cherry swingstix, but I've been trying to get a red pair to wear w/my red geisha stix so that goes in the necessary category.  (That's my story & I'm sticking to it  Tongue)

Somewhere in this ever expanding journal I think I wrote the instructions for a do that I now have pics for.  I'm going to post 'em all and then hope to find what I wrote.  Maybe I dreamed it.  Is there a difference??

Forgot to mention that I'm no longer sleeping w/ a french braid.  I now make two pigtails behind the ears and then slide the miniscrunchi down so its loose at the scalp.  It makes is easier for me in the heat and I think my scalp is getting more fresh air and thusly is itching less (besides the scritching which has been revolutionary for me)
Scunci brand makes these mini scruchis and they're great!  Easy to sleep in and perfect for pigtails.  Too small for a ponytail for me, but if you have fine hair I'm sure they'd work.

Quote:
Today's hair do is titled: Flower Bun Song.
Since I've been keeping it in a bun for the last few days I wanted a bit of a change.  A low bun was out of the question because of the waves put in by letting it dry in a bun in the middle of the back of my head.  So, I made a fairly high pony and sectioned the hair, pinning it into "petals".  I got 5 or 6 and my hair looks like a bun and a flower. Grin Woooohooooooooo!

I wore this today and finally have a pic to go with the directions:

...
There are 5 petals in this one, and the LL sticks are Dusty Violets Shadowstix
This photo was taken w/o flash-looks really different, huh?

It's so easy to use my willpower when I don't really have to.  Wink I'm glad you bought the Cherry Swingstix.  I'll bet they look great with your Geisha stick.  Grin

Well,  I'm totally off kilter having adopted two new kitties.  The older one, Ziggy is 2 years old and the younger, Jumpin' Jupiter is 2 months old.  Sweetie, our resident is 4 years old.  The boys have their own room as we go through the process of integrating our expanding family.

I haven't been washing everyday as I was, so I hope to get back on track soon.  However, today I wore a simple bun w/ hairsticks (wild fushcia fantasysticks) and the tail of my bun is longer...yippee!  I'm so glad I didn't cut it.  It started to feel heavy-I think I'll be having long layers and I'll just live with the pokey outie bits (besides-I think they give a style character)

Khrome-I don't think my hair's long enough for a Gibson yet.

Forgot to mention:

Newest addition to the collection...

Glittering Chameleon Glitterstx

Very pretty, very cool facets on the beads.

Awwww, baby Jupiter has an upper respratory infection.  He's sniffling and sneezing.  I've never had a kitty haaate to take medicine like this one.

Still haven't washed my hair, but I have been scritching twice a day (w/o oil).  Very interesting result.  I've been putting #27 on my kitty scratches, stings a bit but I think it makes it heal quicker.

Hip's bugging me again today, had more deep massage and it helped.  Still not sure if I'm dancing this Sunday...feeling a bit defeated.

Started new treatment Thursday-energy field/body/mind stuff.  Lookinga forward to process and results.  I have to do this tapping stuff as home work.  Interesting.

Seems like the antibiotics are finally kicking in, Jupiter's eyes are not so wet today.  Poor baby's still sniffling and making really weird noises.

Ehhh, haven't washed hair yet.  If I don't do it tonight I'll have to tomorrow before work-way too greasy at the roots to pull off the usual coverups:bun, bandana, baseball cap.

I'm watching this new movie on Sci-Fi called Bloodsuckers.  Normally I really like vampire stories.  I've decided to become an action hero-nominal actings skills required and you get to run around and stuff.  I can do that.

Need to start working on the Gibson and french twist for September recital.  Hope I can reasonably copy Mary Poppins hairstyle.  Julie Andrews wore a wig.

Woo - that #27 is good for everything.

Do not under any circumstances though - use it, not wash you hands and put in your contact lense  Tongue *urf* ...g

OH, Gabi!  Youch!  I've been putting #27 on my kitty scratches and it stings-can't imagine in the eye.  Lesson well and painfully learned, eh?  Sorry ((hug))

Ah, today (Sunday) I washed my hair.  Yay, everybody's happy.  My waves turned out so soft and pretty that I didn't put my hair up for teaching-I took my adorable mini claw clips w/blue rhinestones and clipped the hair out of my eyes.  This allowed me to see and keep my waves.  You see, if they get disturbed while they're drying they pretty much go away on the top layer.  So!  No scrunchie until the hair is completely dry.

Jupiter seems to be getting his energy back just in time for Ziggy to start showing signs of being unwell.  Poor baby has an irritated eye.   Cry

I totally forgot earlier to add to the collection:

Swing Cherry Swingstix

A D O R A B L E !  They are awesome and totally compliment my primrose geishastix.  YAY!

AND, I'm totally bummed about my length!  I'm shocked, actually.  Must meditate more.  Could a weakend ammune system have anything to do with hair growth?  I'm flummoxed.

This morning when I got up I sprayed the #11 leave in conditioner on and my hair looks so pretty!  I also scritched (w/o oil) and roots look full.  I decided to wear my hair pretty much down-it's only going to be 98 degrees today (which means humidity from monsoons) so that means the air conditioning in the gym will be up to high and I'll freeze while I'm teaching.  I french braided the top half like a half pony and english braided from the ears down.  This is a good, flexible style for me when teaching if I want to leave some of my hair down.  No hairsticks today, we worked abs so I had to get the back of my head on the floor comfortably.

Now that I've slept on it, I think my 19.25" is probably right on track.  I'm not sure how long my hair was when I got my last trim, which was more than 8 weeks ago.  Guess I'm just being impatient and feeling a little "less than" everyone else w/ their much longer lengths.

Think I'll get in a nap before voice lessons this afternoon.

Awww - I remember hovering around the 20" mark and it felt like it was never going to go over.  Then BAM, over the hump.

It sometimes goes like that, especially when you are watching the "pot" ... take heart that it's beautiful ...g

Thanks, Gabi.  I know you're right.  I've decided to kind of forget about my hair and just do my haircare routine.  I'm planning on braiding it more so its "done" and I won't think about it too much.

Today in the mail came 2 new additions:

Pewter Stardust SterlingStix

and

Sterling Stream SterlingStix SE

Man, the SE are so way better in person.  Totally love this pair!  Can't wait to match both of these up w/some geishastix (which I already have in the collection).  If I can just find some fun event to wear them to...of course, I could make up an event...

Some ideas:
I'm home from work event
Just got my period event
Favorite TV show's not a rerun event
Going out to dinner event
Just bought new ... (whatever) event
My hair's now longer than 19" event

Would love to hear your event ideas, anyone...
