*I feel bad about hijacking Sakina's journal so I'll make this fast*

Greek_Lady, as I understand it orbs are supposed to signify the presence of a spirit; so basically it's a ghost photo...but sometimes orbs could be a speck of dust that got captured in the camera's flash.

G_L!  I'm ok!  Doing really well, actually.  I've been "cleaning house" emotionally which takes up quite a bit of my time and energy so I've been reading everybody's posts (don't want to shirk my moderator duties!) without taking the time to post in my own journal!!!

Sad news: my voice teacher is moving to Oregon November 19th!  I just found out Monday.  I"ve got an appointment this Friday with a new voice teacher who's an opera singer, we'll see how it goes.

Hair is same ol' same old.  I'm starting to look forward to my trim in December, which I think may involve layers.  My hair is just so heavy I think it may look better.  While I still intend very much to grow it nice and long-my focus is on beautiful, sexy bellydancing singer hair. If any of you have an idea of directions I could go with the style I'd welcome your suggestions.  I still want to be gentle and take good care of my hair but as I move more towards regular performing I want to look my bestest!!

I had some body work done today and good news is that I no longer have any blockages in my tissues or energy.  So I hope to be dancing again really soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

More sad news: this session is the last one my guitar teacher is teaching.  I'm super glad I'm in this session and don't want to miss another minute!  (I skipped last week to recover from Halloween)

This Friday I've got a facial and body wrap/scrub scheduled!  Yippee!!!

Juri: The larger orb you pointed out showed up in another picture and seems to have a pattern which is probably dust or a reflection.

Nice to see you, um,writing in your journal again, Sakina! I remember you wrote that you really like your current voice teacher so I hope the new one works out well for you.

Thanks for clarifying the second "orb" pic. Hehe, I felt so silly staring at the computer, trying to figure out if I was looking at an orb or not. Happy

Thanks, Juri.  I examine all of my pictures for orbs, so don't feel silly!  Its good to be skeptical when looking for 'supernatural' stuff.  You are correct, Cory's been the best voice teacher I'ver ever had and I've put it out to the universe to send me another that is perfect for my needs.

I've been using my french press to make coffee this week, I really love the results but am not so patient during the plunging phase.  Sure makes goooood coffee Smiley !

Welll...Friday I had the best facial and body wrap EVER!!!  I felt like I had been on vacation all day afterwards Smiley
At 4pm I went and met with Jenny for a voice lesson.  I think I can learn a lot from her.  She's an opera singer, has 3 kids under the age of 6 and is younger than me.  I'm gonna give it a try.

Today is my last lesson w/Cory.  I'm bringing gifts and treats.  I'll try not to be sad.

This Wednesday is chanting day, I'm looking forward to that.

I hope my SS person likes what I send.

Chao for now...

Well, its about time I posted again in my journal!  I was under the weather last week so I didn't go to my second lesson with the new teacher.

I went to chanting on Wednesday and it was fun, but I wasn't feeling too good at that point.  Anyway, I'm better now.

I can't wait for my trim next month.  My ends are so split & broken I can't keep up with them on my own.

Since guitar is ending next month I've decided that my next classes to take are with the Parks & Rec. and I'll be doing intermediate belly dancing and choreography.  I wasn't getting what I needed from the troupe, I want to keep dancing and with a different teacher I'm sure to learn some great new stuff.  I hope I can be disciplined enought to keep up with my guitar-I might get a private teacher to continue learning.

I've got lots of new recipes picked out for Thanksgiving-it may just be the two of us and we'll have lots of food.  I'm so happy to have rediscovered my love of  cooking-even if my kitchen is too small for my tastes.

Ladies, I'd love to have you come over and eat!!  I prefer that to cooking in an unfamiliar kitchen!!!

All new dishes are super yummy!  I ran out of pans so one will get made tomorrow, but I think it will be yummy, too.

Oddly enough, the turkey got done before the side dishes!  It all worked out just the same.  Hubby's asking if we can do less next year if its just the two of us.  Somehow he feels it is more worth the effort if there are more people to eat.  We'll see...

Have a headache, not enjoying that.  Parents called, asked what I want for Christmas.  I was napping and not totally awake and answered honestly, which is a 12 string guitar and a harmonium.  Those are some fairly expensive gifts.  After waking from my nap and giving it some thought I called back and said I'd like a cake stand with a cover and a large capacity food processor.  Much more affordable.  I don't care if they don't give me any gifts, but I think they were shocked about the instruments.  Roll Eyes

Tomorrow I have another voice lesson with the new girl.  Feeling kinda weird about it-this past Monday is the first in over a year that I didn't have a lesson w/Cory.

Curlygirl22, I imagine that a facial and/or pregnancy massage would be best for you until after the baby...

The facial was the "usual" cleansing, exfoliating, steam, mask, moisturizer.  Since I had the body scrub/wrap first, she didn't do the foot/calf massage but she did do a decollete and hand/arm massage.

The body scrub/wrap was called Lavender Fields, lavender was the primary eo.  First I was the warm oil and salt body scrub.  Then you hop up and get into the shower and rinse off.  While you're doing that, she changes the sheets and puts a mylar like sheet down with a towel over it.  Then she applies a french clay body mask-very moisturizing.  After the clay you're wrapped up in the mylar sheet-looks kind of like a baked potato in foil  Smiley.  You hang out in the wrap for a while.  Very soothing.  Then, you hop up and shower off the mask.  It takes a lot of work to get all the body mask off!!!  Then she applies a lovely body lotion and you're done.  I really enjoyed it, and then I went into another room for my facial.
